This review is way overdue considering we first started working with Sarah back in 2017! Sarah is very special and is literally amazing at what she does. Getting Sarah to do our engagement and wedding photos is by far, one of the best decisions my now-husband and I have made for our wedding! Going in, my then-fiance and I knew we definitely wanted to stay away from wedding photos that felt too posed/stiff/staged. After stumbling through a few meet and greets with various wedding photographers in the OC area, we learned about Sarah through my sister, as she was the lead photographer for her wedding. My sister mentioned that Sarah had since left her previous photography company to start her own business. Shortly thereafter, we met with Sarah and were convinced she was a great match after the initial meeting. Her portfolio speaks for itself and it is clear that she is a talented photographer. But what sold us on her was that she was personable, patient, and a very well thought out photographer. Seeing as your wedding photos are one of the most important aspects of the overall wedding process, we were a bit overwhelmed as we aren't the most comfortable couple in front of the camera, and we really could not articulate a clear vision. This is where we heavily relied on Sarah's guidance and expertise. She encouraged us to start thinking about what we wanted our photos to look like, and had us create a vision board on Pinterest as a means to communicate our vision. Initially this just felt like work, and I wasn't as excited about putting this together. However, as we started to build this out, it really felt like we got the ball rolling, and eventually we had a finished board we were able to share with Sarah. Sarah's assistants were awesome and maintained a balanced approach to their work; more specifically they kept the mood light, and fun, but made sure they were capturing everything that needed to be captured A couple of key things we definitely appreciated was that through the commotion and constant movement of people, Sarah was able to respectfully maneuver and adjust our friends and family to get the shots she wanted. Also, our wedding was multi-cultural (my wife is Vietnamese and I am Indian), and we featured both part cultures throughout the wedding. We used Sarah for family photos and they turned out great! She produces high quality photos and my family and I loved each one of them! Her turnaround times were faster than she said they would be which I loved! She was also great during the photo session and guided us on poses that would make us look great in our photos while also able to accommodate my mom with an injured knee and my 17 month old (who started to get fussy towards the end, but you would never even know that based on the photos).
