We cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience with Zean! From our engagement shoot to the wedding day, he was more than just a photographer--he truly felt like a part of our journey and a genuine friend. He made us feel incredibly comfortable in front of the camera, which is no small feat! His calming presence, professionalism, and ability to read the moment helped us relax and just enjoy ourselves, and that came through in every single photo. The final product was beyond anything we could have imagined. Every image captured not just the events, but the emotions and essence of the day....moments we will treasure for a lifetime. If you're looking for someone who will make you feel seen, cared for, and deliver stunning work while feeling like an extension of your inner circle, Zean is it. Zean was absolutely amazing! He shot our proposal and engagement photos in Laguna Beach, and we honestly couldn't have asked for a better photographer. He was super efficient, had the best energy, and made us feel so comfortable the entire time. He guided us through poses, and also made sure to capture the candid, in-between moments that we'll now have forever. What we really appreciated was how he helped coordinate our guests for photos and also take us to a more private spot for just the two of us. It made the whole experience feel extra special and personal. During the proposal, he was so hidden I didn't even notice him until later--total pro! The photos turned out beautifully, and we're so happy we'll have these memories to look back on for the rest of our lives. We highly recommend Zean if you're looking for someone who's experienced, talented, and just overall great to work with. read more

Zean is amazing! I can't say enough great things about his work style and communication skills; Zean was communicative and thoughtful from the point of inquiry all the way through delivering the final pictures. He was responsive, showed up early, extremely efficient, and thoughtful in organizing different photos with family and without. There is a lot of trust put into a photographer to capture live moments without a chance to redo anything, and I would absolutely recommend Zean to anyone I cared about looking for a professional. He is also just a very kind soul and so easy to get along with. Can't thank you enough Zean! read more

We couldn't be happier with our experience working with Zean. He captured the most beautiful, timeless moments from our wedding with such skill and sensitivity. He just seemed to know instinctively how to be in the right place at the right time - every shot feels effortless and perfectly timed. He made everyone feel so comfortable and natural in front of the camera, which really comes through in the photos. What impressed us most was his ability to read the energy of the day - knowing when to quietly capture candid moments and when to step in for something more composed. The balance was flawless. The photos not only matched our vision, they completely exceeded our expectations. We're so glad we brought this California talent to our English countryside wedding - it couldn't have been more perfect. His eye for detail and calm energy were appreciated by everyone. Every image feels full of warmth, emotion, and light. We'll treasure these photographs forever. If you're looking for someone who combines true artistry with intuition and professionalism, I can't recommend Zean enough. read more

Ummmmm Zean is not a photographer he is an artist and visionary, he is an expert, and a super kind friend. Zean has photographed me for graduation pictures and recently on our wedding day. I am so fortunate to have had him be there for me during my most important days *crying*. Seriously, Zean is not only talented, he is also flexible, easy to work with, and an amazing listener! He also took control of photography during our wedding day like a champ. He delivered our sneak peaks in just 3 days. Zean was amazing! My husband and I have booked a variety of photographers through the years for our wedding, anniversary, and holiday cards, and he has hands down been our favorite! We booked him due to seeing his amazing talent photographing my sisters wedding. He did our maternity photoshoot and did not disappoint! He made us very comfortable, had suggestions for poses but wasn't bossy, read our vibe and artistic vision perfectly, and picked the perfect locations all within the same area. Our photos looked natural and he captured some great candids. He also gave us a sneak peak and our entire gallery very promptly and quickly. We loved every single photo! It's going to be challenging picking our favorites. Zean is professional, kind, and very thoughtful. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED! HE IS A TRUE ARTIST AND CAPTURES THE LOVE AND EMOTION IN EVERY PHOTO. read more

Zean is AMAZING! I was set to have a Civil Ceremony with my (then) fiancé and was planning to just have the ceremony, take a quick iPhone pic, and be on my married way. After much convincing, we decided to book a professional photographer and we are sooo glad we booked Zean. He went above and beyond from scoping the area, to guiding us on poses while juggling the family members. While we were walking through the courthouse, he spotted a great little area to shoot and it captured such a special moment. We even got some pictures with our dogs! I'm in love with the final photos! I will be reaching out again - Thanks again Zean!! :) read more

