they only got 2 stars because the servers were very friendly and apologetic for my sons meal. Only facts here. ordered chickens tenders and wings I asked extra crispy, i had my coke replace with water because no carbonation. Tenders came out before wings but only because she had the cook fry another order because they were not crispy , but still not crispy. Tenders were so bland and tasteless my son said he would just eat the fries, which he couldn't eat as well, took a bite of both, the fries tasted like old grease and the chicken tasted like fish. when she asked me how it was, I politely told her it was not good and told her so she could tell the kitchen staff so they are aware of it. never asked to take anything off the check, nor did she offer. while Getting in the car the manager came out and asked was there a problem with my food? So, I again told her the same thing.... Immediately she became defensive and proceeded to tell me how she changes the oil and the batter is separate from the fish and I was wrong...and I was the first one to complain about their food. Well, maybe I was the first one to speak up? Usually when people have a bad meal, they just don't come back, that would be me, but I really wanted this place to work because it is so close to us and wanted to give them constructive criticism. Walked in this past Saturday just as the UGA game was wrapping up. Despite all the people paying and getting ready to head home, my server, Angie, made sure I had a beer while she took care of the other folks as they were leaving. Angie gave me excellent service and checked back frequently to make sure I had what I needed. In addition, the Mango Habanero wings were on point! Giving a 1 because I can't give it a O!! Went there a few nights ago and the service was GOD AWFUL!!! It was the owners daughter wearing sweat pants and crocks. We waited over a hour for the food and it had a lot to be desired and when we said something about it, so proceeded to COMPLAIN ABOUT US TO THE GUY SITTING AT THE BAR!!!!!! We asked for the check (granted we ate NOTHING but paid for our meal with no complaints). As we went to leave she shouted "SOME PEOPLE ARE SO RUDE!!" Walked in on a Sunday afternoon, 3:15 or so, absolutely no wait! (Only 1 other couple in the place) Hubby order lemon pepper boneless wings and fries, I Ordered 10 wings, 1/2 BBQ-1/2 teriyaki (extra crispy) and rings. Order came out with fries, so another few minutes to get the rings. Should have stuck with the fries, the rings were just too (!!!!) greasy. My BBQ wings were tasty, teriyaki were average, but neither were extra crispy like I asked for. Hubby said the lemon pepper boneless were nice large pieces, but again, average on taste. I always start off with pro's.. - friendly waitress - pretty quick seating Cons: It was absolutely freezing in there - 45 degrees) according to the thermostat) when it's already 30 outside was ridiculous. - overcooked fries and catfish tho my shrimp was not fried long enough, they tasted warmed up not fresh cooked. - we never got a refill on our water - we were in for a family Christmas get-together and it was a little embarrassing when we bragged on it so much when planning it. I had the 25pce wing combo with fries , half lemon pepper & half garlic Parmesan, it was pretty good and it was open late when some others already closed! My son had a double plain cheeseburger & it was obviously good he ate it , well half , he saved it for later, said he couldn't eat all of it . It looked good over all, I will return to check out some other stuff ! We have been driving past Lucy's on the way to our cabin for a long time and always wanted to stop in and give it a try. We stopped in today on our way back home. We were there a little after 1 pm and sat down. No one ever said hello or anything. We waited 10 minutes and got up and left ! I would suggest that the managers put together some sort of way to welcome customers. The place was not busy at the time. They used to have great wings, but they keep getting smaller and smaller. My husband had several in his order that were the tiniest wings I have ever seen in my life! I wish I had taken a picture, it was just a little over an inch long. Since you are ordering a certain number of wings and since they are now so small, you hardly have enough to eat.
