Nic L.

Best lab in OC, I have had $1000s in photos developed here and recommend it to anyone looking for a shop. They are very helpful with questions and provide excellent customer service. Scans usually will be back the day after you drop the negatives off. If you have 10+ rolls, be sure to ask for the bulk discount!

I've been going to them for any sort of photo prints for the past couple years and loved the high quality and crisp prints. The staff continues to be terrific, helpful, and communicative. My husband and I had our bigger wedding photos printed for the wedding!

I had film from a disposable camera developed here. I received the pictures in my email later that afternoon and picked up my physical copies the next day. It was super easy, fast, and I love the quality of the photos. I will definitely be back!

The scans came out amazing! I chose the mail in option and paid for the negatives to be mailed back. Overall took about 5 days to get the scans. Thank you!

The shop owner was quite friendly to me, being a beginner. Receiving scans at 5PM when I dropped off at 12PM was amazing.. and they are good quality! I will definitely be using them again. Only Con: Their film stock prices are high. Kodak gold 200 and ultramax 400 was about 60-75% more than BH

Came here to develop some film from my disposable camera, it was a quick and easy process and they developed it very fast. They sent me an email with a link to download all my pictures the very next day, the pictures came out fantastic. I also let them know that I wanted to keep the film negatives when I dropped the camera off, and they were ready to pick up the next day. They came in an envelope with their own plastic protector.

Reviews are overwhelmingly positive. People highlight the fast turnaround, friendly and helpful staff, and excellent print and scan quality. Pricing is often described as reasonable.

Ask the Community - Legacy Film Lab

What kind of film scanner do you use?

Hi Peter, we use both the Fuji Frontier Scanner and Noritsu HS-1800 Scanner. Thanks for asking!

Hi, how much is it for a disposable camera to get developed and scanned? Do you upload the images on a server for access? Thanks!

Hi Daniel, The price is $15.99. If you bring it before 1PM, we'll deliver the images same day.…

I have the film, but I haven't opened the negatives yet. Could you open the film and scan the negatives in the film developing process?

Hi George, Yes we can. Please bring your film to our lab during our regular hours. M - F 9AM -…

Do you still do after hour drop offs? I went but did not see the mail box at your front door.

Yes, we do. Just make your order on our website, legacyfilmlab.com, then put you film in a bag with your name and order number and place it through the mail slot on our door. It's on the right hand side. Hope that helps!

Do you ship negatives back to customers?

Yes, we do on request. The shipping fee is $4.99.

Hi, is there an after hours film drop-off available?

Hi Raymond, just download our order form here, https://fotoworkspro.com/pages/35mm-film-developing…

Do they sell 35mm film?

Yes, absolutely. We have carry Kodak Gold, Kodak Portra, and Fuji color films. And, we also carry Ilford BW films.

Are you able to scan a print and enlarge it?

Hi Chris, absolutely!

How much does developing film cost?

it starts at $12 per roll

Do you return film negatives?

Hi Sharon, Absolutely! We encourage people to keep their negatives. It's a physical artifact of your memory.

How fast is the turn around?

24 hours for photo prints 72 hours for metal and canvas

Do you print 5-piece canvases (one image)?

Yes we can do split image canvas prints

How fast can you have a canvas ready? Also it says canvas sheet on your website, but is it on a frame to hang on wall?

They are canvas wraps on a frame that are ready to hang. If you get the order in by Monday, we'll have it ready for pick up by Friday.

What's is the turn around time? I am hoping to get a metal print done before Thursday.

I have only use them for a regular prints but I can tell you their service is fast and of course it all depends on the workload that they have at the time you place the order. I'm sure if you ask by Thursday they'll do their best to make it…

Do they develop film?? or just digital prints

Hello, We do digital prints only. Thanks!

I'm meeting Cylons Boomer/Athena, Caprica Six, and Blair Waldorf tomorrow, what do I do?…read more Out of desperation a few years ago, I needed a photo shop. I looked for a photo shop near my house. Couldn't find one (digital photography had already started to take over, photo shops were a dying breed). Looked for one near my office and found the Enlarger on the web. Not knowing anything about them, I drove over to check out their facilities, hoping for the best. If you remember photo shops from back in the day, not all of them were good. Some only wanted to print 4" x 6" prints off your rolls. No single prints. No size changes. Some glossy only, some matte only. Others took forever. Some used 2nd rate paper. I go to a number of signing events and usually pre-plan and order my 8" x 10" photos on Shutterfly. Sometimes I can't wait a week to get my pictures. This was one of those occasions. I bring in my digital photo on a CD and Jim, the owner says, "Let's take a look!" We loaded my photo on to his Mac. While both of us looked at the screen, Jim helped me crop and adjust the color quality so that I knew what the photo would look like before he printed. Just three or four of my photos needed slight editing. He didn't charge extra for doing this (I still recommend that you edit your photos at home first). I dropped off my small order in the morning and received my 8" x 10" prints in the afternoon on the same day! Jim and his wife at the Enlarger have saved me a few times. The Enlarger is capable of doing digital editing, retouch and repair of old photos, and can even make a life size blowup cutout of you mounted on poster stock or foam core! I've only used them to print up some 8" x 10" photos. They use high quality paper and the color on the pictures were brilliant. If your order is small and not too complex, they might be able to turn it around on the same day! I got my pictures, did I get my girls? Yes. Tricia Helfer, Grace Park and Leighton Meester all signed the beautiful prints! Happy, happy Howie.

Does anyone know what happened to The Enlarger? I've been trying to get my original photo back…read morefrom them of my niece that passed away in October. He didn't do my job and I've tried to call, stop by and email but to no avail. I don't know what to do.
