My husband and I wanted to give a small business a chance with developing our film, and unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed. The lack of accountability is absolutely appalling. Between the two of us, my husband and I had 8 rolls of film to develop. At least two of those rolls were definitely done correctly - one was shot by my dad, one by my husband. The other rolls I expected some issues with since they were ones I shot years ago and don't remember if I did everything correctly. After about a week and a half, I received a phone call to confirm my email address for a Dropbox link. When I received the link, I only saw 6 folders, each with 6-8 overexposed photos. I was surprised they didn't mention anything on the phone call, but I assumed since the rolls were old, they weren't able to get anything else and left it at that. Then I checked in with my husband who did not receive an email. A week later, since he still hadn't heard back, he went to the store to ask about his roll. After waiting for about 30 minutes, the man there simply said they were blanks. Not only did he not contact us, and my expectation is that he never would have if we didn't attempt to check in, he didn't have the negatives or any other explanation. We spent close to $200 to get those rolled developed and didn't end up with a single usable photo. He didn't even try to explain anything besides telling us we must have used the camera incorrectly. He didn't save the negatives to show us proof. He simply waved us off and offered us an $8 store credit. Now all of those memories are just gone. I unfortunately didn't see all the bad reviews until after and I had hoped, since they were only, things had improved. Clearly they haven't. If you're looking to get film developed, go literally anywhere else. Lesson learned. read more

I came upon some old home videos and decided to look around. All of the well known stores I looked no longer transferred old home videos, then I came across 1 hour World Photo. I was able to bring 8 different kinds of videos, vhs, 8mm videos and all of them were transcribed on to a usb. I can now share this memories with my family and keep this footage for years to come. I have been coming here to get my pictures developed for a year now. Setrak is always so nice and always answers random photography questions - from how to use my camera (even if I purchased it somewhere else) to what equipment is best for my needs. The scans come out great and always timely. We request Dropbox links and negatives and we get our links on or before the quoted time. He also has a great array of point and shoots, SLRs, lenses, film stock, cases, and lately, I've seen a few older digital cameras. I'm sad that I've only been having not so good experiences at this place. It's been my third time coming here to drop off my films and have it digitally developed, and each time I think that maybe my experience will be better. Unfortunately, it has not. I have never gotten my films emailed to me until I call the place but even calling them is a battle because this place never picks up. Three times and I have never gotten my films emailed to me until I have to call and ask for them to be emailed to me. I wish I had a better experience since this place is one of the closer locations where they do film development. read more

I went here because I wanted to support a small business instead of getting my photos printed by Costco. I went on their website and the prices were slightly higher (so I thought). I called them to see what their process was and went ahead and sent over 13 pictures for print. When I picked them up I was baffled to hear my total being $210.20 He told me the prices I saw were for photographers....hmm you should definitely have that on your pricing page. He ended up giving me a discount but I still spent way too much money on printed photos. He said it's the best print I'll ever have...which is honestly laughable, especially when I took them home and they hardly fit into my matted frames. Came here 2017 and scanned/developed a roll with prints, 20 bucks. It was fine and the scans are decent. Came a few years later and returned a roll from vacation. It turned out completely blank. Owner still charged me $20 for it though, and I thought nothing of it like it was user error. Flash forward May 2022, I come back and I drop a Kodak Gold 200 roll of 120 film, not expired and properly loaded. I pay the guy $20 again and I get it back nearly blank. Shot the suggested speed on the box and they exposures came back crushed. Interestingly the frame of the film isn't visible either. I believe it was a development issue. No refunds, either. Left feeling scammed. He took 10 minutes to look for my pack. Definitely not one hour, like a couple business days world photo. It sucks that there isn't many photo labs and I have to leave a negative review but I definitely won't be sending my photos here anymore. read more

