Getting a quote / estimate online was easy enough. Called David at the store before I went to pick up my rental to confirm the details. They do not accept Apple Pay for the rental deposit (makes sense). They will ask for the physical credit card and your ID (because scammers ruined everything). Street parking can be tricky since Harbor is a busy road. But there are lots of parking in the nearby plazas. Rental: Canon 70-200 EF iii Equipment: Good quality and well-maintained. Duration: Friday to Monday Deposit: $400 on a credit card Verification: they will ask for ID or DL Return process: seamless and easy. The deposit hold was released right away. My boyfriend and I came in today and a couple weeks ago with a 35 mm camera that we are very new to. Immediately we were attended to and helped out in extreme detail with how to operate it, what lenses would help me, what film to choose, and any other question I had. The two gentlemen, one of which the manager; went out of their way to give me more information and tested it for us to verify that the camera I had purchased from an outside retailer function appropriately. I miss Fullerton cameras!! I figured we would try image one now for our film development. Definitely took longer than Fullerton cameras would have. And seems a lot pricier. We developed the same amount of film and it was definitely more costly. This was not including a CD with our pictures . For the price we paid at image one, we could've developed and received a CD from Fullerton cameras. My husband also paid for the development when he dropped off the film. When he picked up, they stated it costs extra so they charged him an additional fee. My husband thinks the new staff is not as friendly and not as knowledgeable. They're there to just run a business. Nothing more , not even an education on cameras/ film. Will not be coming back read more

Do not bring your vintage cameras for repair at this establishment. The shop staff is very nice but sadly their repair people do not know their way around Polaroid Sx-70's. Their communication is extremely poor and they charge you a non-refundable $15 for a "repair estimate". Don't waste your time. One of my cameras suffered a fall and was slightly out of alignment to where it wouldn't close, when I brought it in I was told that their repair person was familiar with this camera and would be able to fix it no problem but they would contact me within a week to let me know the cost. A week goes by and I had not heard anything so I call the shop and am informed that my camera was taken to a different location (without my consent) because the original repair person didn't know how to fix it. I was very upset with the miscommunication and let them know that I would be picking up my camera the next day. The next day before I go in to the shop I receive a phone call from the shop stating that the repair person (who could not figure out the issue initially) had taken a look at it and it would cost $300 to repair. So what was the actual truth? They are incompetent and wasted a week of my time along with $15 for their "repair estimate" that basically gets you a new camera. read more

Let me start off by saying I truly miss Fullerton camera and thier staff! They were professional and friendly. Now to my review.... Went in with the wifey on Saturday to purchase gear for my wife's new studio. We were greeted by thier rep and the interaction was fine. He was informative and helpful. Where things go a little south was today! We went in to return an item that we had purchased on Saturday. We found a far superior item and it was more cost effective. During the return he informed us that thier would be a 15% restocking fee . My wife said that's a lot of money. Now I don't know that he was intentionally condescending but his response was its only $10. It's not the full price of the receipt. Ummmm sir I'm very aware of my purchases on Saturday and know exactly what I purchased (said to myself). My wife then said just give me store credit to avoid that restocking fee. I think she had hope that we would return. His response was I can't do that I still have to charge the restocking fee. Now in my mind I know I had a conversation with this guy about putting down $3000 on a new camera for my wife because I told him we opened a studio. Very dumb move! I had the cash in my pocket at that very moment to buy her the camera as a gift! Way to enforce rules! You gained a free $10 and lost a $3000 sale and a dedicated customer. Over the years we've spent tens of thousands of dollars at Fullerton Camera. I guess you messed up! Now my bar for customer service is set very high because I own a customer service based business and my reviews are stellar! My emoyees are all on point! I can't say the same for this place. And to the other employee that had the staring issue unpacking the box of cameras be very careful at your respect level. I didn't appreciate the side eye. To whoever is monitoring this yelp account I hope this finds you well and I hope you are outraged at losing a sizeable sale and a customer that would have spent a lot of money there. This place honestly tries beyond to make a profit out of you, not so long ago I wanted to see how much would it cost me to trade in a lens that was worth $1,800 for a lens that's worth $1,300 and some how some way with "their insurance" they wanted me to pay $1,400 and my lens trade in would only be $600 like how?!?! And their rental system is beyond crazy, most other rental places don't even ask you to withhold that crazy amount of money rather just your ID/Credit or debit card and won't take any actual amount of money from you, I want to help out small businesses but making everything crazy expensive really doesn't help out, and the photography and videography field is expensive as is, this doesn't help out at all for people. read more

Super easy process and really thankful to have somewhere to rent again! I like this place. I see a bunch of negative reviews about specific services that I can't really speak for. But as far as the shop itself, I thought they were very friendly folks who know a decent amount about the gear they sell. It always makes me laugh when people complain about film prices. When you factor in inflation, it's exactly the same as it was in the 90s. They were honest with me in pointing out that film is often cheaper online, which is true to an extent. But you usually have to pay shipping costs anyways. Not to mention paying a little extra for the convenience of grabbing a couple of rolls in a hurry when you wake up and decide that you feel like shooting that day. read more

Everyone is going on and on about fullerton cameras, but let me tell you, living near by I always had trouble getting the proper gear and accessories needed. I felt they cater and focused on the vintage and film community. As a multimedia professional I need a store that has the latest gear to work with on the field. Other camera stores are way over priced and feel like being at a car dealership every time, selling you stuff you don't need. I've been shooting for over 10 years and I do photos and videos, so when ImageOne came around I was excited cause I knew they would be bringing in the latest gear for the professional to keep up to date with the changing tech world. Everytime I go in looking for a particular product or accessories they go on beyond to meet my expectations. If there's an item they don't have they will get on the phone or online to get me that product. Not to mention they always try to give me the best price. Working on different genres, they are able to help with either build a set, or a rig, rent gear, or even accessory hardware that I need for the shoot. Have been coming here since college it was an amazing camera shop with great people. Noticed how I said it was! Young guy at the counter didn't even know how to open my camera was sticking his fingers in it touching The mirror. came in with over $300 worth of film camera equipment to exchange and they told me they would give me free light Seals And a cleaning when I used to get that for $35. They don't do repairs in shop anymore. They're selection of film also isn't the best better off going to Samy's for that mater, everything is overpriced. read more
