I just wanted to say that I highly recommend this place and expert. Yes expert on getting my tapes digitized. I like most people have had tons and tons of old 8mm tapes and video cassettes just sitting in storage. I would say I had roughly 110 ish items to get digitized. I had 70+ VHS tapes and Hi-8 cassettes I needed digitized. At first, I looked up Costco, Legacybox, and a few other big names. However, after checking reviews and other people's experiences online, I decided not to go down that route. I don't trust myself to buy the tools needed and do it myself (and then get rid of the tools), so I started looking at local businesses, and this was one of the first on the Yelp list. I gave them a call, and Chad picked up. We talked for a bit, and i had the videos sent to him within a day. He keeps you updated on the progress and asks you any questions he might have. My family had duplicates of the Hi-8s on VHSs, so he informed me that he'll keep the hi-8 versions, as they're better quality. I had a lot of videos, which needed a bigger hard drive than a USB stick, which i was able to provide. The entire process took less than a week (reminder that shipping and processing times will vary with everyone). For years I had mix of old mini VHS and regular VHS tapes lying around collecting dust. I figured why not get them digitized so that that I can relive the memories and have something to show my kids. I was hesitant at first to contact Kountry Joe Productions since they are a relatively new business but after speaking with the owner, Chad, and him taking the time to explain his background in video production as well as a stint as the video guy for a local MLB team I was sold.
