I was in desperate need to use the facilities. Funny thing is I didn't even mean to come here. I put in my GPS what I thought was going to be at a different area altogether. But when I pulled in here, I wasn't mad. Visiting a mall early in the morning is weird. It is mostly deserted. No stores open. Almost completely void of people except those in here doing their jobs. Kind of gives you the 'Dawn of the Dead' vibe, like you are one of the only survivors left in the world. Odd to say, but almost peaceful. This mall seems to be doing fairly well. I did not see many vacancies. Which is great, and almost always the case in this area. This mall feels vast. The layout feels like you need to know exactly what you are getting in here, or set aside time to allow you to freely wander in here. My stop, to use the facilities, took a bit longer than I expected. I have never been here before, and this was not a good thing. I ended up parking in what I thought was the middle of the mall, however, not knowing where the restrooms were, I ended up walking for a while. What was interesting was when I did finally find the restrooms, if I would have used one of the other entrances nearby, it would have been a much quicker stop. But I wouldn't have had the zombie vibe. read more

What is going on with this town center? I'm so disappointed that this nearby mall has nothing to visit. The only reason we visit is to walk the empty mall after a large meal at the Cheesecake Factory. My most recent disappointment is the closure sign at the Starbucks. Sometimes I stop in during the holidays to purchase from the See's Candy pop up. There's a new entertainment center that had laser tag, bowling and other games. I think this is a decent mall. This mall has a few department stores such as Macy's and JC Penney. It also has the usual suspects you find in malls like Victoria's Secret, Hot Topic, Foot Locker, H&M, and Miniso, to name a few. It's a very big mall. Shops are closing and the food option is limited. Besides going for a few things like the great and amazing mind game store with a lot of board games, and the other board game store on the lower level and the hobby shop boba hero, not much too it. The sushi king and the new bowling alley that's coming is a start in the right direction and I can't wait to see where the new owner takes it next. read more

The other day I took a stroll and saw such a eccentric conglomerate of businesses in the town center: A huge art gallery, a huge store for black friday deals, a tattoo parlor, a great escape (room), to name a few. Yikes what happened to this place!!!Haven't been here for years since Nordstrom and Lord and Taylor left. It used to be such a beautiful mall, and now It's run down and about 20 percent of stores are blacked out and closed. It's not quite the zombie apocalypse , but it's getting there. Great things are here if you just look around. Buy a watch to keep track of time. Or experience the bumber cars in store you should find. Need some time after Starbuck you see. Get a manicure and pedicure at the first nail shop you see. I might do some waxing the next time I am here. There's always something at Dulles Town Center to Cheer. If it weren't for Macys and the Mexican restaurant Las Toltecas i would truly never come to this mall. It's unfortunately one of the malls that you can truly see and feel the demise of brick and mortar stores and despite them attempting to be creative in new concepts in the mall (such as a live lizard farm and a community kitchen), it just doesn't do the job. And although I mentioned that the Macys is one of 2 establishments that keeps me occasionally coming here, the Macys is actually extremely sad and nothing compared to the Macys in Tyson's from a selection and customer service standpoint. read more

Terrible mall, just go the extra distance to Tysons. Half of the stores are closed on a Saturday afternoon. The carpet on the walkway should've been replaced a decade ago, it smells like very strong body odor on the entire upstairs floor of the mall. I don't think people actually come here to shop, it's just an open area for their screaming kids to run around. We walked around for a few hours and couldn't find one thing worth buying. This mall is just aiiite. Once you step in, you will see that there are many vacant spots that look like they'll stay vacant. The businesses that filled some of the vacant spots also don't look like they'll last either You have your main shops like H&M, Victoria's Secret, Express, Forever21, Hot Topic here, but nothing more to look at other than those basic stores. I honestly mainly come here to return stuff from online shopping if I absolutely can't wait for a mail in return. My favorite parts about the mall though are that it has a Popeyes and a Chick Fil-A lol. If they converted the mall into a nice town center like One Loudoun, I think it would bring in a ton more traffic! read more

It's actually a nice, big mall with a movie theater on site. It's a shame there's so many closed stores. The outskirts of the property (a big circle) is littered with closed down restaurants. There's a nice Christmas display set up and a train that runs around the bottom floor. It's usually pretty busy too which surprises us about how many closed restaurants there are. Hit up Los Toltecos, the Mexican food is great! read more

