DVD Your Memories did a great job converting our 8mm film, some of which goes back to the 1960s. We went with the premium service for brightness and color correction, and the videos look great. I appreciated that they also put the reels in order and labeled the digital files based on what we had written on the old reels themselves. They also cleaned the original film and put it on larger reels so we can still enjoy them with a projector if we want. Service and communication was top notch, and they finished the conversion on time for us to enjoy the videos at Christmas. I highly recommend their service! read more

The cost was a bit more than another recommended service which was further however, it was offset by my joy in hearing voices of my 6 and 9 year-old children (now they are 45 and 48 years old) , and our Beloved Grandmother and her Cousin's voices, laughter and stories made the price well worth it . I had some slides my Dad took in the 1960s that I wanted to digitize. They were a weird size and processing method, 120 Ektachrome. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to find anyone to handle them. I did a test run of 10 slides as a test. DVD Your Memories handled them like champs. The images are crisp and sharp and colorful. Skintones are natural. I included an example. It only took about a week to get them done. Communication was a little confusing. I got a bill in my email. I wasn't sure if I needed to pay it to get processing started. I found an old cassette from 40 years ago of a three year old doing nursery rhymes etc. Only about 10 minutes long. I wanted to give it as a gift. I thought I'd transfer it to a flash drive since most people don't have a cassette player. And I asked the tech if they could remove a lot of the white noise and make the volume louder so the quiet areas could be heard. He said no problem. I'm disappointed that it pretty much sounds the same. There's still the noise of the cassette but, more importantly, when I turn the volume all the way up, I still can barely hear the soft talking. I would understand if he said the improvements couldn't be made or "we'll try" - but he led me to believe "no problem". I guess watching him write the instructions on a sticky note should have been my first clue.... Disappointing. read more

I dropped off my vhs Tuesday hoping I could pick up my dvd Friday or at the latest Monday. This was to be a gift for my bfs 50th birthday.
