Boneless Lemon Pepper Wings

I stopped in last night to get some food and ordered some boneless lemon pepper wings. There were delicious. The turn around on the order was quick. They staff were very nice and they were all beautiful ladies. I ordered them when celery and ranch dressing. I hope to stop in at some time in the future and have dinner at the restaurant.

Wings are good, service is slow, it takes over 1hr every-time I call to order take out. The ambiance can use a little sprucing up.

I was a fan the minute I walked in this smokey dated joint. The first thing you see when you walk…read moreinto the bar is the bar and an old fashion juke box that i'm sure will steal your quarters. This bar does not try to be anything other than what it is. It's a neighborhood dive and the late night last stop before the 3am waffle house run. I've been going to the bar for a few years now and somehow got adopted by the locals. When I originally showed up in Griffin, I was told to stay away from Kevin's because that's where the KKK, rebel bikers, rednecks, good old boys and hillbillies hangout. Yep! So you can image what I did next? Yep! I drove straight to Kevin's, swung open the door and invited myself to the divest dive of all dives in Griffin. I swear the music stopped and all eyes hit the door and the next thing I heard was oh hell naw! I'm proud to say that I've met some of the best people at Kevin's and made a few new friends. Thank you guys and gals! You know what I love about Kevin's is that everybody is welcome. It's a country and bikers bar for the most part but that don't stop people like me from hanging out and enjoying it. Some of the best bartenders like Christy, Kimberly and JW have come and gone but the vibe is and will always be a cool country rocking bar. The booze is cheap and the drinks are strong. Don't ask for no fancy cocktails or spritzers because they don't serve them so you won't get any. You get a beer or a mix drink , shut up and take a seat. They do have a limited wine selection but it ain't that type of bar so even if you want some don't order it. Kevin's is where the locals go to enjoy happy hour specials like .50 cent wings and watch sports on television screens around the bar. They host a number of themed parties and get together like bike night, end of summer party with all you can eat, raffle and corn hole tournaments. ::: Public Drunkenness Announcement :::There's usually a security guy at the door that will torpedo your ass out into the parking lot, if he has too. It's a small bar and the seating is close together so if you have a problem with people invading your personal space, this is not the place for you. Kevin's is open 7 days a week and stays opens late but that usually depends on the number of people hanging around the bar. You might even find yourself shutting it down at 3am like I've done on more than one occasion. I know they serve basic bar food like burgers, hot wings and fries and some more stuff but I have to look into that later. There's nothing fancy about Kevin's and that's the charm and appeal of this off street, strip mall, bar slash restaurant. It is what it is. There's plenty of parking space out front and no cover charge. There's karaoke on Saturday night and the karaoke DJ is the coolest guy you'll ever want to meet. The fun usually starts around 8pm. All I can say is if you're anywhere near Griffin, GA and looking for that off the beaten path authentic dive bar experience where you can have some drinks, sing and have a dance and meet cool local people, stop by Kevin's and tell them Warren sent you. .

We ordered the supreme nachos and French fries. They were delicious! We were told to "stay warm!" by the manager otw out. Tonight we made our way to The Social Goat in Covington, Georgia. Before we even get to the food,…read morethis is the kind of restaurant that has a personality all its own. Goat-themed artwork is scattered throughout the restaurant, including some fun paintings that immediately caught our attention. The atmosphere feels more like a cozy tavern than a traditional taco restaurant, with dark wood, booths, and a comfortable setting that invites you to settle in and stay awhile. One interesting piece of local history is the building itself. We learned that in 1906, this building housed an antique market. Think about that for a moment. If someone was selling antiques here in 1906, some of those "antiques" might have been from the 1800s. More than a century later, the building is still serving visitors, although these days the focus is tacos rather than antiques. Covington itself is worth mentioning. The city has become known as Georgia's Hollywood of the South, with more than 100 movies and television productions filmed here over the years. Fans of The Vampire Diaries and Sweet Magnolias will recognize many locations around town. If you're visiting the area, there is plenty to see before or after dinner. Our server for the evening was Jordan, who provided friendly service throughout the meal. The menu features eleven different taco varieties, which immediately created a dilemma. Narrowing the choices down to just three was not easy. We ultimately chose the Fried Fish Taco, the Philly Taco, and the Sesame Ribeye Taco. The tacos are available as a trio, allowing you to sample three different varieties on one platter. The meal also came with chips, salsa, and queso, making it easy to share and compare flavors. Let's start with the Fried Fish Taco because it ended up being my favorite of the three. The fish itself had excellent flavor and was cooked just right. The taco was topped with a sauce that brought a unique flavor to the experience, and the crunchy slaw added texture that worked beautifully with the fish. Every component contributed something to the overall bite. This was the taco that surprised me the most and ultimately earned the top spot in my personal ranking. The Philly Taco finished a very close second. If you're a fan of Philly cheesesteaks, you'll immediately understand the appeal. Loaded with shaved ribeye, peppers, onions, and cheese, it delivered exactly the flavors I was hoping for. It was rich, satisfying, and packed with flavor. Sometimes simple combinations work for a reason, and this taco proved that point. The Sesame Ribeye Taco was the most unique of the three. The sesame-soy flavor was bold and immediately noticeable. I enjoyed the flavor profile and appreciated that it took the taco in a different direction than what I typically experience. Rather than trying to imitate a traditional taco, it offered something distinct and memorable. Anyone looking for a creative twist on a taco will likely find this one especially interesting. One thing I appreciated about the trio platter was the opportunity to compare very different flavor profiles side by side. The Fried Fish Taco offered a balance of fish, sauce, and crunch. The Philly Taco delivered familiar comfort-food flavors. The Sesame Ribeye Taco brought a bold and unique flavor profile to the table. Each taco had its own personality, which made the comparison part of the fun. The chips were crisp, the salsa was fresh, and the queso provided a nice complement to the tacos. Combined with the trio platter, it was more than enough food for a satisfying meal. The Social Goat manages to be more than just a taco stop. Between the historic building, the goat-themed decor, the welcoming tavern atmosphere, and a menu filled with creative options, it offers an experience that stands out from the typical restaurant visit. If we return, and there is a good chance we will, there are still eight taco varieties left for us to investigate. The Social Goat Tavern 1115 Church Street Covington, GA 30014

My friends and I had a great time and loved our quirky and knowledgeable server. It's clear that the beer list is expertly crafted, and the cocktails are balanced without being too sweet. I had the grapefruit rosemary margarita while one of my friends tried the special open cask offering. Now, lets get into the food...specifically the FRIES. The apps and entrees we ordered were so good, yet nothing holds a candle to those super crispy fries and the Belgian aioli that comes alongside. Literally, everything was good (shoutout to the beef tartare, goat cheese fritters, tuna melt, smash burger, and crispy chicken sandwich) but I doubled back to get an extra order of fries to go. They are that good. Great experience!
