I woke up the other day and decided that I was finally going to pull the trigger and buy the cinema camera I've been eyeing for the better part of a year. I thought about ordering online, but I'm an impatient person and I knew I wanted the immediate gratification that comes with going into a store, making the purchase, and having the merchandise in my hands right then and there. And so I made plans to trek out to Samy's Camera -- until I realized that I'd seen Image One a few times while out and about in Riverside. I thought to myself, "Hmmm... Mayhaps they'll have the camera I want." So I picked up the phone and called. Sure enough, I spoke with Eddie, who told me they had one left. I'm pretty sure I lost all cool points when I asked Eddie to hold it for me, but he was gracious enough to do so, and 30 minutes later, I was at the store, ready to make the purchase. I gotta say, Eddie and the entire squad at Image One are very knowledgeable, professional, and (most important) friendly. I had a great time chatting with them while picking up my beautiful new camera and media to go along with it. And while waiting, I noticed that the store has a great selection of lenses, lights, and other accessories that would satisfy the needs of any filmmaker or photographer. Nickel and dime, nickel and dime, that's all they do here, and they don't even do their work correctly. I'm a local resident and I'll drive out of town just to avoid the incompetence on display here. Printed my images in reverse, then tried to tell me I don't know what I'm talking about, even though when you looked at some words in the background, all the letters were backwards. But I don't know how to load a 35mm slide? They charge to transfer each slide to digital. I get that. But on top of that, 9.99 fee just to turn on the scanner for the slides. You want 5 slides converted to digital and then emailed to you? Cool, there's a $5 fee to have them email it to you. Emailing it to me takes very minimal effort and zero cost. I've been more than patient with them, given them several chances, but every time they mess up, they can't even take accountability for their mistakes, and worse they try to make the customer feel like it's their fault. Image One has slackers and morons working there. Avoid at all costs. read more

I went to have my negatives transferred to digital and also to install on a thumb drive. John in the lab section told me it would take a week to process them. I called after one week and he told me he had three more to do so I waited and called the next week but they were still not ready. I called the next week and left a message and a couple days later they told me they were ready. I went to the store and picked up my negatives and the thumb drive and when I got home the thumb drive was empty. I called and told John this because they changed me $24 for the thumb drive with nothing on it and another twenty dollars for the process transfer to digital. He was supposed to send the digital copy to my email a week ago but I haven't received it yet. I'm am very disappointed because I was so excited about the copy's that I was supposed to get. John if you care and are reading this please send me the digital copy. read more

this was my first time here and the guy with the black cap, dark brown hair and eyebrows with visible acne scars was condescending and rude to me. i asked him if they fixed polaroids (i didn't know they couldn't) and he started over explaining why they don't fix it. he made dumb comparisons, asked me answer a stupid question as if i couldn't grasp the concept of their inability to fix my cameras. i understand if you get that question a lot but that's not a reason to be condescending, just say no and move on! also he told me he'd show me a polaroid they had that did work and never did. read more

Unfortunately, I have to update my previous review. I had dropped off a few rolls of films to be developed on 11/19/2022. The manager had stated that I should receive my prints within 2 weeks. I waited 2 weeks and no update from the store. So I decided to give them a call to determine if I should expect it soon. They stated that due to the holidays they were a bit delayed. They should have given all the customers that were pending prints a courtesy call. I finally received my prints after 30 days of waiting. I totally understand that things happen, but provide better customer service and don't promise the customer something that you can't deliver on time. Better yet, call the customer to provide them an update. Also, I'm pretty disappointed about paying an extra $40 due to the half-frame prints. They should have been more specific that they were printing them as individual prints rather than regular prints. They definitely need to work on clarifying expectations and provide honest print times. read more

Terrible experience. Called on Thursday. Talked to Tom. We explained in detail what we needed to rent in a video camera so we could record an event today, Saturday. He assured us that he had everything we needed. We arrived and spoke to someone else. They did not have everything we needed. In fact, in order for us to use the video camera we wanted to rent, we would have had to purchase a $500 media card! We said, "You don't rent media cards?" He said, "We don't have any." So he expected us to buy a $500 media card for a camera we were going to rent? What a tremendous waste of time driving there. And now, because they massively failed on service, we have no camera whatsoever to use today. The guy who helped us didn't seem to care even a tiny bit. Highly un-recommended. read more
