Today, my husband and I celebrated our 13th anniversary and after leaving the resort from An awesome weekend, we stopped by Nordstrom Rack to pass some time. We browsed the designer glasses, but despite being clearly interested, no one approached us. Meanwhile, two associates assisted a Korean couple and greeted a white woman. Only when my husband gave one of the associates a stern look did she finally approach us, asking curtly if we wanted to see something. No greeting or friendly demeanor. Given the year is 2025, it's disappointing to experience such microaggressions. Nordstrom Rack, consider hiring staff who provide better customer service at this location. read more

This Nordstrom Rack has a large variety of clothing and sales. Their suit section wasn't huge and they had very few tuxes, but their shoe section made up for it. They have hard-to-find men's large shoe sizes, including many options of shoes in sizes 13-15. read more

I just realized that like 80% of all my work clothes has come from this awesome NR. Super friendly and nice staff- great selection- A-mazing prices. I was searching on one of my favorite designers website and I found that their clothing was carried at Nordstrom Rack so I raced over to check this location out for the first time. There's a huge parking lot with ample parking. I arrived about an hour before closing, this location is fairly good sized. I arrived at the suit and sport coat section some of the sizes were not placed behind The proper size indicator on the rack. But I understand with the amount of shoppers and reduced staff they may not be able to keep up proper placement. I found a sport coat and purchased it I am very happy with the my new sport coat! The store was nice, neat and orderly. checkout process was very smooth and they take Apple Pay. Although the store is big the men's section is not as big as others that I've been in. read more

We received a Nordy gift card for our wedding so we decided to come and check them out and see what they have on sale. They had a few racks that were an extra 50-70% off the sale price which was a great deal. I was able to get a water bottle for my sister, a very comfortable bath robe, a purse, a few shirts and shorts for less than 70 bucks! What a steal!!! Their sales associates were also very helpful and even talked my husband into getting a Nordy credit card that gave us an extra $20 credit. Discount items with clearance sections? I can't get enough of it. Women's center section is a little less organized in the back, and only the truly patient will find items misplaced in the wrong size section. I also don't fully agree with the dress sorting, but I'm happy this place exists. Women's fitting room on the right as you come in, and one of the staff members there is prone to asking customers to join the email list. I rarely spend much time in a store unless it's a thrift shop, yet I killed two hours here while waiting for traffic to clear up. The inventory here reflects the value of combing through the items, some of the best deals are in single supply. I wasn't particularly thrilled about the jewelry, though I saw a few good pieces that would work well for other people. Bags were less than impressive this go, but I saw a lambskin jacket I'd been eyeballing at Nordstrom last year. Markdowns are pretty sweet. Leggings and Spanx on the cheap are nice, but be sure to inspect everything closely for size notations. Shoe display format is interesting, they rack up the right half of each available pair by size. Nothing much in the way of career pieces, so seek out high volumes of suit separates elsewhere. I picked up a few things and sorted out some Nordstrom card issues while I was here; I can see myself coming back every few months. read more

Being a bit of a label whore, this is my absolute "GO TO" store for just about everything from workout clothes to ball gowns at affordable prices! There haven't been many times that I've left without a jem of a purchase. The annual dress sale has held me hostage for hours on end..... Helpful are check out options when paying by credit. Most roaming employees carry mobile devices to ring up for quick service. Given that the store is a subsidiary of Nordstrom, the service is typically on point. In the numerous years of shopping here, I've only had only a couple of not so nice experiences. I addressed them both with management and they both were resolved immediately. ** Please bring back the Groupon deals, they were GOLD!! read more

Very clean, well organized, and friendly. Withholding two stars because I needed to get measured for a dress shirt, as I haven't for well over a decade. I went to the alterations department to get measured. "15 1/2 collar, 34-35 sleeves," I was told. I was also told that I could get a slim fit. The latter statement I dismissed out of hand; I'm not slim, period. The former statement I took at face value, as this was a professional measurer. I know I used to be in the neighborhood of a 17" collar, but I've lost weight since the last time I bought a shirt, so I figured maybe that came down. Again, trusted the pro. I had the kids with me, so I resorted to my "buy now, return of I don't like it" plan. I bought shirts based on the size the professional recommended. They wouldn't even button. I could barely get my hands through the cuffs. A trip to Jos. A Banks later revealed me to be a 17 1/2 and 35 1/2. What I get for hitting the discount store. read more

Warning to potential customers regarding sales reps asking you to sign up for the Nordstrom credit card. Back in early October, Sales rep mentioned I would see a certain amount deducted from my first transaction/sales ($20 or $40) after spending a certain amount and signing up for the Nordstrom credit card. Instead I received a $40 coupon in the mail. The sales pitch was misleading and fraudulent. Certainly my last time giving business to Nordstrom and proceed with cancelling my account with Nordstrom. read more

