Can't give enough stars for these guys! Got a visit from the gas company about a leaky line and got shut off on a Tuesday evening. Not fun when you have 3 small kids and no hot water! Left a message for Larry and he was at my house first thing the following morning, he did some inspection, found the issue ( which meant replacing an awkward length of gas line under my driveway). He quoted it pretty much on the spot, the price was very fair for the work involved. He explained everything and laid out what the issues and possible pitfalls were. His son came out the following day and got the new line laid in a few hours, no digging of the driveway required! The job was exceptionally clean and fast and done to the highest standards (I have a family background in construction and know good work when I see it). Gas company were back out a few hours later (Thursday) and gas service was back up and running. The gas company tech even commented on how good the quality of the work was. Hot water (and stove and heating) restored within 48 hours of being shut off, considering the amount of work that had to be done, that's a damn fine turn around time. Kids fed an clean again. Don't trust the reviews on Fish Eye Leak Detection, they are probably his friends. We hired Larry to do a leak test on our pool and when he came out to our house he spent around 3 hours and I was charged close to $1,000 and didn't find the leak. What was even more shocking is that there was a 4 foot long crack under the waterfall which was VERY VERY viable especially when he was in the pool looking for leaks. He spent most of his time TALKING and trying to convince me that he needed to do more testing (which in essence means giving him more money). The sad part I'm sure he saw the large crack but took advantage of me and decided not to say or identify the crack until I authorized him to keep looking for the leak. My husband found the leak by just tilting his head under the waterfall and it was extremely visible to the naked eye. And if Larry says he didn't see it, then what kind of professional is he to begin with? See the attached pictures and tell me for yourself if you cannot see the cracks! Be careful using him as he is very dishonest and only cares about taking the most money he can. Ironically, he will spend 30 to 45 mins convincing you of his fees and trying to justify why he charges so much and talking while he is charging you! The other thing you MUST be aware of is Larry will tell you his "man-hour rate" but he doesn't tell you that he will show up with an extra employee and charge you DOUBLE the MAN HOURS! BE AWARE AND BE CAUTIOUS as I do not want anyone to be taken advantage of like what happened to us. We will NEVER use Fish Eye Leak as he is VERY dishonest and please use this review and PROOF OF MY pictures so you can judge for yourself. He said we needed to get a leak detection company to find it. We talked to a couple. All except Fisheye gave us times of more than two weeks to schedule the work. Larry of Fisheye was very professional and very responsive. He came to our home within a day and found the leak within an hour by pressurizing the line with hydrogen. He also offered to fix the leak by replacing the line with a new one, but the bid seemed high, so I decided to get some other bids from some other plumbers. Let me start be saying that I have successfully performed my own pool equipment maintenance, modifications and updates since 1974. Recently, I encountered a problem that baffled even me. My pump was "starving" for water and would not "prime." I could tell, from the sight gauges, that the pump was sucking air on the intake side of my system.