It's kind of sad that malls are becoming a thing of the passed, mostly due to Amazon and the internet. This mall is no exception, as a couple of the huge anchor stores were vacant, the parking lot was mostly bare on a Saturday and there wasn't much to see or do here. It's a mall. I appreciate the food options around Dulles Town Center and it's not too far from where we live. We enjoy walking around and getting some steps in. They have a decent variety at their food court. Starbucks, Kung Fu Tea, and Panda Tea House are some of the highlights in here for us. Whenever we have visited, it has been quite empty. A lot of stores have closed down. It is a clean and spacious mall. Security guards are awesome and do a great job keeping us all safe. Restrooms could be cleaner. read more

This is a new hubbub of yuppie. This mall has grown, and now supposedly also includes nearby buildings. It's their right, but this review is for the mall. They have a Dicks Sporting Goods and a Macys. That works for me. Also they have the usual Abercrombie, Bath and Body Works, and overpriced coffee shops. I will give them credit, as the Cheesecake Factory is awesome. The JC Penny's is reminding me of Sears before it went belly up. Malls need to get creative, including this one, or they'll be remnants of the past. This mall is a decent place, but there's nothing that really sets it apart. On a positive note it's less busy than Tysons, and there are a few decent restaurants. Yet I go here only as necessary. read more

I like to shop early so was here at 7am. The store had much freight on the floor and it very hard to maneuver down aisles with all the vendors and stickers. Sadly no one spoke to me through the whole store visit as the employees were zoning and sticking but no customer interaction. This mall is pretty lame It has "named brand" stores but it's still a ghost town. Whoever shops for these stores sucks. I have been to this mall multiple times with my girlfriends ‍ ready to blow money but we couldn't find anything. This is NOT the mall you can run to for a last minute outfit. Might as well drive another 20 minutes and go to Tysons. I can come here to redeem my Bath and Body Works and Victoria Secrets coupons but that's pretty much it. Oh yeah and Torrid. read more

It feels to visit and review a shopping mall, since they've been kind of dying out even before COVID hit. I was in the area and wanted to grab a bite at a food court and to walk around on a Saturday evening. Pulling up, you could see empty spaces where some anchor department stores used to be -- not uncommon for malls these days. Not all the food court stalls were operating, so I don't know if they closed early or are out of business. The food court is near a kids' play area, so keep that in mind. Just grabbed a spinach stromboli and lemonade at Sbarro and then walked around. I guess they let the stores decide when to close because it wasn't consistent -- some had closed earlier and some were still open. I guess this is a draw for people who live nearby but I didn't necessarily see any really unique stores here. It is a large mall so at least I got my steps in. read more

This is a shell of what it used to be. Nordstrom, Lord & Taylor, Gap, Abercrombie, Old Navy, Banana Republic are now gone. Brand name stores are getting replaced with other vendors with nothing to draw you there really instead of other area malls. Personally I'd save the time and drive on up to Tysons or go to Leesburg Corner if you want the mall experience. Hopefully they'll be able to bring this one back to life but right now it's not looking good. read more

UPGRADE EVERYTHING from the cafeteria add and expand for restaurants and update it and plus bulid another level and have more DAMB BATHROOMS on every level and make it like TYSONS CONOR MALL seriously! Add more 21 Century technology to bathrooms and elevators and escalators plus stores and plus build a better safer parking lot and upgrade it too!! IT IS DAMN TIME HIRE HIRE a more staff for every store and restaurant and etc plus PUT THE Emergency place right in the center and more of them all over the mall so that in case anyone gets hurt or anything they can go to the desk etc and hire more security guards plus more security driving all over the place outside of the mall no one listens still does it drops people off at the front of the mall. Plus make the mall more efficient for those with disabilities and seniors in every store and cafeteria should be equipped with everything for people with disabilities and seniors! COME ON TIME NOW UPDATES NOW INSIDE a and OUT OF THE MALL!! Paint the outside bright color of the mall and change the doors to something different light and not heavy and etc. Add more crazy and wild thing rides that can go inside of the mall plus have real ballets be at the mall doing the nutcracker etc and swan lake etc all of there ballers they do all year long real artists we hear on the radio at the mall doing performances and causes that go to them also at the concerts etc!! I do love the Dulles Towne Center. I wish it was a bit larger and had a few more stores that some of the other malls offer...but generally I like it. I like how all the kids stores I like are right near each other as well as the kids playground. Carousel is always fun for kids. Every time we go there, they like to go on it. Macy's , Nordstrom's , JCPenny and Sears are all anchor stores for the mall. read more