The lady at the clothing try-on section is a nasty and rude woman. I explained I sat the card on the ledge after she yelled at me 3 times! Disgusting and on top of that she wanted to talk to other costumers about how I was "stupid" and "incapable". She would not stop talking shit until I had to yell at her to shut the fuck up. She has no professional skills and is lucky I'm a non confrontational person because any other person would've caused a scene the way she was acting. Also, put my clothing back and refused to buy anything since the costumer service skills are lacking on a new level. My husband and I were followed around this store by this woman who assumed we were shoplifting. I will attach her photo. No matter where we went, she would be within 10 feet of us picking things up and putting them back in the same spot, pretending to be straightening. It started in Christmas decorations, then she followed us to the men's department. While my husband shopped I watched her to see if she was really working or just watching my husband. She was just watching my husband. Mind you we were dressed nice. We just left church. I do not appreciate being treated in such a manner. We dropped everything that was in our cart and left. How could you not be madly in love with Nordstrom Rack? As a former Nordstrom employee, I have taken a strong liking to this place due to the excellent prices for the Nordstrom quality items I have grown to LOVE. Contemporary denim (7 For all Mankind, Citizens of Humanity, Joes, True Religion, Paige, etc), tons of Juicy, shoes galore, handbags, excellent jewelry and accessories, dresses, coats, etc. Everything you can find in a Nordstrom store and then some. Some items are purchased in bulk specifically for Nordstrom rack. You can find everything in this store for much better prices. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with the merchandise...once items in the full line stores go on sale past 60%, they are sent to the rack stores. I come in here when I'm feeling adventurous and I do not mind trying a lot of clothes on...because I usually make several trips to the fitting room each time I'm there. I almost always walk out with something, sometimes I walk out with a lot of stuff. So take my advice on this one: don't go when you're feeling short on cash because you could get yourself into trouble! I really enjoy shopping at this particular location...I've been to so many of them all around the country while traveling, and this is my favorite location. It's always very neat and organized and there is always a ton of stuff. And a personal tip of mine--last time I checked, they received shipment on Tuesdays and Thursdays...so if you're looking for the best items, you should work those days into your schedule. Got some great finds yesterday. I have been shopping here for a few years now, but hadn't though to yelp it till now. Hit this place with my sister, just to help her find some shoes...Umm, yeah...that's what I told myself coming in... I ended up trying on the MAX limit of clothing items, which was 15. This location is nicer and has a better selection than the one in Fairfax, and was able to score a great dress over 75% off, a Tory Burch blouse on sale and clearanced, as well as try on a couple St. John's pieces at about 80% off. There were some fab shoes in my size I refrained from. The only issue I encountered, for which I didn't give it 5***** was the check out lady was moody and frowned when I asked her if I could keep the clothes hung and placed in a garment bag...boo on her. Overall though, I was and am still a fan...glad I don't live close it the place, it would be dangerous! read more

I love Nordstrom Rack, and I was excited when I found out that there was one here, but this location is horrible. When I go to a regular Nordstrom Rack, I usually end up with bags and bags of clothes, but I couldn't find anything here! The only good deal I found was on some Calvin Klein underwear, but I wasn't completely confident that they hadn't been previously worn, so I didn't get anything. Nordstrom Rack is usually much nicer than this. The one in the Potomac Mills Mall is way, way better. read more

I really like this store. They had a great sale for Black Friday so our whole family went. It wasn't chaotic at all, but it was still very busy. They had a few racks that were on sale on top of the discounted price which seemed like the popular choice among the crowds. The bathrooms were kind of clean. There was a lady that was trying to clean up the stalls as customers seemed to just throw toilet paper around the floors. The soap was empty but the lady was trying to get it filled while people were coming in and out. Not too bad and all three stalls seemed to be functional which is a plus so you don't have to wait around too long for your turn. The lines to the check out was extremely long, but went pretty quickly considering the amount of people who were in line. The cashier was very friendly and sweet and even sweet talked my husband into opening a new card. It was a win-win since I got to shop some more items and we were able to get an extra discount! Awesome deal. One little side note, the cashier, Erica, forgot to put a couple of our items in the bag so we had to come back and get it but they were able to locate it and get them to us when we came back. Hong, the master seamstress and alterations lady was really good! I took a designer dress that I purchased while visiting Seattle and Hong's work on hemming the dress was excellent! I picked it up today and it was done really well. I had an alteration done at the normal Nordstrom in the Dulles Store but the hem job of the Alteration team there was a bit crooked so it was refreshing that Hong at the Nordstrom Rack did a much better job! As a result, I brought back another favorite designer dress that needed a bit of alteration to Hong because I trust that she would do a good job. Without knowing Hong's abilities, I was almost compelled to return this dress even though I liked it so much because it just did not look right and Hong saved the day! I can't wait to pick it up next week once alteration is completed. For now, I just want to give a shout to Hong and Nordstrom! Kodus! read more

I go here on a weekly basis. It's usually hit or miss, but if you go often enough you can walk away with a load of good designer stuff. The store is clean, organized, staff is friendly, but it is smaller than the other Nordstrom Racks in the VA area. The shoe section people will call you back if they cannot find the other shoe right away. Great selections for baby items, purses, women's clothes, and men's clothes as well. Although, I think the boy toddler selection is very low. I always find loads of designer dresses and shoes for over 75% off retail price. This is my one-stop shop for my kid, husband, and myself on a weekly basis. There's ample parking and it's just a quick stop if you don't want to go through the crowds across the street at Dulles Mall. read more

