Wow, wow, wow!! I took my son's first birthday photos here and it was one of the best experiences. Booking was so easy. Choosing backgrounds, wardrobe and the actual photoshoot process was a breeze. The studio itself is so warm and inviting and the natural light was just toooo good. I was so worried that my son wouldn't crack a smile but omg they did everything to make it happen. They had bubbles, fans, toys, snacks, etc. I sat there watching my baby belly laugh and almost shed a tear because I couldn't believe I was going to get this moment on camera. We went to oven studios ten years ago at their LA location when our first born son turned one for his Dohl photos. They turned out so cute. When I got pregnant again this year I was searching for the studio and saw that they moved to Buena Park so we headed on over. They are inside the source mall. Their setup is pretty similar to how it was last I visited. We did a family portrait with newborn package. They got our baby all dolled up into three off outfits and I honestly don't know how the unnie did it. She is truly the baby whisperer. The oppa was professional and also just knew what would look good for our fam portrait. When we said we brought jackets as options he asked us why and told us we didn't need it. He was right. He also gave me a Polaroid of one of the pics of my newborn which was a kind touch! After each session he let me take some photos with my phone too, and I thought that was nice. Ofc I just waited for his better version before sending it out to people but I'm glad I have some behind the scenes photos. The photos came out great and just in time for our holiday cards. I can't say enough great things about Oven Studio! They did an amazing job taking my daughter's and family's photos. They were efficient yet took their time to get many amazing shots. They were great at getting my daughter to laugh and smile despite her feeling tired. They had a lot of great options for backgrounds and even outfits! There are many adorable props that they use, and basically, they'll take care of everything- you just have to show up. I was really looking forward to taking my one week old newborn here after hearing how great they were through a family member. I asked if they can incorporate " clean sterilized syringe" in one of her photo because she's our IVF baby. It's obviously done in a lot of studios so I didn't think it would be a big deal to just ask. They responded with " do you really have to do that photo?" That right there just was very unprofessional. I explained that if it was possible I would like to and they never responded back. I'm a very understanding person and they could have easily just say no but instead they had to be very unprofessional and ghosted me. We were recommended Ovenstudio by a friend for professional photos for our baby's first birthday. They have a really booked calendar so if you want a weekend spot book early! The booking process was really easy otherwise. I had to settle on a weekday because the next available weekend was over a month out and I needed these photos for the upcoming birthday sooner. The plus is that there is a 10% discount for weekday shoots. Ovenstudio texted me the packages, sent reminders, and even detailed parking with photos because of course. It made everything a breeze. I ended up arriving a little early. Hailee came down to greet us and even offered to help with our unloading. When she saw the baby was sleeping, she told me to just let the baby sleep and let her know when the baby was awake. This helped. It is a small studio but just absolutely perfect for baby photos. It was filled with cute props and super cute outfits. When you first settle in, you are given a few backdrops to choose from. From there, you can pick out outfits from their collection. There were so many cute outfits and accessories to choose from. This was a relief for me as I had realized the night before that My baby did not have any photo worthy outfits! Hailee helped in making outfit recommendations depending on the background. The photographer and Hailee make a dynamic duo. She goes above and beyond to entertain the baby while the photographer snaps away. They are careful and they know babies! Halfway through the shoot, they even recommended we take a break so the baby can eat. And they were right - my baby wanted to eat and was much more smiley after. They are just so good with kids. The shoot took 2 hours and was lots of fun. I found out at the end of the shoot that they also do event photography but obviously they were beyond booked. Next time I'll be booking way in advance. As promised, we received the digital proofs in 2 days. The end result were hundreds of photos that were just all so pretty and cute. We had 2 printed photos in our package and it was definitely hard to choose 2 amongst all the great photos. Hailee also told us we could request larger sized files for a few photos first if we needed it before they could mail out our CD with originals, which I needed to do for our event. Went in for our son's first birthday photo shoot with a traditional Korean table setting. We had a Package B which included 3 themes (1 of baby with the traditional table, 1 of family photo, 1 of baby with a modern theme). It was a weekday so we qualified for a weekday discount of 10%. The photographer and thee wife who were acting as an aid really knew how to handle babies! We were so worried that the baby would be cranky during the shoot as we had actually traveled from the east coast just a few days back. Bottom line: he was all smiles and giggles and needless to say the photos turned out great! We went in on Monday and received all 1200 photos by that following Friday. All 3 of my children had their first birthday photos done here. The quality and service that you receive is top notch and SO consistent. The husband and wife work really hard to capture quality photos. They are high energy and the wife especially is always smiling and laughing. This husband and wife duo is amazing! I wanted to do family portraits of my son (15 mo) and his grandparents, so I did a lot of research online to find the right photographer. There aren't many photographers out there with a clean, simple, and bright aesthetic like Oven Studio. I am not sure why. Because of this, our choices were limited. But, when I found Oven Studio on Yelp, it was an easy decision to make. Their prices are competitive and their photos are beautiful. It was a little difficult at first to converse with them since I am not Korean and don't speak Korean, so we did all of our communication via text. We were looking for a photographer to take my son's 100th day pictures. Oven Studio was recommended by several friends and aquaintance so I decided give it a shot. They had enormous choices of cute outfits/accessories and themed backgounds. Out of all, I was impressed with beautiful pictures of my son and their superior customer service. 1. Thorough preparation: once we decided on the photo shot day, I received a very thorough explanation of what is needed/recommend (tips) for the d-day. I have older child so I thought I knew what is needed, however, I found several things on the list very helpful. Few days before the d-day, they sent me another message with pictures of studio's surroundings & neighborhood, explaining how to get to the studio and how to find a parking. Driving to an unfamiliar neighborhood with a little one can be a hassle but they made it very easy and smooth. 2. Studio assistant: Both photographer and the assistant were very welcoming and kind. We were lead to an area with a desk and a small sofa/futon where my son can make himself at home and play while mommy/daddy are deciding on details of photo shot with the photographer. The female studio assistant said she is a mother of a young child. As we walked in, she took care of my son, she brought snacks for my older child and a cup of water after I breastfed my son. I didn't have to ask for anything and she knew what was needed. She changed my son into the photo shot outfit and made him laugh. Once again she knew what was needed, hassle and worry free photo shot experience. 3. Product and time-frame: both my hubby and I were beyond satisfied with the pictures. We couldn't decided which pictures to print as we liked so many of them, especially the ones with our both children. We've received countless compliments of the pictures and we are very happy the money well spent. Once we picked out the pictures to print, it took only few weeks to receive framed/printed pictures. Super sweet and charming husband and wife team working together to bring baby magic! We did my baby's dohl pictures in their studio, which had EVERYTHING. I'm talking props. I'm talking dresses. I'm talking costumes. I'm talking hairpins, hair bands and accessories. Toys, backdrops, furniture....seriously. You can come here with nothing but a clean baby and it gets done. First of all, they have the whole making the baby look at the camera and also smile down to a science. Impressed at how much energy they exerted into getting all of the pics. Second, I really appreciated the fact that they had EVERYTHING in the studio. Not just the different furniture and backdrops but I'm talking about outfit changes. I wanted to keep some of the dresses and hair bands that we borrowed. They even had Korean hanbok's to rent. I really didn't have to buy anything. Third, their prices are pretty reasonable. You get all of your digital files plus 26 prints and even one large framed print. (We chose the most expensive one with the family photos with 3 backgrounds.) Finally, they are fairly responsive by email and text. I loved that. I was on a tight deadline due to trying to make the holiday card order cut off date and sending out her dohl invitations time, and they couldn't promise anything....but they delivered.