Zean is the best photographer I know! He photographed my family for our holiday photo last year, and even my mom and grandma who usually refuse to be in photos felt comfortable around him and the photos turned out amazing! This year, we made sure to book him ahead of time and definitely will continue to do so each year. Looking forward to this years shoot in a couple months!!! More recently, Zean took photos of me and my partner. We have never gotten photos taken of us, so we were excited but unsure of how to pose etc. We are so thankful that Zean took the time to make us feel comfortable and told us his game plan. He gently and patiently explained which way to turn our bodies, where to look, and what our expression should be. The photos came out amazing!!!!! We are so pleased and will definitely book him for future shoots together. read more

We met Zean at one of our mutual friend's baby shower, and we instantly fell in love with how natural Zean connected with the guest to capture those perfect spontaneous moments during the shower. My boyfriend (at the time) and I turned to each other and said, "We have to book this guy for when we get engaged!" A few years later, we got engaged and of course my fiancé and I wanted to do an engagement photoshoot. We immediately thought of Zean, and there was no doubt we wanted to book Zean to do our engagement photos. Problem was, that we didn't have a location in mind. I shared my vision aka my Pinterest idea with Zean and he worked with me in finding a location. I told him I was looking for an open field location, with rolling hills and greenery. But since I was going to be wearing 5 inch heels during our shoot, I wasn't down to hike to a location. Zean went out of his way and scouted a location for us in Orange County, and it was exactly what I was looking for. Open field with rolling hills and greenery, all within a 10 minute mini hike from our car to the location. The mini hike was not bad at all. The location was breathtaking, it made us feel like we were in the shire from Lord of The Rings. It was my fiancé and I first time doing a photoshoot, and Zean made us feel very comfortable with our poses without being completely cheesy. It was very windy at our location but Zean made it work in our favor, by get our good angles. When we received our photos my heart fluttered. We absolutely love how all of engagement photos turned out!! Zean's vision is beyond amazing!! He's very professional and his enthusiasm for what he does is just incredible. We definitely will be booking Zean for our wedding, no questions asked!!! Thank you again Zean!! You're absolutely the best!! We can't wait to work with you again!! read more

I honestly don't even know where to begin. Zean took the time sit down with me when I first was considering him to be our wedding photographer. Let me tell you, all it takes is a few moments to realize that Zean is your guy. Zean added such a great energy to an already amazing day. Amidst all the hecticness of the wedding he made the photo opts feel so natural and I couldn't wait to see what he had captured based on his enthusiasm with each shot. When we received our photos, I can honestly say my jaw dropped and my heart skipped a beat. I knew I loved our wedding, but Zean captured every ounce of magic. read more

Zean is amazing and will give you the most stunningly beautiful photos! My niece and nephew hired Zean for my daughters 1st birthday party after showing me photos of a baby shower he had just done and I was sold. Having Zean take our maternity photos was the best decision ever! I am very particular on the kind of modern yet natural feel for photography with our family photos and yet he has captured it beautifully for our maternity shoot. He was also very patient with making sure our family was comfortable throughout the shoot, having a 3 y.o toddler and me waddling through rocks and the beach being preggo and all. He made us feel really relaxed, listened to our input, and still provided the direction we needed to have these incredible photos! Will definitely recommend him to everyone i know for photos, and will keep him in mind next time we need another shoot! Pros: Quick response. Quick turnaround. Super friendly and accommodating. Will listen to feedback. Never makes u feel rushed. Isn't annoyed with kids. read more

What an incredible journey it has been with Zean. Everything from the initial consultation to the execution and delivery of our memories, nothing fell short from what Zean advised he could deliver. Because he served all that and more. Consultation - We were able to work with Zean in tailoring a package that best fit us as we had a destination micro wedding - albeit wedding in Las Vegas but required travel no less. The conversation went with such ease and we were able to dig deep into the mood we were looking for, strong and weak points, food we like to eat and more. Execution - I can say without a doubt that Zean is amazing at what he does. I am typically not one for photos unlike my husband and always unintentionally ruin photos. We were able to find our groove pretty quickly after a few pointers during our engagement shoot which I was able to take with me into our wedding. Beyond that, he was able to travel and shoot on his own while giving ample amount of time to the schedule, work with tricky lighting inside The NoMad, pose 15+ people for a Vanity Fair Oscar Party Mark Seliger-esque shoot, and finding details that we missed. He did all that and helped people feel comfortable enough to be in front of his lens. Our families loved Zean and basically wanted to adopt him into the family. Delivery - Can't say how thankful I am that Zean can deliver our memories as promised. The pictures are one thing but the lasting memory we have with Zean on our journey is the truly something. There is a joie de vivre about Zean that translates into our pictures. He was more than just a wedding photographer, he was more like a really good friend that just happened to capture you at the right moment and depict the exact emotion felt. Zean, can't thank you enough. Don't be surprised if you continuously get family dinner invitations. read more

