Came on a Thursday afternoon -- not too crowded at all. There appears to be experts stationed every few feet under different major brands. The store is very clean and well organized. He was this way with all the customers he interacted with and seemed like he genuinely cared for his customers. This place has become a complete joke. I've been going here for nearly 30 years , mostly because it's the only camera store still standing. I can't tell you how much business I've given them over the years, but i can tell you I've had enough. The staff is mostly incompetent , they will lie to you, or worse take your money for something they never fall through on and deliver. Most the salesmen come off like slimy used car salesmen. So currently I brought an item to Justin who does repairs (lol) ... after visiting the store multiple times and they couldn't find out where the part was they ordered me, and after the 3rd time I came in , it was the wrong part. They didn't issue a refund , said they would re order and asked me to leave my equipment with them., (no chance your store is in shambles) well it's been over a month and no call .... when I call in they answer the phone and say hold on, then leave me on hold and don't ever pick up. I'll be in to get a refund soon , and if you're reading this take your business to B&H or one one the samys cameras in LA , this place is stocked full of morons. read more

Unfortunately was not greeted well upon my visit to this shop. After asking if they do free consultations for repairs like they say on their website, the young man with glasses and pins on his lanyard replied rudely "We don't do repairs here" and I replied "That's not what I'm asking" and he replied "okay whatever let me see". As someone who values their equipment, I do not wish my equipment to be in the hands of someone who does not listen and rudely shrugs off a customer. Exceptional knowledge and service. Frank A. is my go-to expert for anything related to photography. I recently struggled with replacing the proprietary ball joint on my Elgato Key Light because it wouldn't accept a standard 1/4" thread or conventional ball joint. Frank immediately showed me how to remove the original ball joint and replace it with a standard one, giving me the flexibility to mount the Key Light on a post. What took me hours of searching and frustration, Frank solved in just a few seconds. On top of that, he recommended a Ulanzi quick-release ball joint that works perfectly with my setup. Really helpful staff. Patient and informative. They have a wide selection of new/used cameras and lens. Their prices are pretty standard, but the good thing is you can test out cameras in-store vs buying online. The only disappointment I had was the employee offering me free stuff to make the camera seem like a very good deal. I realized later on that the free stuff already came with the camera if you checked their online store. They didn't even offer me the free stuff to begin with. Only after I was a little hesistant to buy the camera, then they offered me 1-2 small accessories. So essentially, if I just bought it right away, I would've been scammed 1-2 free accessories that was supposed to be part of the original deal. Besides that little hustle, I thouht the store was okay. I returned a lens and got a different one. No complications there. Still a camera store I would go to next time but check their online store first to make sure I'm not getting skimmed off any free items that was supposed to be included with the camera/lens I would buy in the future. read more