TL;DR - This establishment has incredibly dishonest business practices. Take your business elsewhere! I should have read the other low rating reviews before coming here. They are all 100% accurate. FIRST RED FLAG. I sent over my digitals after calling. Setrak asked what size prints I needed and I tell him that I sized the pictures in Photoshop/Lightroom already. He tells me that I need to put the dimensions of the prints in the file name. Fine. Understandable. Then he states, "I am very busy!". I laugh it off and end the call so I can organize my digitals by size. After sending the photos over, I go into the store to finalize the transaction. SECOND RED FLAG. There are no prices listed anywhere! He didn't even quote me a price when I brought my digitals in. Setrak tells me that I can come pick my photos up on Monday afternoon. No other information was exchanged at this time. I left with the impression that he would only be printing my photos. No other services needed. THIRD RED FLAG. This one is also mentioned by other reviewers. Come Monday afternoon, I call to ask for an update and was told that I would be able to pick up after 4:00PM. An hour later, Setrak calls and tells me that I won't be able to pick up until Tuesday (today). Fine. He states that he would call me once the pictures are done on Tuesday. Today, I call at 2:00PM asking if the pictures are done. He says I can come pick them up. Why didn't he call me like he said he would? He was probably too busy /s. FOURTH RED FLAG. I go into the establishment to pick up my photos and he shows me a handful of them to satisfy me. I should've looked through all them instead of waiting until I got home. Most, if not all, of my photos have had their exposures and levels adjusted. What's going on!? Is this why it was taking so long? I'm not a professional, but I expect my photos to be printed as is unless expressed otherwise! I'm here for printing services not editing services!!! Other reviewers who were complaining about the pricing never listed them. So I'm going to list the prices I was charged below for the sake of transparency. 4x6 - $1.75 per Lustre finish photo print 5x5 - $2.50 per Lustre finish photo print 5x7 - $3.75 per Lustre finish photo print In total, I had 91 photos printed and I was charged $238.00. Ordered scans for two rolls of film on a Monday and was told I'd receive them back on Wednesday or Thursday. An hour before closing on Thursday I called and was told that I'd receive them the next day. I was told this again Friday and again Saturday until I received them the next Monday night. A week turnaround is totally understandable. But telling me I'll get them the next day for like 4 days in a row is a little frustrating. Scans were great though! read more

Got a two sets of Passport photos done. Took no more than 15 minutes. The owner is friendly, and knowledgeable of Camera/Film. I asked him how long has he been in business, and he said since 1991, but only in that location the past few years. This place also develops those disposable cameras, which is cool since I let my kids take a bunch of random pictures at school with those (Instead of giving them a camera phone or a SLR) and it cost about $16.99 to develop. read more

I've been taking my film to walgreens to be developed for over a year now until one day I got a roll back that was terrible & poorly developed so I decided to come here to drop off my film & im so glad I did. Setrak is a professional, his work is an art! So many people are complaining that the film took a day or two later than he first said but remember he does it himself & if you look around he receives tons of film to process daily. The photos turned out amazing, the color was beautiful & they had a nice depth of grain to them. The different between him & walgreens is ridiculous & I'm never ever going back to walgreens/ CVS! This review is middle of the table because although this place does excellent work and are masters of their craft; the prices for processing of photo film we're a bit pricey, not to mention I was given a different (lower) quote over the phone. Also, upon dropping off my film I was told they'd be ready and uploaded to a Dropbox folder later that week. When that day came I called for a status on my film and was told that I didn't order scans and I only ordered prints. I informed him that I NEVER have and never will order prints of my film, only scans. He then informed me that my scans wouldn't be ready until the following week. I bought a disposable camera and needed pictures developed. I called to check pricing and how long it would take. The man answered and said it will take 3 days to process (this is a Thursday I called). I went to drop it off and he says it won't be done until Tuesday. That is definitely more than 3 days, but okay. Today comes to pick my pictures up and he says they will be done by TOMORROW. So he tells me 3 days and it ends up taking almost a week for my photos. I'm upset because I wanted to support a small business instead of CVS, but I will just stick to CVS for now on. read more

Stay away from this shop. The owner never provided a price to us for the developing of our photos. He told me he would email us the quote, but he never did. When we went to pick them up he charged my wife $97 for three panoramic shots 18"x5" and 5 4"x6" photos, what a total rip off! To add insult to injury he cropped one of the panoramic photos incorrectly so it was to short. Please stay away from this unethical business person in my opinion. read more

World Photo is great. Setrak is an experienced photographer who runs a great shop. I bring all of my 35mm film here to get developed, scanned, and printed. They always turn out very well. Setrak always offers great advice, and he is happy to answer any questions I have about film photography. If I ever need something done by a certain time he always gets it done. The gear he sells is in mint condition. I have bought a few lenses here as well as a flash. These things are decades old but look like they just came out of the box. The owner was very friendly when I asked if they sold film and there were plenty of choices to choose from! I accidentally chose the wrong film and he told me before and made sure I chose the correct one before I was about to purchase it. I've been looking all over for a local place to develop my film that didn't cost a fortune. I had considered going to CVS or Walmart but the quality and reputation isn't there. Let alone they don't develop the film there, they ship it and it takes over a week to get back. I was pleased when I met Setrak at world photo and got my film developed. He was very kind and has a lot of knowledge in photography. When I handed over my film he said he'd get it back to me within three days and he did just that! Plus he didn't even charge me full price for a roll of film that had nothing on it. The prints came out great and he even uploaded the prints onto a USB drive for me. His prices are reasonable and he does the work himself. An added bonus is he works on cameras if you ever need it fixed. Overall great interaction even with a pandemic happening. read more
