Okaay, call me a hyppo or just call me hyp. That's right, I'm being hypocritical because just days ago, I wrote a loyal review for lucy and here I am now, writing one for her nemesis. But before you judge, let me explain... I recently bought their running socks (at $14 each). I've been delaying a much needed hefty purchase of new running shoes so I figured changing my in-soles and socks would help. Boy, did they. I felt light on my feet as I ran and the socks I wore were quick-dry which definitely helped me not funk up the house after I took my shoes off. I really do enjoy their clothes, I just wish they weren't so damn overly expensive. Their hoodies are the best and their pants I just never want to take off. But, I just can't justify spending $100 per piece if it's only to lounge and workout in. That's just me. With that said, the articles of clothing that I do own from lulu are my beloveds and I am expecting that they last until I'm 90 and beyond. The staff here are usually pretty friendly and helpful. The store is very well organized. The staff is super friendly. The clothes are a bit expensive but good quality. I've had a scuba hoodie for a little less than a year and the zipper broke. I was willing to toss in the towel on it but my friend told me that they would fix the zipper for me. I took it in to have it repaired but they said it would take about 8 weeks. WHAT?!! How would I get through winter without it? I asked if I could just exchange it for a different one and without hesitation, they said "absolutely". So....overpriced? I'm not sure. Yes, it was $110 for a hoodie but they back their product. If it breaks, they will fix it or replace it. In the long run, I guess you get what you pay for here. read more

I haven't been to the University Village in awhile and was surprised to find that Barnes and Noble was gone, but I was happy to find luluemon here. I've been wanting new workout wear and I just loved the last pair of lululemon pants I bought. They are so comfy and stays in shape after a long period of use and washings and best of all they are also figure flattering which I love. The other brands that I bought were not so flattering and didn't hold up as well. I bought another pair of yoga pants and a hoodie at this store. The sales people are friendly and helpful here. They offer free hemming but luckily for me all the pants I bought fit perfectly. Yes they are expensive but you get what you pay for. read more

Frig!! I just spent $100 on workout pants. That's right, nice, soft, comfy, perfectly hemmed workout pants that I look pretty damn good in. That was my criteria you see and I looked everywhere else first, but this is where I found it. The store is great, sometimes better than others depending on who is working. I have had the overexcited-over enthusiastic-let me trap you in the coner for twenty minutes while I tell you about the zipper garage salesperson ans well as the non-chalant, look-at-me, oh yeah-pants are somewhere over there types sales person. Thankfully, more often than not there are just genuinely nice, helpful, people. I wish they made short sizes, even though they do hemming, a short pants option would be great. I would also love to go in for something simple like a running hoodie and be able to come out without dropping $100+, you know, maybe at least one or two options. However, there is no better motivation to work out that a $100 pair of workout pants in your drawer guilting you in to go for a run. read more

When I go to Lululemon, I'm looking for their functional pieces. I like that so many of their staffers are active yoga/Pilates/marathon/triathlon participants. I've had nothing but excellent, well-informed service. Additionally, I've received great advice from the older woman a few reviewers have complained about, and although I see how her personality might be a bit off-putting, she always has a ton of great information about my more technical questions. That's what's most important in my book. I'm tall and thin (what drew me to Lululemon in the first place -- huzzah, tall pants!), so it troubles me to hear people claiming they've received poor service based on their appearance. I can't help but wonder if some people are projecting their insecurities onto an organization, as I have several heavier friends who are actually the ones who recommended me to this store. Don't bother spending your money on the socks or the bras (Target's C9 are my favorite), but anything from the Run series is outstanding. read more