AMAZING TALENT!!! My fiancé and I had our engagement photos done with Zean and will have our wedding, family photos, and everything done with him from now on!! First off, I had such a weird request for our the backdrop/scenery. I wanted the beach in the background....but no sand. He understood exactly what I was imagining and topped it!! My fiancé and I are sooo awkward with the camera but Zean guided the shoot so well and was able to make us more comfortable. When we got our pictures back, we were shocked at how natural we looked!! He was able to capture those moments that you can't force. I highly highly recommend him for any special occasion!! He's the best!! read more

Zean is an amazing photographer! My husband and I are from Humboldt and had to have him photograph our NorCal wedding. From meeting him during consultations, he is always was positive and very professional. And meeting in person, we had instantaneous good rapport that we knew we were in good hands. The day before our wedding, he took the time to tour the venue with the owner in order to ensure the best locations and angles for photos. I was also impressed with him coordinating a great timeline for photos. We were able to have time for our portraits and photos and still be able to enjoy the day with the guests. Zean had gone above and beyond for us that day and his photos had exceeded our expectations. My husband and I look back and are just impressed with his work. He captured our love and the beauty of that day. I am forever grateful for his work and I would love to work with him again in the future! read more

We had the pleasure of working w Zean during our wedding a little over 2 years ago. He was one of the awesome videographers that was with us that day. When I found out he was also doing photo I knew I had to have him shoot our family's photos. My husbands family hadn't had an updated family shoot in over 10 years so we set this up as our parents Christmas gift. We were able to figure out a date we were available and he was very accommodating to our schedule. He chose the trails at Hiltscher Park in Fullerton and we loved the setting! We had to do our photo shoot early in the day but even though lightning is usually harsh around that time (Zean taught me that lol) all of our photos Came out amazing! I won't lie having my picture taken professionally makes me slightly uncomfortable but Zean made it easy. He's so personable and it really felt like we were just hanging out. We got a couple preview shots that same night and i already knew they would come out great. He emailed us our gallery really quickly and we love all the photos! If you are in search for a photographer for any occasion I highly recommend Zean. He's awesome, I promise you will not be disappointed! Thank you again!! read more

If you want truly magical photos that you can fondly look back on for years to come, Zean is THE person to work with. We were able to snag him to do family/maternity photos, and I never imagined they would turn out to be so beautiful. My husband and I had no clue which location to choose in Orange County, so he suggested the Huntington Central Library and Park. Let me tell you... he is the MASTER of lighting and perspective. He can make an underwhelming grove of trees and a suspect-looking swamp look like you're in Narnia. We had our 2-year old son (read: monster-in-training) in tow. He is not the easiest subject to shoot, but Zean was able to beautifully capture the essence of his personality. He orchestrated so many gorgeous shots with three very reluctant models. In summary, here are some bullet points to highlight why you should hire him: -quick response time via email, text, phone -INCREDIBLY reasonable pricing, especially for the quality you receive -flexible with our schedules -great with location scouting -digital files are very easy to access -SUPER BONUS: Zean is the warmest, kindest human being We look forward to working with him again when our next little one arrives. I first met Zean years before I got married. When it came time to find a videographer who was experienced with weddings, I immediately thought of Zean and his team. He captured the most memorable day of my life in the most beautiful way and was a true pleasure to work with. My sister recently got married and I thought of Zean to photograph her tea ceremony. The lighting was rough where we held the ceremony and Zean made magic happen with his photos! Not only that, he was so great at wrangling the crowd and was so sweet to the kids when trying to get them to pose. He was professional from start to finish and even showed up early to assess the location. He delivered the photos so quickly! We were so happy Zean was able to be part of both my special day and my sister's. I'm pregnant now and I look forward to working with Zean again for my maternity shoot! You won't regret hiring him. Just like what 5 star means, it's as good as it gets. My wife and I recently moved to Michigan and wanted to get married back home surrounded by our family and close friends. Zean and I worked together for more than 1 year. During that time, he would always check in and see if he could be of any help with planning. I seriously could not have asked for a better photographer. My wife, wedding party, and guests could not stop raving about how wonderful Zean was. He was very engaged with my guests and did well with last minute changes. Guests would come up to me and tell me how wonderful my photographer is. I've only seen a few pictures he took, but so far they are amazing. I cannot wait to see the rest. I'd recommend him without hesitation. This is as good as it gets! The pandemic gave the bride and groom no choice...they had to cancel a wedding they had planned for 2 years. When they found out they could get a marriage license in time for their late May date, they decided to go forth and celebrate the day with a Zoom audience and make their day as special as possible. You can see by some of the photographs chosen how special the day was. Zean had an extraordinary task - make this day special and capture this day which was to substitute for the original plan at a hotel with a wedding party and guests. These photographs capture an extraordinary experience and celebration! The day does celebrate a WEDDING EVENT captured by a photographer who definitely made the bride and groom feel special and comfortable. He was able to show in each photograph a beaming happy couple in every shot he took. I can't imagine any one but Zean (because of his personality) doing such a sensational job with this tiny gathering of family: only 6 guests, two babies, and 2 dogs within the confined space of a small family backyard to include a Zoom audience of family and friends in attendance! Thank you so much for a wonderful job and a beautiful package of photos!!!!! read more

