Not a quick check-in, not a "be right back," just gone like we imagined the whole interaction. At some point it stops being bad service and starts feeling like a social experiment: how long will people sit politely before realizing no one is coming? I was told some Germans thought their version of an Oktoberfest was good, but not in my opinion (although I am not German, I do drink a lot of German beer). The Mom-in-Law really liked the Irish red ale (which the beertender admitted was more of a scotch ale). The Lanier Lager and the stout were probably the best of the bunch. I think the beer is still good enough to come hang out and check out Fergus and Hamish, the cows.