Lululemon does make a great product. Their products also come with a hefty price tag, which hasn't stopped me because I understand that ol' motto: "You get what you pay for". Most great companies have great return policies too (Nordstrom, REI, for example) This is part of what sets them apart from all the others. Unfortunately, Lululemon does not have a great return policy. I bought a pair of pants for $100+ and they snagged after the first wash. Since I own several Lululemon items, I really feel pretty confident in saying that the pants were flawed in some way. I attempted to return them to this particular store. The manager assisted my transaction and would not allow a return, after less than 90 days. At my request for other services to repair the snag, she explained that they do not have any kind of service like this, nor did she offer suggestions to remedy the problem. I was not too impressed. I'll be doing the majority of my Lululemon purchases at the Burlington Outlet from now on, since their "FINAL SALE" policy is stated clearly, and the prices are amazing. Oh, and the store is kind of small for the amount of items they stock. They need to consider renting a larger space. This is yet another reason I prefer to shop at the outlet, you can actually view the merchandise without being pushed or shoved. read more

Groove pants are amazing! Love the color options! Lots of the pants are reversible too. But indeed it is pricey but I am a believer of you get what you pay for (usually). These pants fricking rock! They make your ass look great! My fiance was enamored and quickly got over the fact that they cost like almost $100, thank gosh for my gift card. Love these pants and would wear them everyday if I could. The sales girl was nice and helpful. Asked me if it was my first time and explained the pants sizes and how they do alterations. I actually would not have picked up the groove pant but she suggested them saying they were the best sellers and now I can see why! Well worth the money. I wouldn't outfit my entire closet in lululemon because it is indeed expensive, but I think it's definitely worth it to get a few nice pieces of work-out wear. read more

Lulu I think I love you! I learned about Lululemon upon moving to Seattle and have fallen in love. Yes it's a bit pricey, but if you break it down to cost per wear .... honey you should be shopping here! The staff is uber knowledgeable about the products and very helpful. I like designer clothes just as much as the next woman. And I think we have all learned that you get what you pay for. Sure, if you've been doing your homework, visited a store, or looked at lululemon's online store- you have probably noticed that they are a little pricey. I myself, have a hard time parting with money on material things. Even when I really want something. I did though, for my very first lululemon item, I bought a hoodie. This hoodie was so mysteriously flattering, breathable, fitting, and was made to move! I absolutly loved it, it was my favorite. I since then, own many items. And I have not once been disappointed. Visited this store today when I found out that a pair of my Lululemon pants had a small hole near a seam. I did not have a receipt and honestly had bought these pants around a year ago. They allowed me to exchange them for another pair at the original price of the pants (not a mark down price). The staff was nothing short of exceptional. Everyone was friendly and helpful from the cashier, the girl working the pants section and the girl working the fitting rooms. They were able to help me find a comparable pair of pants that I love (MORE than the original ones). This brand is expensive but the best fitting I've found. The clothes here are so cute and finally I've found pants that are long enough! They have a large selection of bottoms, bras, tops, headbands, workout gear ,cute bags and a men's section! I am a bigger supporter now that I found out they stand behind their products!!My only regret is that I couldn't buy everything in the store! :) read more

They may be ridiculously expensive, but these Lululemon pants make miracles happen. Seriously. The most comfortable, flattering workout pants I've ever worn - and I have tried a bunch of other (more affordable) brands! You get what you pay for. Now if only they'd start making more supportive tops for those of us who've got a bit more going on up there... that might make me a full-on Lulu girl. Lululemon in University Village has a new storefront and it is so much bigger and nicer than the location they moved out of. Their staff are always super energetic and helpful. I like their clothes but I generally come for their community yoga classes on Sunday mornings. Each month they feature a different yoga studio with different instructors teaching different forms of yoga. Their classes offer a good workout for free with variety and a whole room full of yoga-lovers who aren't the bit pretentious. The space is large but the classes fill up. Get there early if you want a mat and a spot and don't arrive late. read more

I had read in some other reviews that this location was "sizeist" even to women shopping for a 6 or an 8. Nervous but needing a new (size 12, gulp) jacket, I ventured in anyway. I had a good experience. I was helped by several different people and shown all their jackets. They looked up the price of something where the tag had fallen off and overall gave good customer service. The store is also huge and they had a huge selection of sizes and colors. Found a jacket that I LOVE. I love pretty much everything I have from Lululemon and it looks great on my size 12 body. In regards to this store, venture into this store with low expectations of customer service and at the very least you won't be disappointed and you might leave really happy. Four stars. read more