Zean is an absolutely amazing photographer and person to work with! He photographed our wedding in Northern California, and I can't say enough about his great qualities, both personal and professional. Leading up to the wedding, Zean was super enthusiastic about making our vision perfect, and he executed exactly what we talked about. He has a great eye for scenery and you can tell he really enjoys his work and the people he serves. We had a super quick turn around for a ton of our pictures, and Zean was always very responsive to texts/messages/emails. My husband and I are definitely not picture people, but he made us feel absolutely gorgeous and really captured who we are as a couple. I was worried about photography being distracting during the wedding and ceremony, but I hardly even noticed he was there! And from the pictures he took it was like he was in a million places at once! Every one else in our bridal party loved him too and appreciated his guidance with each picture. Zean photographed my family's holiday shoot. Due to COVID-19 I never had any newborn photos of my baby so it was so important to capture all the precious moments as much as possible and Zean did just that. From the first email, I could tell how great this guy is and how he made sure to get to know me and what I wanted out of the shoot. The day of the shoot, not going to lie I was a bit nervous but the moment we met he made us feel so comfortable. He walked me through some poses that complimented the photos. One thing I really loved about our photo session was that he would pause and show us how the photos are coming out. I had some visions I wanted to be captured and he captured all of them with grace and professionalism. We had such a great time, it didn't feel like we were taking photos. Couple of days after the shoot, he sent me a couple of sneak peaks that brought a huge smile to my face. When we finally got the full album I was in awe and tears and how beautiful Zean captured my family and all the smiles. Zean took engagement photos for my husband and me and he exceeded any and all expectations! He is not only an incredible professional, but makes an occasion that may feel awkward and stiff anything but that! Zean made the experience comfortable, fun, and probably one of our favorite days leading up to the wedding. He wasn't afraid to dance with us and encourage us to be our genuine selves, which he captured perfectly with his photos. Zean also returned our album to us quickly and even showed us a few sneak peeks because he knew how anxious we were to see it all! And a bonus--Zean helped me with verbiage and insider lingo in order to facilitate a lighting disaster we experienced a few days before the wedding...without his help I'm pretty sure our lighting vendor would have thought I was a complete dummy! Thank you, Zean, you beautiful genius! read more

Zean is more than a photographer, he is a true artist. His photographs are filled with joy, creativity and heart because they are a reflection of him and his subjects. He works hard to ensure that the pictures and videos he takes truly capture the essence of the clients and their special moment. And he does this all with humor and grace which makes the photoshoot all the more enjoyable. We worked with him during COVID-19 to capture an important family moment for our newborn and he was professional, flexible and calm during a chaotic couple of weeks when plans changed for the event. He even quarantined for 2 weeks before our event and wore an N95 Mask to ensure he was safe and healthy before our event. We really appreciate him going above and beyond to prioritize health and safety for himself and our family during these unprecedented times.
