She's about 5'3" blonde with glasses. She told me it's a sales item and that everything they have is on the rack. So I continued to shop and paid for 4 items with her. She's polite, but not friendly. While I was walking out, another sales lady approached me and asked if I'm looking for anything specific. So I told her I actually really liked the Venice Sweatshirt but they didn't have my size. She then pulled out a device and said that she can order online for me. So I waited, and then she looked at me and said they might have one in the back! She asked me if I can wait for her and I did. She came back with the exact sweatshirt I wanted and helped me with check out so that I didn't have to wait in line again. She's very friendly and professional, she CHECKS her inventory!! And she invited me to come back and shop again. Her name is Debbie. I would definitely go back and see her! Such a nice lady and I hope Athleta could keep her there because this location really is a hit or miss in terms of SA. Store is clean, selections are great. I hope the store manager will read this and improve their CS because I do like Athleta products.

Showed up at 6:55 to pick up an order where the text said they were open until 7. But when I…read morearrived the door was locked and the employees just shook their head at me when I knocked on the door, even though there were still customers shopping inside. I managed to get in because I called the store number, but when I called them out on this, they lied to my face- they said that they close early if it's slow for payroll reasons, but again there were other customers shopping at this time. They also said I could have knocked- but this was exactly what I had done, when they just looked at me through the locked door and shook their head no. I regrettably feel like this was a racial action and I will be reporting this to corporate.

Attended an early morning Beauty Trend Show in late July. It featured guest speakers talking about…read morecertain featured products, their attributes and makeovers on stage with the specific product reps applying it on models. They had light bites like croissants, yogurt fruit cups, coffee, juice, water and prosciutto wrapped melons. They had a DJ, raffles, free samples, freebies with a purchase and the theme was Hawaiian so we were given plastic leis and a big yellow mesh bag with a goodie bag filled with some samples. The presentation was upbeat and fun except for some ladies who were constantly chatting and even a couple of ladies behind me who just kept talking throughout the whole show so it was hard to hear. I don't know if one was translating from English but I thought it was very inconsiderate. It was already sometimes hard to hear because the speakers had to hold a microphone while trying to do a makeover and/or the music was also loud. Despite the interruptions, the reps and employees kept it upbeat. We ended up getting coupons under certain seats so that was a bonus for those who didn't win a gift basket from the raffle. Those baskets were generous with products!! After the show, women scattered to the respective cosmetic reps to try samples, buy with purchase and take advantage of the extras the reps brought for both the Beauty Trend Show and the Anniversary Sale. I reached out to the Beauty Manager, Belinda as I wanted some tips for eye makeup with a MAC rep. Belinda set up an appointment with a MAC Field Exec Shane Turner who was also a presenter. I showed up for my appointment but he was helping other customers who wanted to take advantage of the sales freebies for the day so I had to wait in the chair for maybe 10-15 minutes. He told me he'd wish there were more associates to help out. He seemed serious and overwhelmed. I told him about the MAC products I use and that caffeine irritates my eyes. He offered one product and said it doesn't have caffeine but I found out it had some in the ingredients list when I got home. I asked about the wear on a satin lipstick and he said it was long-wearing but it wore off later on in the afternoon. He applied a Green liner that was supposed to be long-wearing as well but that ended up smearing by the afternoon when I was still at the mall. He used a too radiant & brown tone concealer so that wasn't the correct shade. He gave some tips that were helpful but was disappointed in the actual products used. Afterwards, I went to 111 Skin and bubbly, enthusiastic, positive & informative Lupe the 111Skin rep was really fun to talk to and l learned about the line. She ran out of eye patches as a ton of women were lined up to try them. I had to leave the line earlier so I could make my MAC appointment so I missed out. I ended up learning about the product line and bought a serum after she applied it on me. I was amazed at the results! She was able to give me samples of their products so I could try before I buy so I was happy with that. I went to try some Jo Malone perfume and wanted to try a sample but they ran out of the tester on one. I was only able to spray some on my arm. When I checked out with a male employee, I noticed he had a few other yellow totes with samples and asked him about that. That was for the Influencers who RSVP'd originally for that day and I happened to be one of them so he gave me one! Afterwards, I went upstairs to look for more Anniversary sale items. The helpful Asian female clerk helped me locate some items that were on my list. I was happy they had a lot of sizes and merchandise at this location. They were well-stocked! This is a convenient location and have online store pickups upstairs which is convenient. The eBar has quick bites and I was able to get a Green Smoothie.

Extremely disappointing customer service at Nordstrom. I went in to look for shoes, and when the…read moreemployee at the front register saw me approaching, she walked to the back instead of offering assistance. When she eventually came back out and asked if I needed something, I said yes, but also pointed out that I had noticed her walk away while I was waiting. I told her she I would wait for help by the other employee who was already assisting another customer with shoes first, but her response was incredibly dismissive and had such a rude tone. She then offered to get the shoes I was looking for, so I gave her the style and size I needed. When she returned, she had an attitude yet again. I genuinely don't understand why customers are made to feel like they're a burden for simply asking for help. I came in to shop, not to deal with someone's attitude. Basic courtesy and professionalism should be the bare minimum, especially at a store like Nordstrom. Please do a better job of training your staff. Customer service matters, and this experience was unacceptable and left a really bad impression.

Now that I'm a working professional, it's kind of shocking to see how inflated the prices are for not-great-quality accessories and garments. I certainly fell for all of it in my teens and early 20s. Not so much these days anymore. Still, a nice nostalgia trip to walk through here. I did buy a My Chemical Romance Black Parade onesie, so gems can still be found. I'm not sure if they're the most comfortable (their sole is extremely flat) but I still like them. I mean I guess their original purpose was skate shoes so that's probably why their soles are like that. I liked that they had sample shoes out and it was very clearly labeled if it was on sale. I just had to flip the shoe and look at the price on the bottom. I flagged down someone to try some shoes and he was very nice. He was extremely busy helping customers but he did not forget about me which has happened with other stores! I tried on the hibiscus old skool sneakers and thought it looked cute. Very classic silhouette. The guy walked by and said it looked very pretty! When I finally went to pay he apologized for the long waits which was not his fault! Anyway I was quite pleased with the service here and hope I can enjoy these shoes for a long time!

I'm very happy with the adjustment, as well as the professional job that they did. For anyone wondering, the cost to get sleeves shortened was $40 which isn't too bad IMO, plus I know I'm giving my clothes to professionals. Took about a week to get it done, which I wasn't mad about, especially when I saw that they had other items they were working on for other customers as well. I forgot the tailor's name, but it was so cool to see him in the process of customizing a jacket. As I said in my previous interview, the staff here is really awesome, and all the times I've ever been here I've always been treated really well and got the help that I needed, especially with Jean fits and sizes.