Went on a Saturday afternoon and this place was busy. My first time there and lucky us, their scuba jacket was on a discount. Our original plan was to see if I could return a Christmas gift for something else but instead we left the store without exchanging/returning and $120 deep. The sales rep were friendly. I'm hoping I can visit them again to purchase the other outerwear that I was eyeing and hopefully the next time it'll be less hectic and I'll get a slightly better experience. read more

I am a huge fan of Lululemon and visit any chance I get. Where I live in California the closest Lululemon is about an hour away, so I take full advantage anytime I can. I was able to pick up a few pieces while visiting the University Village location. This location seemed to have more on clearance, which I tool full advantage of. The staff were all nice and friendly. The staff that was checking me out happened to notice my California number, which was a nice treat. It's always great to find other Californians when traveling. read more

A beautiful, amazing store that I often go into just because I love being in there. Their free yoga classes and events are delightful, their clothes just make me feel good, and I love the fact that they do so much in and for the community. I'm a big fan of their focus on goal setting, and of course, the lululemon manifesto. I really do think they help people live more fun, active and healthy lives. They help me do that at least. And I'm taking my dog to "Doga" next week - does it get any cuter than that? =) read more

Fancy pants. I made a special holiday trip to U Village to check out what people that can and like to spend experience. Lululemon is a nice store. The employees were very attentive. There was even a male salesperson which I appreciate unless they are more girlie than I. Both sales people I encountered (Paul and his female counterpart) were very kind and knowledgeable about the products they were selling. They seemed genuine in their approach. That place is not for me. When someone says a pair of tights is for "technical use" then I expect something more than a thin pair of tights with lousy stitching. Technical has taken on a new definition with the younger crowd - must mean that they had a crack in the sidewalk. Feel free to spend your money there if you have expendable cash. read more

Ahh lululemon... expensive but great! I had an awesome experience at this store. Everyone was smiling and friendly. I was greeted upon entering the store and helped right away. I was shopping for some yoga pants and the girl did a great job of explaining the different styles and how they would fit. She helped me get exactly what I was looking for. She even found me after I had tried them on to see if she chose the right size for me and if I liked them (Size was perfect and I LOVED them). I was reading some reviews and a lot of people are complaining that the women's sizes only go up to a size 12 (that's an XL). If you are going to complain that lululemon only goes up to a size 12 then maybe complain about ALL retail shops.. Most retail stores DO NOT HAVE A PLUS SIZE SECTION, especially at this price point (I'm not talking about department stores). read more

Finally found their shorts in the corner of the store. $50 for a pair of yoga shorts? Yes- they're cute but are they $50 cute? Little pricey for a pair of shorts if you ask me. I needed two specific types of pants for work and they immediately found them, one pair has to be shipped from Texas, and one right I the store. They made the exchange absolutely painless and quick. The only thing I have to say is MAN alive are these people proud of their product!!! The prices prove that! I think that $130 for a fleece running jacket is absolutely INSANE and ridiculous. Even if you HAVE the money, you can pay that and get much better quality at REI or Champ Sports. I will not ever go here again. A simple yoga head band is $22. Give me a break. If you're spending money here, you have too much and should think of donating to charity..hahahaha...ok, none of my business but this store is just a waste of money. This store hosts free Sunday morning yoga classes and I attended two of them in May. I have been an on-and-off yoga practicioner for a long time but practice yoga weekly these days; I thought the Lululemon classes would be a great way to sample different studios and teachers in town. My experience with the visiting yoga instructors was great both times. Unfortunately on my second visit I was given nasty looks by two women on staff immediately when I walked in the door and until I left, though the male staffer present was very friendly and professional. I met one of these women the first time I came and did not have any type of negative exchange, so I was simply dumbfounded! I was left to wonder if they were confusing me with some other Black lady (though I didn't see any others on my visits). It was quite an uncomfortable experience and I'm not sure that I'll return for yoga despite the great instructors and friendly attendees. Definitely a bummer. I would give it a lower rating if the classes weren't free and open to the public, and the one staffer hadn't been as kind as the other two were shady. It's an overpriced workout clothes store, not Saks. Save the attitude. read more

