My PT therapist mentioned Montague & Son The Birkenstock Store located in Herndon and yesterday I finally dropped by. Located close to Lotte Plaza and Fair Oaks Hospital, it's a small store but packed with Birkenstock sandals and other ancillaries . I was met entering by a young lady (Ceres?)who took her time to help me decide which sandals would fit and what colors were available (none of mine were so went with second best). She was very thorough, up to the point where another young lady who was obviously a close friend stopped by and then I had her divided attention to check-out. I have my sandals and tried them as directed for an hour first day and the tried the second day. It hurt in the top of my foot and I had to read the reviews to find out why it was hurting. Would have been nice to have been told that by my associate. Not cheap so pay attention in the store. I overheard another associate going deeper into the physical aspects of the sandals so try and see if you can enter, walk around and listen in to conversations to see which associate seem to be most knowledgeable. Hopefully the sandals will break in shortly and I can experience the benefit.

While we were waiting there were two people in front of us using the machine on their own. There was no one from the store helping them. I assumed I could do the same(use the machine). I even asked the people if they were done. When I was asking my husband to take his shoes off a person on my back told me "NO, YOU DO NOT DO THAT" I turned around and told him there was nobody there and the other people were using it. He told me with a hash tone I HAVE TO HELP YOU. I literally thought he was going to tell me to help me understand the results of the machine. The only thing he did was press start and he LEFT. HE LEFT without an explanation or NOTHING. I felt like a person being joked by a selfish guy. NO One in the store said anything. We turned around and left. I took a picture of the people that were at the store and only white people were being helped . I'm sorry but I have to say it, there are stores that are very racist and this is one of them. Customer service is the worst :(

As soon as we start the conversation Jedd has this immediate disinterest in assisting me. When I asked him about what type of tie he would recommend with this suit or if I can wear the suit without a tie, his response is: "That decision should have been made months ago before even buying this suit." Okay...? I don't have a time machine to go back and do that and more importantly YOU ARE THE EXPERT, hence why I made an appointment with you to get your opinon. I brush it off and try on the suit. There is an issue with how the pants fit and when I bring this up to Jedd he replies condescendingly "Well when you make alterations to the pants that's what happens." Not only is this extremely poor customer service by Jedd/ poor people skills- he doesn't account for the fact that such consequences of alterations was never relayed to me. He doesn't try to make the situation any better on his own accord and at this point I am about through with dealing with him and his attitude. The cherry on top was when I asked him to set me up with an appointment for SUNDAY at 1pm (As I was busy on Saturday) with my original Suit Supply consultant (Cedric- who was amazing btw). And instead of scheduling me for Sunday, Jedd carelessly scheduled me for Saturday. A mistake of his I didn't catch until I got home and had to keep calling the store to fix as Cedric didnt even have any availability on Sunday. Thankfully Sunday morning, after my 4th phone call to the store, I was able to get the correct appointment. All in all this was an awful experience and probably my last with Suit Supply. If Suit Supply can't employ folks who have the smallest shred of understanding, empathy, communication than they will continue to lose more and more customers. I have had other folks comment the same about Jedd and his smug attitude, its a shame for a store who's customers deserve better
