Encor previously shot engagement & wedding photo's for my brother-in-law's and the pictures came out absolutely wonderful, so we decided to also go with them for our engagement and wedding photography needs. They made the engagement shoot extremely easy, providing a list of recommended shooting locations and even scoped out the perfect area for us based on our request. On our wedding day we were worried as heavy rains were forecasted. The team did a great job of scouting out the area and giving us plan B's and plan C's in case we needed alt shooting locations. The photography was amazing and did a great job of helping us keep our energy up while keeping everything relaxed. The photographers were so creative with different lighting effects and camera angles despite not being familiar with the new wedding venue we chose. We feel they certainly got the best photos possible and were great with making accommodations for requests during the ceremony and reception. We received a few sneak peeks of our photos and are absolutely blown away so far! This might be a long review, but bare with me. First and foremost I want to thank Kelly and her team for being such an amazing team on our wedding day! I loved how organized they were with every step of the way and I loved that she gave me so many suggestions on our very first meeting. Secondly, I am very picky with the work that I see from photographers so when I found Encor I booked an appt with them and wanted to see more of their work and how they function as a team. You really do get what you pay for because their work do not disappoint and their service as well! I'm very big on nice, beautiful and forever pictures. I found them on IG and had a first meeting with Kelly, she knew where our venue was and were able to give us so many ideas on how we can make picture perfect photos. It's not everyday where you get married so we didn't know there had to be a schedule in mind and how the day should go. After our initial meeting we went over everything in detailed. I booked the photography team and the photo booth team. She gave a little discount if we pay her in cash! We also didn't have a wedding coordinator for the whole day. Only day coordinator for our ceremony venue. Kelly was so great at managing our guests and the wedding party. I thought that only the photographers will be with us on the day of but Kelly actually came and suggest us to do poses which was great because we don't know what looks good and what doesn't. After we finished with ceremony we went back to the hotel to take mock up pictures. They split two photographers, one for bride and one for groom. I let her know what ideas I would like in photos and her and her team delivered. Pictures came out later, it took them 6 weeks to give us the full gallery and it didn't disappoint us! It's true, you really cannot rush perfections. It was worth the wait, I'd recommend her and her team for anyone! Encor first came on my radar when I started seeing their name a lot in my social circles, on my social media. If you are looking for a photographer and or cinematography, Encor is your team. I have been following them for awhile and when I got engaged, I already knew I wanted them to be part of the wedding. This review has been long overdue but we are absolutely blown away by the service, photos, and videos that Encor has provided us. Let's begin with our engagement photos. We wanted to take our engagement photos in Fall with all the beautiful orange and yellow leaves. Kelly knew exactly what we wanted and helped us find the perfect location. If you're looking for those beautiful fall leaves, LA Arboretum right before Thanksgiving is your destination! We met the Encor team and they guided us through everything. Everyone was so accommodating and Encor made the pictures look absolutely beautiful. We got all our engagement photos about a month later and were blown away. Now comes the fun part, our wedding day. Kelly actually helped us plan out the events of our day and the timing of everything. If we wanted anything included, we just let her know and she was able to fit it into the team's schedule. We even let Kelly know specific shots we wanted and they made sure to get those for us. We asked Encor to be with us for a full 13 hours. They covered photo and video for the entire day, starting with our tea ceremony, to the wedding ceremony, photos of us getting ready, and our entire reception. Our wedding was on a Saturday and we received sneak peeks 2 days later on Monday and all our photos a month later. They got pictures of everything, and I really mean everything. There were shots that I couldn't have even imagined and they got it all. At the 6 month mark, Encor sent us our highlight video. We were so excited and after watching it, we felt like we had just relived our perfect day. The way the team clipped 13 hours of audio and video together was so perfect. There was plenty of laughter and tears of happiness all in 5 minutes. If you are thinking about having Encor include a highlight, you should definitely do it! They are perfect at what they do. The Encor team has always repped "shoot like ninjas". They truly do shoot like ninjas. They are quick to get everything and are able to get every angle. I see the videos and photos they do on Instagram and here and I was actually so impressed so I thought they were worth the hefty price and booked them. The videographers who showed up worked hard and seemed to capture great footage. But they did leave early in the night and my coordinator had to go after them to come back and film when I had my Vietnamese Ao Dai. Now the final product. If you don't buy the most expensive package or are their friend, they won't spend too much time on your video edit. My video product came out very eh. Not as dramatic as the other videos they boast on their Instagram (I can see why). They also messed up the song we picked and had to fix it. The shots included in the video are awkward. I had a lot of back and forth with Kelly regarding fixed needed in the video. To be honest I was so disappointed when I initially got the video in the link. They got so many hours of footage and this was the editing they did? Probably not worth the money I spent and I'm sadly disappointed.. I thought Encor would do better, but guess not. I was waiting for my highlight video and raw footage to come in before I made a review. July is a wedding month and they were very busy. It did take a long time to get our video but it was worth the wait. The final highlight video was amazing. At first I didn't want to spend too much on videography but I knew I would regret later on if I didn't go with best. Consultation was great. Kelly was very attentive and