This is a great place. The Nachos are great - be sure to get it with the Chili. I never waited for a drink refill. On Wednesday night they have Trivia. We had a great time. This places is pretty spread out as it has hightops and a few benches. They also have outdoor seating. The person I was with wanted chicken and waffles which ended up looking like frozen store bought Chechen tenders and two waffles that are definitely not fresh. The Brussels sprouts and the cauliflower "wings" were great but overpriced for the amount. The salad I had came with strawberries that were definitely sour. I also don't eat chicken so I asked for the salad to be plain but came to find out that it didn't matter as the price was the same. I ended up paying close to $80 for a few plates and no drinks. Service was mediocre and ambience is sone here between spots bar and farm style. I can say it was my first and last time trying this place. read more

VERY disappointing "attempt" to eat. They weren't busy, we were seated promptly & perused the menu trying to decide between several promising choices. It's located in a shopping center with not a lot to the decor. Apparently, despite it being basically one big, open dining room, we were seated at an invisible table since servers walked to & fro never saying "boo," "just a minute" or anything. Big fail on service. I hate when you get dumped into a black hole like this. Just say "something" so we know there's hope. We left hungry after ~10 min. (& I don't think anyone noticed that either), so beware. You can probably find a better choice around. read more

We went here for the first time today hoping it wouldn't be crowded because of the NFL playoff games. We caught it between the lunch crowd and the game crowd which started to swarm in right before the game. This place is very clean and has enough parking for its size. We were seated immediately and our server, Randi, came right over to us. She was very good answering questions that we had and patient while we made our selections. She made sure that she had the details of our order right because we were with my brother-in-law and his wife and we were taking home a carryout order. She was so friendly and detail oriented. Randi got our drinks out quickly and the food came out soon after. We ordered wings, quesadillas, a salad for me since I was ordering wings to carry home, and a house special. The food was delicious. Randi got our orders exactly right. She was excellent. We loved this place and highly recommend it. If we didn't live 80+ miles away we would be regulars - and would try to sit where Randi would serve us. read more

This place opens back on July 25th 2022. This was our first time going there. We wanted to give the new business a little time to work out the kinks. With that being said, it has been open for about 2 months now. They had plenty of staff. We were seated right away. We had a nice server. Our drinks, apps and food came out rather quickly. It wasn't a large dining room but it was very spacious. It did not feed crowded in there. The seats, booths and tables were large and very comfortable. They had lots of TVs so if sports is your thing, they were plenty of TVs to view. We did not go outside but it did look like there was plenty of seating outside as well. It also looked like the bar opened up to not only the inside but the outside as well. That was pretty cool. My wife had the fried cheese app and I had the loaded nachos with grilled chicken. They were both really good. The nachos could have been a meal in themselves it was so big. She had the wings and I had the fish and chips. The wings were regular size, not too small, not too big. They were juicy and not overcooked either. My fish was cooked perfectly as well. Fries were ok. We will definitely be back to try some other things sometime. Everything seemed reasonably priced. Nothing seemed overpriced. At night, about every night the parking lot always seems to be packed out. Also, the patio is in a great position, it sits so when they open around noon, it's in the shade, and it stays in the shade during the rest of the afternoon. read more

I think this is a great place to watch a game a grab a beer. Unfortunately that's not what we did. We came for dinner and sat on the patio as inside was full. The service was great, the patio comfortable and the tvs are big and have a great picture. We started with chips and queso which I highly recommend. Comes with or without jalapeños. For dinner I had salmon which came with mashed potatoes and sautéed zucchini. The salmon was overcooked and rubbery, the potatoes were good but were missing something.... A seasoning, gravy, something. My husband had the fish and chips. The chips were fries and the fish was not flaky, but more of a cheaper frozen school variety with a bland taste. We probably won't go back for dinner again, but we will go to watch the last half of a football game and have chips and queso! read more

My husband and I really enjoy this restaurant. We particularly love the salmon. The staff and servers are friendly and pleasant. The one food I would not recommend is a premium side - baked potato. Even on the one occasion that it was served fresh during the dinner hour, they are NEVER hot. It's obvious that leftover potatoes are served the next day. Today, 10/2/24, we ordered the salmon (AMAZING) and baked potatoes. Because of previous experience, I asked the server if she would make sure it was hot. When our entree's came, they were literally cold. The server, very sweet and concerned, took them back to the kitchen. When they came back, we could tell NO change. We gave up as they were recycled anyway. It's hard to support a local restaurant, try to tip well - spending almost $60 for two meals and have a 3rd of your meal inedible. 81 North Kitchen and Tap has so much going for it - such a welcome addition to the community. I honestly thought this place was OK when I first came by the food is I would say 7 out of 10. Not terrible by far... but the reason this is going to be a one star is because of the customer service and the unappreciation for the customer.. (aside from there being flies everywhere at the bar )... I ordered what came out to be (4) slices of green tomatoes for $10.. and then I ordered 10 piece wings for lunch.. I started to eat my wings when I got to the second wing. I realized there was an extremely long piece of hair spread over my wings.... I almost wanted to throw up.. I didn't take a picture because I did not want to put the restaurant on blast for this because we all make mistakes... what came next is what warranted my review.. I was "asked " do I want to replace the wings with something else? But my appetite had been utterly spoiled... I told the waitress, which was apparently the bartender! that I did not want anything else.. I was with a coworker. She proceeded to bring the tab... The fact that they didn't offer any kind of compensation or remediation! ... to still charged me for food after that ! is ridiculous... "replacing food" instead of simply offering a we're sorry, sir! your meal is on us.. Ooor your next meal is on us. It's not about the money. It's about the courtesy and she had none. .. with a terrible attitude and smirk on her face ... she proceeded to try to tell me she had been in service for 20 years.. Last night for dinner my girlfriend and I stopped in to get some food and drinks. We started off with the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls. They were crispy and juicy! Delicious! I ordered the wings hot and had a side of fries. I'm serious about my wings. And these were some of the best I've had in a while. And had a side of inferno sauce. We started going to 81 North back in 2022 when we moved here and this place has been 100% solid every single time and we have been about 50 times since 2022. The food, the staff have always been on point. It is a place where the owners walk around and greet you and get your input and ask you how things are. Nice place to stop by and enjoy the game with a beer or a coke with hot wings to handheld sandwiches. I loved their cheese steak and tater tots. Everything was hot and fresh. Corn beef Reuben was my husband's desire. They serve tap beer to Coke products or of course, water. From Chicken nuggets to Salads, come and enjoy the atmosphere. Went here for the first time tonight. Had the burger with the Korean Pork Belly with the Brussel Sprouts on the side. OMG!!!!! The food was incredible!
