He offered me to come to my office but since I was busy I asked him for another option. He rented a professional studio in Irvine and we setup a time to meet there. He was on time and well equipped. He took 150 shots from me and more than half of them were amazingly good (I am the worst photogenic person). Then he sent a website link where I could see all the photos and I chose few of them. Wallis Photo was at first for me a "step off the ledge and see what happens" affair. I went on yelp to distinguish who, what, when, why , where was the best photographers for my film/tv headshots. After breezing through quite a few photo artists in the OC region and LA I decided to give Wallis Photo a "Green light". I sent him a quick blurb about a quote for a session in the next week or two, and he gave me a quick but short (to the point) answer. After deciding on 2 "Looks" plus re-touching/proofs of all my session we agreed on 200$ USD for the 2.5 hour session. I asked if I could get a few looks at his previous work for headshots for film/tv and he showed me a few from recent clients. Of course he doesn't have an album on his website for tv/film headshots but I liked his work for natural lighting techniques and quality. Since he was trained professionally at Brooks Institute of Photography and specialized in natural techniques I went with this venue. I wasn't disappointed as he (Jason) was waiting for me on the shoot site at his simplistic venue in Orange County. His studio gets the job done and he has all the tools necessary to do his good work on site (or elsewhere) . We spent a couple hours doing several looks and different backgrounds. We toyed casually with different natural lights and clothing combinations until we "got the right stuff". His attitude was professional and casual and it makes you want to work with the lens for the best "looks". He even gave me a good reference for a coach through a similar client in the past! After a day or so he sent me "his best" photos of my session with him and I picked the ones I preferred for retouching. I sent them to Jason and he was able to get them touched up quickly and to a higher degree of polishing than before (even on Low-res type photos). He sent me the high-res photos retouched and I feel great having them now! In summary I would for sure go with Wallis Photo if you value a good price, good work, and good product. read more

Let me start by saying I cannot believe what a difference it makes for your business to have a professional picture taken. I teach management courses and needed a good corporate style photo for my Bio. I met Jason at his studio and he spent a few minutes to get to know me and understand what I was looking for. He lost photos of my cake cutting, bouquet toss, garter toss etc. Wasted time on our pedi cab by making us stop by the hotel so he could pickup another battery. Our second photographer ended up being his wife, not a professional photographer, and who seemed in a bad mood. One of my guests informed me that they were fighting in the hallway at our wedding.
