Using Happy Photos for our engagement session was a surprisingly wonderful experience for me and my fiancé. When we met Xuong, he presented himself as jubilent, excited and eager to shoot us. We met him at a local park and although it was windy and freezing, you couldn't tell from our pictures. My fiancé isn't one to smile and be "cutesy" for a photo session but Xuong immediately put him at ease with simple directions and lots of funny comments. We laughed the entire session! We hired Happy Photos for our wedding after seeing him photographing at many social and business events for the city, then meeting with him at his studio, and all the great referrals from his many past clients. Xuong provided us with a short and easy to understand contract and was always available to answer any questions. He was very helpful with making suggestions for other vendors as well, since he knows so many good companies from his decade plus of being in the wedding industry. On the day of the wedding, Xuong showed up earlier than everyone to scope out the area and find the best spots to photograph. I don't know how he did it, but after 15 minutes of talking to everyone, he knew each and everyone's name by heart! Trippy. He fit in with the family and talked to everyone like he was just Cousin, Xuong like he had told us at the initial meeting. After awhile, we did not even notice his presence when taking photos and that was just genius! When it came to the posed shots (which I hate), he was so funny and engaging that it became fun. He has got all the poses down for girls and guys! He was able to get all the necessary photos and still keep us on schedule. I was most impressed by how quickly they edited and delivered the photos. I know he loves what he does because he sent us some photos to tease us that night even though it was super late! As he explained, he has a team of editors and designers that take the images and create magic!