I couldn't buy just pants I needed a new sweat band, and a tank top, and a jacket! oh fuck what is this going to cost me... but you know what ? I wear it all the time, and now I need more.. because it's so comfortable, and soaks up all the sweat.. parking is soo hard to find here, especially on weekends you have to circle forever to find a spot, the store is clean but when I was looking at the leggings in my size it was super unorganized and messy,none of the workers on the floor asked me if I needed help finding anything, which is okay I already knew what I wanted to get, the fitting room is clean and spacious. read more

Don't bother coming here! Staff was very rude when I tried to exchange my yoga pants. When I gave them to one of the employees she took them to the seamstress. They kept looking over at me and laughing, just being really obvious and rude. The employee came over and said I could exchange one but not the other. She referred the yoga pants as "beat to shit" literally BEAT TO SHIT. Wow seriously? I've worked in retail for over 3 years, and I would NEVER curse in front a customer it's just so incredibly unprofessional. I took my other exchange to the front and the guy at the register, his name is Nick had a stink attitude. I said "thank you have a good night" and he didn't even look up or say it back all he said was "mhmm". I called the next day because I was so disturbed by their lack of customer service. I talked to one of the managers and told her the story. She could care less. She didn't even ask who "helped" me out or anything! She didn't offer to even look at the leggings I had brought in. If I could give this place negative stars I would. I love Lululemon but I would rather be stuck in traffic for 2 hours going to the downtown Seattle location then go back to this location. This place is a disgrace and needs serious and better management. I will never return. read more

As a yoga instructor, I love looking the part, but not at these ridiculous prices. Two visits in one week - both with me walking out carrying bags of new, colorful, sleek workout clothes! The fabrics they use are so comfortable and easy to move in. Great selection of items to layer with for the studio or the trail. I really like the layout of pants: tight to loose on the wall to find the right fit for you. If the other reviewer is correct and they actually designed their pants for our butts to look good, i say 'why thank you!' - I was inspired to workout all week knowing I had such fun new gear to wear! Even those not visible to passers-by... The staff is wonderful, it's easy to do exchanges/returns on a case-by-case basis (if you buy pants for your boyfriend and find out he is cheating on you before he ever wears them - they take them back on principle!). U-Village on a Sunday is enough to make you insane, but leaving this store with a pep in your step is worth it - Ommmm. read more

I absolutely adore lululemon clothing and shop there frequently. I am sad to give it two stars though and it is entirely based upon the poor service I received there today. I went in to return a couple of items (out of a large purchase) and the experience was the worst that I have had had at any lulu store. I think there needs to be some additional customer service training for new employees (and managers). A few of the comments that were made to me seemed completely inappropriate and opposite of the image the company is trying to portray. read more

Disappointed tonight. The staff is normally tremendous with the exception of tonight. Over the past few years I have bought at least a dozen different Lulu items. I was completely satisfied with all my purchases with the exception of 3 pairs of yoga pants that got undone at the seam only weeks after buying them. I was happily granted fair exchanges. Usual: Great staff, the younger newbies are the opposite of the more experienced warmer, welcoming, helpful staff. Tonight my friend had two pairs of yoga pants that were getting undone at the seam. While they had been somewhat worn, I encouraged her to just ask to see if the staff would be willing to exchange them under their policy, there was no obvious reason as to why the seam ripped. We went in and two of the female staff stood 3 feet away from us to discuss if they were exchangeable. While we could tell they were talking smack through their body language we also heard them inappropriately call one pair of the pants "beat as shit" 3 feet away from us! Once they were done they allowed us to exchange one pant and we were more then grateful despite the lack of respect. When we went to check out we got a look and mutter of disgust from our male cashier that he made no point of hiding from us. I was appalled by the disrespect and rudeness of the staff tonight. As someone who works in retail a huge part of my training was respect and kindness towards the customers whether they're right or wrong. There are better ways to treat people. read more
