One day that time for repairs came around. When I first noticed some water under the sink I didn't think much of it, but when it continued to be there the next day I called Bailey Plumbing. Keith was very professional over the phone and came over the same day I called. He took one look under the sink and explained exactly what was happening and gave me an breakdown of what would need to be changed as well as an estimation of time and cost for the work. He also explained to me that while this will fix this issue i am currently having, there were some other problems which he suggested be addressed now otherwise it would not be a matter of if there are issues in the future but when. He was happy to explain it to me as precise as possible in order to help my understanding of the situation. All said and done I was extremely pleased with the level of service which was provided by Bailey Plumbing, and have now have full peace of mind that my kitchen plumbing will last as long as it possibly can with out any worries. I had the appointment on Monday morning but I did not hear from them, the Friday before, the exact time window and not after I called them Monday morning. They were supposed to be open at 7:30 and I left a message to be called back. I called a few times later because 8:15-9am was the slot they discussed with me. I waited and waited and when I called after 9am I finally got somebody to answer and they told me that they knew on Friday that they had no slot for me, did not bother to notify me and she talked about September. Can you imagine this? I was livid and told them that I don't want to deal with them ever again. If you are reading this, stay away from these guys.

Called for a main line clean out based upon a Google search and a $69 clean out special. Matt told me that my main sewer line had collapsed. Bad news. Worse was that it was under the slab in my house. They wanted to take out my bathroom vanity, jack hammer through the floors in my bathroom. Through the slab. Dig down, tunnel, and replace a 6' section of pipe. Fill it back in, and repair the concrete. That's a lot of really destructive work. Because I'm a first time customer, and a AAA member, they offered me a 15% discount on the flat rate project. Price came down to about $5,400. They had on the spot financing from Wells Fargo, and they could start on Sunday. Based upon my knowledge of how much things should cost (hourly rates for a plumber) vs. the cost for labor (they proposed tearing through the concrete), the price seemed astronomically high. But plausible. I asked him to send the quote and financing via email which he said he'd do, though it never arrived. I decided to call some friends and get a 2nd opinion. I'm glad I cooled my jets and took my time because it was all a SCAM. Another plumber came (won't give his name) and did a camera scope. The pipe is fine. Not all cast iron (I was told it was) - clay + some ABS plastic, and while there were some tree roots, the problem was that there was a ton of paper towels and other objects clogging things up. He was able to move the masses and the entire system flowed. Boom - just like that. Minutes. So - no collapse. No need to destroy my bathroom or jack hammer. Just the need to do the job these guys were hired for. Matt can't be trusted. Don't let these guys near your house. Really a shame as they give the good ones a bad name.

Instead of him immediately trying to sell me a new water heater, Scott took the time to explain to me over the phone how to measure/test the thermocouple (since I have an electronics background myself). After testing, he and I both agreed that it made no sense to install a new thermostat on such an old water heater so I had his crew install a new one that they recommended. I was happy to talk with such a plumbing service, that would at least try at first to help me get the old unit working which demonstrated to me their integrity, honesty, and sincere desire to help. I was therefore very satisfied that installing a new water heater was the best decision. For the second job of just recently unclogging my mother's kitchen drain pipe, their worker did a fine job of assessing the situation and utilizing the proper tools to effectively solve the problem. Within about 15 minutes, Javier, the owner, was at my home to check out the problem. He quickly determined that the faucet had developed an internal leak and needed to be replaced. I purchased a new faucet and called Javier back this morning to let him know I had it. Within about 30 minutes, two of his workers arrived to install it. They were professional, efficient, careful with their work, and did an excellent job. The new faucet was installed properly, everything was cleaned up, and the problem is completely solved.