Quality of clothing has gone down in last couple of years. It's difficult to find designer clothing that is worth purchasing. Use to be the rack would have lots of designer shoes and clothing to choose from. Now looks like a JC Penny store selection wise. I am into diesel , 7 mankind , Italian designer shoes hardly none exist at The Rack anymore . I believe change in managers has allot to do with lack of designer goods. Came here after I couldn't find earmuffs at Macys and no one knew what I was talking about. Found 2 pairs of nice Uggs earmuffs and they came in nice little hat boxes, happy with my purchase and buying higher end products without paying more. The cashiers and the floor attendant was nice. I really love Nordstrom Rack! Great prices, great brands, awesome selections, especially on high end items. This by far is my favorite location over the Springfield, Tysons and Annapolis stores. There are always great clearance deals and I love the "off the rack" summer sales. Also, they have a great system setup to avoid long lines. You can grab any team member from the floor and have them ring you up at one of the various cashier stations in the store. How awesome is that?! I rarely ever stand in line, I just someone and bypass the madness. Most people don't know that service is offered. I do however wish the dress selection here was better. I feel like it's gotten worse over the years. read more

I love Nordstrom Rack. You can find some really great deals here. I think the prices could be a bit better in the "mark down" sections, but all in all if you want a good deal you really have to search. Waiting for a cashier can take a bit longer than normal. At times, people who are just returning an item can skip a head to be helped even though several customers who are just checking out an item have to wait even longer. They should definitely change that. I hate how instead of having a pair of shoes out, they have one shoe out to prevent shoplifting I guess. But that is just so lame. IMO. They don't do that in Utah at all....and there are shoplifting issues in Utah! They need to just put alarm tags on everything and cut out the ghettoness. But all in all I love it there so anywho. read more

I would always head to this location because it had really good high end brands for less. The day I saw associates rummaging over a cart full of Burberry handbags and setting them aside for themselves was strike one. Since that day I've noticed they no longer have as many high end brands. Which only makes me believe that the associates pick over everything then put what they don't want out on the floor. I say this only because I've seen the associates setting things aside for themselves on numerous other occasions. Today I came in looking for a pair of earrings. They were locked up at the front of the store where they have more expensive jewelry displayed. An associate (who always gives me an attitude when I am rung up by her), was standing by the entrance greeting everyone. She noticed that I needed assistance but didn't bother to call anyone. Even though she had a headset on. Another associate noticed and only asked if a handbag that was on the counter was mine and just walked away. I waited for no joke another 10 minutes. Fed up, I see another associate walking by, I asked her 3 times (to the point where I had to raise my voice because she didn't hear me. Even though I could touch her arm from how close we were) if anyone could assist me. Finally someone comes, and I get my earrings. I then decide to browse the shoe section. I find a pair of boots that I like and notice that one of them is marked at a lower price, even though they are the same brand/size/color. I asked the gentleman (who was nice) in the shoe department if I would get the shoe for the lowest price. He checked it and it rung up for another price that wasn't even labeled on either shoe. But he said the associate at the front will price adjust it to the lowest price that is marked. (Even though they were the same shoe one of them fit better). When I get to the front counter the woman scanned the first boot with the higher price I told her that I spoke with the associate in the shoe section and he said that she could adjust it. She said no it was priced incorrectly. SO THAT'S MY FAULT? Long story short, she (so happily...not) changed it. I'm not asking to be catered to when I enter the store. But is it really that hard to not give me an attitude and act like you're happy that I'm spending my money there?? There are only TWO associates that never give me an attitude. Why is that?? Also, if a particular price is marked on your merchandise and I want to purchase it. Why must I be told that it was marked incorrectly and therefore I can't buy it for the price that another associate put on said item? Just change the price. There isn't a need for me to have to convince you that it needs to be changed. read more

Wow this location is small and busy, I had to return a sweater that I discovered was ripped and the line was 4 deep. It did move relatively quickly but for 11:30 in the morning it was not what I expected. After my return I decided to shop around and went to check out the shoes, the selection was seriously lacking and this department was even busier than the cash wrap. I did find one pair of sandals and worked my way back to the front to pay for them. I personally like the Fairlakes location better for the selection and ease of shopping over this location. read more

I was blown away by this store today! I used to live in Seattle (Nordstrom's hometown) and the Rack stores there were HELL - - too much stuff crammed in the racks, thrown on top of the racks, dropped on the floor under the racks. The line waiting to check out snaked to 20 or 30 people and took soooo long. I HATED those stores and visited each once and never again! This store was ..... so different from those!!!! It was organized, orderly and clean! There was a guy standing at the head of the checkout line with a mouth-mic who summoned a roving "floor person" (who was busy organizing the racks) to check you out if you were using credit or debit. OMG - - what a breakthrough in customer service!!! Well, the whole point was to find a great handbag. Got a $398 Kate Spade black leather tote for $187 including tax. Gorgeous!
