Fear that it was a too posh store for me and it would look weird to just say the classic 'just browsing today'. What a great surprise to find out that The Shop is, actually, a thrift shop. Posh, but second hand clothes at really good prices. Everything in the store is impecable, clean, well organized by colors and styles and in great state. I got 2 great deals that look simply fantastic on me (will post pics of that soon:). Got a jacket from Max Mara for just $20, very chic and fitting and another dark brown corduroy blazer for just $15 of no name brand but equally super fitting and flattering. I was beyond happy when I left the store. This is not your casual Salvation Army, this is high end stuff well taken care of at great prices (even the high brand with higher prices were not very expensive).

I actually attended as part of a private company event and the staff were all super friendly and welcoming. There was a bit of a wait for the fitting rooms so I put my clothes on a rack while I shopped around. When it was my turn, to my surprise there was an extra pair of green pants that I didn't add and I pointed that out. They said that they added it for me to try on with my stuff! I was skeptical but I tried it and to my surprise the pants fit me like a glove and were super comfortable! I was super impressed they were able to pinpoint my size and it looked nice with the clothes I was trying on! I liked the pants so much I ended up buying them. They're the utility straight leg pants and I even bought another pair online in a different color (on sale) since I liked the fit so much. Their tops sizing seems pretty consistent. I was consistently around an XS. I did try on a jacket in XS but it felt a bit baggy so maybe I could wear XXS in jackets. They had a cool bomber jacket on the men's aisle that I wish they had on the women's aisle as well! I think Everlane's clothes are on the pricier side but they feel nice and I hope to get a lot of wears out of the pieces I bought!

While I like their clothing, I had a really frustrating experience in person with an online return…read more I had purchased a coat online (coat was great but just didn't fit right) and, since I was in the area, decided to return at the store. In retrospect, I should have just mailed the return in as I had originally planned. The male salesperson helped me out, scanned the item, and I thought the return was complete. However, when I went home and checked my receipts, I realized that I had gotten incorrectly charged for an exchange for a $100 sweater instead of getting refunded for the full amount of the return item (keep in mind, I just returned the coat and left in less than 5 minutes; I certainly did not purchase any items or make an exchange). I called the store and am hoping the mistake will get fixed and I'll get reimbursed the full amount but this was super frustrating and has never happened to me with another company before - I'm still at a lost for how I could have gotten charged for an item that I didn't purchase....