An amazing luxury mall located in the spacious and sparse Dulles forests/plains. It is a massive complex sprawling in every which direction and yet the entire mall has a distinctive, cozy, and upbeat feel to it. What stood out to me the most about this mall was its artistic design in its walkways which feature what I can best describe as an 'Old London streetlamps' style throughout the entire mall and gives it truly an elegant feel I've not encountered in any other mall. The mall also is extraordinarily clean with lots of great community places to sit, relax, and enjoy. The food court even feels elevated and distinct. A really good mall if you're looking for something a bit less crowded and more calming than Tyson's Corner Center in the Eastern Northern Virginia area. read more

The potential is there but the retail options are limited. It's definitely not vibrant and full of options like Tyson's. However, if you live near Ashburn, Leesburg, Herndon etc then it's convenient to shop here. The stores are limited and the mall itself is not that big. Some department stores include Macys, Nordstrom, Sears etc. The small stores are blah. This mall is good if you don't like super crowded malls. It has never been a truly memorable experience while shopping here but I do go there for a quick shop since it's near my parents house. I do like the indoor play area, train ride and carousel for children. My niece had a great time with me at the mall due to that. They could improve the hours of operation for it. Sometimes they are closed when they say they are supposed to be open. Overall, if you are taking children, they will enjoy it. read more

Love the fact that security actually enforces the rules here for the playground. If the kids are too old, the security guy comes in and kicks them out. I was reaching hard for free opportunities for my 13 month old while I was off work, and he was out of daycare, for two weeks over the holidays. I read that DTC had a play area, a train, and a carousel so I bit the bullet on a Friday and made the 45 minute drive. Would I do it again? Maybe, not for the stores (of which I only visited two-a candy store and Bath &Body Works) since they are the standard "mall stores" but my son thoroughly enjoyed the play area, the train, and the carousel. We spent a couple hours in the play area which is Nats/baseball theme. It was quite crowded and I can only imagine the craziness of a Saturday or Sunday. The carousel is $2 per ride. If you're standing with your child you don't have to pay. I 110% affirm the reviews that mention the mean ticket taker at the carousel who should absolutely not be in customer service let alone have any exposure to children. The train is on the lower level and is $3 per rider. Two things that would drastically improve this mall: cleaner bathrooms and more than one elevator. Food court is semi-respectable mainly because of Chic-fil-a....I imagine the food court is deserted on Sundays. read more

I am a big fan of game stop I buy all my stuff from them. They have a handful of staff that are priceless. And they rotate around the locations. And they are the best employees. But the rest of them new faces that I have seen this weekend was just sad. I visited two of them this weekend. But this location took the cake. I purchased 2 games. And when I got home. I opened the box and there were no game inside. Wow $59 for a invisible game is a bit much. Hey at list it will never get scratched. So I had to go back to the store and pick up the disk. Nice going guys. I must say the sterling location is way better. Most of the superstar sales team work there who has a bunch of knowledge and so ready to serve you with a smile and humors. I like this mall for it's customer diversity. Great people watching and everyone I saw seemed to be either with a family or a friend. It's nice to see the look of happiness in people's faces even if they aren't smiling outright. The mall itself is a bit old feeling on the inside. In the stores, it's bright and clean but the mall itself seems a bit underwhelming. There's a good variety of stores. I would think anyone that comes in should at least be able to find 3 stores they enjoy. The food court. Well.....not going there anymore. Look. I know roaches are pretty much everywhere but I don't want to see them when I'm eating. I sat at the long bar table with the tall chairs. It was in the middle of the food court....I finished eating and stood up and there he was! Oh my gosh, I was pissed. It was on my chair! It could have gotten in my coat and ended up in my house. All those kids playing in the middle of the food court rolling on the floor.....all the people with their coats and purses sitting around....now I'm just picturing roaches crawling all over that stuff. Ugh. I wanted to puke. Sorry. I can't do it. No roaches. No. Ruined my whole experience. I've been here a couple times and it's possible one day I could wind up here again for whatever reason but now I will always picture roaches on everything I look at in here. read more

This is a mall that has half gone out of business. The highlights of the mall are Macy's, Nordstrom, banana republic, Victoria's Secret, Godiva and express. The rest of the stores I could care less about...and the food court is almost pathetic, only about 8 options. I would suggest sarku or chick fil a. They are currently building a huge movie theatre that is attached to the mall which will be nice. read more