answered all of our questions. I love their work; they are professionals and perfectionist plus they put me at ease. It was super fun to joke with them. They got along with my photographer and they worked very well with each other. I can hear them discussing light and angles, I don't know. I just let them boss me around. The wedding day was a blur. I didn't think I wanted to pay extra for the teaser but I changed my mind after the wedding. Worth it. They captured a lot of moments that I missed, wasn't there to experience, or completely forgot. It was a great memory for me and my family to relive that magical day. My family cannot stop talking about how professional they were because they had all these fancy equipment and were running everywhere. One of them actually fell and cut their head (like it was bleeding), he just got bandaged up and went back to work. Whaaaa???? I mean, damn! They were really committed to their craft. From my first meet with Kelly, she was super sweet and friendly- she answered all my questions and gave me great advice and recommendations for our wedding. If you are going to have a wedding, seriously don't cheap out on photos! The least thing you want is 2 months later finding your entire wedding photo collection was terrible! This was not my case at all! I did some major extensive research with price and quality of the work of other photographers and even though Encor was at the top of my price list for photos, I couldnt find myself to go with anyone else. At that moment I couldn't sacrifice budget over the quality I saw Encor delivered with there other clients. Kelly from Encor communicated with me every step of the way via email and made sure our big day was going to be captured beautifully. We were able to schedule our first sit down while we were town and Kelly was so pleasant, professional, and I knew we had found the people to capture our wedding. They are an Asian operating studio and the photos definitely didnt come out looking like a typical 1 hour photo session. Our wedding was in HB and the photographers were on time and got straight to work. They dont waste time! Kelly even stop by in the beginning to help with directing some of the photo session. I am one of those people who doesnt have time and patience to take pictures and I always end up looking terrible. I am not the most photogenic person at all. But my oh my! I dont know how they did it, but my husband and I look sooo fantastic! We straight out look like we could be in a bridal magazine! LOL It was such a long day so I felt like I was half-assing the whole photo thing. Everything just turn out perfect!! I just knew from getting the sneak peeks after a week from the wedding I just knew our pictures would be amazing!!! My mother-in-law so anxious to see them she would ask me every week if they were ready. After 2 months, the wait was over! It was so worth it. Kelly was able to import over 1,000 photos online and mail a flash drive with all the photos to us. Cant tell you of all the raves we got for our photos to our family and friends. I was so quick to share it with everyone because they truly came out amazing and beautiful. I know a lot of people are hesitate to share photos cause they turn out bad, not me! Encor did a fantastic job covering our wedding in July 2017! Although we did consider a few other videographers, in our heart we knew we wanted Encor. They definitely did not disappoint. Jerry and the team came 2 hours early to set up and get familiarized with our venue since they never shot there before. Encor has the best equipment and lighting! They were one of the top vendors that we knew we really wanted so we booked them very early on! Tip: Book them early because they will be booked quickly. We met with Kelly who walked us through the process and helped provided us a quick timeline of our wedding day. We kept in contact and made a few changes throughout the process. First off, I would like to say thank you to Tony, Kelly, and their outstanding team for their services. I found Encor Studio through Yelp and friends. Encor studio was the ONLY vendor that we looked at for cinemaphotography, and we book them without bothering to look at other vendors. The first time we met Tony, we both knew he is the one that we want to work with. What we like about Tony is his personality. He is very humble, easy going, and very helpful. He guided us through our wedding schedule, give suggestions, and tips in which we greatly appreciated. We also booked the drone, MUST HAVE!!! The drone was personally operated by Tony and we could not have asked for more. He took his time to film us before our big day with the drone at the beach. On the day of the wedding, Tony's team was on time to very event (filming at the hotel, tea ceremony, church ceremony, and reception) and ready to go. Tony's team was very professional and nice. My wedding was a little over 4 months ago. I can't say enough good things about encor studio. They are very professional and easy to work with. I was very skeptical to book them as they had never done a Persian wedding but Kelly assured us that they will do their research to capture our special ceremony in the best way possible. We booked them for both photography and videography and could not be happier with our decision. They gave us a canvas photo from our engagement session that looks like a piece of art. We have hung it in our house and everyone thinks it's a painting. Our wedding pictures turned out amazing and the highlight video is so beautiful and romantic. I love my Bohemian style engagement photos!!! Kelly was so nice to help me pick my bouquet, dress, and even shoes! (Indecisive bride here. Sorry Kelly. :p) They scouted Joshua Tree National Park so on the shooting day we just went and shot at all the perfect spots. I'm very impressed with their attention to details. They tried to get as many nice shots as possible, till the last bit of sunlight. With amazing customer services and the quality of end products, I think it's well worth the money. We're writing this review after our engagement shoot which happened less than 24 hours ago but we wanted to make it a point how much we appreciate them. They were extremely professional, on time (this is a major plus in my book) and made us feel comfortable during the shoot! We also had a bit of car trouble (totally our fault) and they did everything to help us try to get our car out before it got too dark. We weren't successful but they stayed until they knew a tow truck was on their way. We got engagement photos and car assistance service from them?! Unheard of. I knew choosing them was the best decision. I'm so excited to see our engagement photos and for our wedding day! read more
