I booked Sonja for a surprise engagement shoot, and WOW! I couldn't have asked for a better experience! From start to finish, she was so easy to work with and genuinely excited to help me pull off the surprise. She helped me plan the perfect spot, and stayed completely transparent with our plans until the big moment. When I popped the question, She captured every single emotion, the shock, the tears, the laughter. All without my partner having any idea she was even there! All of our photos felt so natural and full of joy. If you're thinking about hiring someone for a proposal or engagement shoot, stop searching and just go with Sonja. She made one of the most important moments of our lives truly unforgettable. read more

We found Sonja on Yelp and got a chance to speak with her on the phone. I could tell she was our person from our first conversation! My daughter didn't even want to have senior photos taken because of the hassle, but they not only turned out beautiful, she also had a GREAT time with Sonja and made it a fun senior memory for us instead of the chore my daughter had dreaded. We love our photos - Sonja both made sure she listened to what my daughter wanted AND made creative and fun suggestions. I've already booked Sonja for our extended family photo shoot in September! read more

Sonja is incredible. She is fun and so easy to work with. She is clear with direction and wants to make sure that you feel comfortable. She made my senior laugh and wanted to make sure she was capturing his true self. I can't say enough about how much I love working with Sonja. My kids do to. As we drove away from our session my senior said "I had no idea it would be that much fun, I can't wait to get these back". So from a 17 yr old boy that's pretty high praise!! read more

I loved her ideas and she let me really make it my own as well. She truly loves what she does. It was so hard to pick just 30 photos, but even that is a lot. We are all very happy with the family photographs from our session with Sonja. It was great to work with someone creative who is also so professional. She communicates effectively and worked very well with our group of nine adults. She had plenty of ideas that made great use of the location and was open as well to our suggestions. She worked quickly to deliver a generous number of proofs and we felt that the final photos were excellent. In short, Sonja delivered great value for a fair price. read more

Sonja is the best at capturing special moments! I was looking for a photographer for my upcoming graduation and found Sonja here on Yelp. After looking at her portfolio and reading other reviews, I booked my shoot with her. I am not a natural in front of a camera, and Sonja was so helpful in providing direction, suggesting different poses, and making me look good. She is extremely gracious and easy to work with. Sonja did our family portraits in October, and I could not recommend her enough! Setting up the session was easy and quick. She recommended outfits for the family and sent reminders with the location prior to the day of the shoot. She made us feel instantly relaxed and ensured each shot was perfect. She was able to get our baby's attention, make our old son laugh and captured great moments of all of us! She sent all of the pre-edited shots, and we were able to pick out favorites. Her final edits came back quickly and exceeded our expectations. I would recommend her to anyone looking to get beautiful and professional photos taken. read more

Sonja Sonja is simply THEE best! She's an incredible photographer but it takes more than skills with the camera & photoshop to excel with shooting teen girls...and Sonja has it all. She totally gets teens and knows how to get them to put down their usual armor and show their true selves. I wish I had been recording my daughter when she looked at the proofs. She was so unbelievably happy, and that confidence in herself is what she needs for the next chapter of her life. Sonja has done family pictures for us as well and hit it out of the park then too. She's a local mom who could charge way more but she's all about affordable value. Sonja is super communicative and responsive as well - made every step of the process so simple! Highly recommend SONJA for anyone looking for a SoCal photographer! read more

If you are looking for a professional photographer in the IE look NO FURTHER!!! Sonja is amazing!! Hands down, no contest!!! She shot my baby shower at the end of September and she is worth every single penny!!!!! Let me tell you about my experience! 1. Sonja is so sweet and communicative! It was like texting with a long time friend from the very beginning. 2. She was upfront and transparent with her pricing which was MORE than FAIR!!! She never pressured me and even offered a great bundle deal! One other thing that I appreciated about her was her honesty. She told me straight up what I didn't need photos of which I truly appreciated! (I didn't need her to take pictures of people eating lol) 3. She was organized and straight forward! I loved her take charge attitude and she was very helpful with having me stay organized with my shot list. 4. She arrived to my event early and was ready to work!!! 5. She constantly checked in with me to ensure I got all of the pictures I wanted. Honestly I can't say enough good things about Sonja! She handled all 90 of my guests with such respect and care! Book her, right now! It's the best decision you will ever do as far as choosing a photographer . Sonya, was absolutely amazing. I hired her to take pictures for my daughter's pre- Quincenera shoot and she rocked it. She came in prepared with a changing tent, umbrellas for unexpected rain and the energy of a whole cheerleader squad. Not only did she take breath taking pictures, she made my daughter feel so special. Her enthusiasm made the whole experience extra magical and her fierce heart protected us from bystanders. I've known of Sonya for ten years, but never hired her till recently. If you are looking for a photographer who is thoughtful, organized, kind and enthusiastic then you found your person.
