When starting to plan our wedding in June 2017, my husband and I were overwhelmed by where to start, but we were certain that the one thing we wanted to ensure was exceptional was our photography and videography, because we wanted to capture memories that we would cherish with our family forever. The sheer volume of wedding photographers and videographers between Los Angeles, Orange, and San Diego counties was astounding, so we turned to our favorite resource for seeking professional, quality services - Yelp!
My husband and I both set out to do research on photographers and videographers, and after reviewing websites, portfolios, and prices, we sat down to compare our findings and recommendations with each other, and found that the one we both had flagged was Vienna Rose Photography. We were in need of taking photos for our Save the Dates, and wanted an opportunity to test our chemistry with and the style of our prospective wedding photographer, so we decided reached out to Conor and Brittany McLandrich with Vienna Rose Photography for a mini session.
Conor and Brittany got back to us right away and we scheduled our mini session at a beautiful outdoor trail location conveniently located for both of us. It was our first time taking professional photographs together (unless you could prom photos, and yes, we have been together that long!), so we were a bit nervous and unsure of what to do, but Conor was incredibly warm with a great sense of humor, and helped us to laugh, loosen up, and feel like ourselves. We received our photo proofs for review very soon after our mini session and loved the way they turned out, so much so that choosing just a few was a challenge, but we selected the ones we wanted and got our Save the Dates out.
We loved our chemistry with Conor and the style of the photographs so much that we decided we wanted to keep the same vibe throughout the photos of or wedding journey and asked if he and Brittany would be available to join us for our wedding day on July 28, 2018 at Ranch Bernardo Inn in San Diego, CA. To our great joy and relief, they were available on our date, and we began discussing vision, budget, and videographer recommendations. Conor and Brittany were so easy to work with in developing a shot list that met the level of detail we wanted for our very intimate wedding consisting of thirteen people (including me and my husband) while staying within our budget.
Before our big day, we scheduled one more mini session with Conor at the beach for photos to display at our reception, and as usual, Conor did not disappoint and captured beautiful photos that (other than our wedding day) are some of our most favorite that we have ever taken. They also referred us to a few videographers, and after reviewing portfolios and prices, we chose John Natividad because of his simple and intimate style that we thought fit well with what we imagined our wedding day to be.
On the big day, Conor, Brittany, and John were incredibly professional, positive, energetic, and creative in capturing each of the special moments. Having a husband and wife photography duo was amazing, because they were able to work together seamlessly, while continuing to complement each other's vision and perspectives when working independently. Not to mention, it made for some great couple to couple humor throughout the day! Conor, Brittany, and John were amazing in ensuring our closest family and friends felt comfortable throughout the entire day from early afternoon to the late evening - especially our six year old niece/goddaughter and two year old nephew/godson.
I could go on and on about our wedding experience with Vienna Rose Photography and John Natividad, but to summarize, we received our wedding photos and video within the expected time frame, and they were truly phenomenal. We spent weeks pouring over them to decide our favorites for the dream edit selections because we had such a difficult time choosing, and we only had to go through one round of edits on our highlight video because it was nearly spot on from the get go. We were so grateful for the timeliness of Conor and Birttany in finalizing our photos and John in finalizing our highlight video since we had a second wedding celebration planned three months later with family overseas with which we were able to share the memories of the day that they were not able to join us for.
Vienna Rose Photography has become a part of our family, as Conor and Brittany have also taken holiday photos for our brother and sister's family, and we will definitely be returning to them to capture future family memories! Thank you, Conor, Brittany, and John! read more
