We hired Nguyet to do both our birth photography (her coming to the hospital during my labor and…read moredelivery) and newborn photos (2 weeks after birth) and let me tell you she did an incredible job with both shoots. Let me first start with our birth photos. I am not the nicest person when I'm uncomfortable and I was worried that I would offend her or something awful would come out of my mouth during labor. She was so gosh darn nice about everything and so considerate, I honestly didn't realize she was there most of the time. She was really a stealthy shooter because some of the shots I had no idea when or how she took them. Nguyet always asked the nurses or doctors if it was okay to take photos before starting. I wound up having a c-section, but I was pretty much drugged up where I really forgot everything that happened. Then a few days or maybe a week later, nguyet sends us our pics, and I was floored. It was like I experienced all of the beautiful parts of labor and birth again but without all of the pain!! Her documentation was beautiful, as awful as I felt, and she really captured the hard, raw emotions going on in the birthing room. Also while going through the pictures, my husband was able to recall many of his emotions step by step, which was nice to hear and bond. On to our newborn photos, she documented them in our own home. She was delicate, and sure about handling our first born (being an awesome mom herself!). She even brought a cute outfit for him and had a few ideas that she wanted to capture!! They turned out beautiful again and I owe much to her patience and kindness during this whole process.

The parking lot is consistently busy, so finding a spot can be a hit or miss. Ambiance/Environment: The studio is located inside the AR Gallery. Once you enter the AR Gallery, you'll see the studio on your right. They have an extremely small space with two rooms. One room features white walls, and the other room features colored backgrounds. There's many props from headbands and hats to chairs and stools and more! Some props can use a cleaning, but you can't really see it in the photos. Service: I decided to do a walk-in, so I didn't book an appointment or prepay online. They only take walk-ins starting at 11:30. They're not busy on weekdays but busier during the weekends. I completely forgot his name, but the worker that checked me in was nice, efficient, and knowledgable about the offerings. They provide a large screen with gridlines, lighting, and a small remote. They'll give you a timer, so you'll know exactly how much time you have left during your session. Studio Session & Photos: I chose the 5 minute session with the colored background. You'd choose two colors out of five options. Since I chose the colored walls, let the worker know when you're ready to switch colors. They'll pause the timer, switch the background, and continue the timer. The small remote is easy to hide in the photos. The lighting is perfect, and the photos came out amazing! I worked in production for a long time and had no shortage of potential wedding photographers, but the decision to go with OC Event Photos was a super easy one. He and his crew were on time (early, actually!) and he took calls with me before the wedding to ensure things were lined up properly. At the wedding, he was both fun to hang out with and also a brilliant photographer. Then, after the wedding, he turned around the photos quickly and they looked AMAZING. He is a great editor also (v important). Listen. Your wedding will go by in a flaaaash.
