This charming little cafe serves up some of the best sandwiches, wraps, and soups you'll find anywhere. We tried the Reuben, the Spicy Bacon Melt, and a Snickerdoodle Bar for dessert. While the Reuben and the Snickerdoodle Bar were absolutely delicious, the Spicy Bacon Melt stole the show. It's hard to believe something so simple could pack such an incredible punch of flavor. The bacon was perfectly crispy, the cheese was wonderfully gooey, and the spice level was just right--not overpowering, just a cozy warmth that tied everything together beautifully. The cafe itself is super cute and welcoming, with friendly, attentive staff who made our visit even better. We're already hoping to find ourselves in this area again soon, because one visit isn't enough! Highly recommend this spot for anyone who loves a great meal in a cozy atmosphere. I was headed up toward Braselton, GA and stopped along the way for lunch. It's a busy place nestled in the middle a circular strip center. Lots of traffic at 12pm, but not sure if it's like that throughout the day. The food was decent (chips/sandwich to-go for $12), but I witnessed them charging another customer $.50 for a swap out of dressing for her salad, which it sounded like she had asked for in the first place. I also saw free chips going to a friend, and decided it was definitely a place where the locals go. I'd go back, but wouldn't make a special trip for it. read more

I really like this little place I found! The staff are super friendly and made suggestions, the place was very clean and the food was delicious. They do use the word spicy in a couple of their sandwiches, but was not spicy to either of us. The sausage and potato soup was the star of the show today! Will definitely return. read more

On the way to Maggie Valley, and stopped into town today to enjoy the farmers market and grab a bite. LOVE this little family owned soup and sandwich shop!!! I got the Cobb Salad -- sooo big! Fresh, delicious! We also got a spicy bacon sandwich, fiesta salad, kids grilled cheese, and a Cajun club (most got torn into before I could take pics) -- everyone is so satisfied!! The chicken salad sandwich is good and so are the pickles. The workers have pleasant attitudes and are accommodating. The restaurant itself is clean and welcoming with places to eat outside if you want. The semi-trucks right outside the window making all kinds of noise are a bit distracting. I don't know if I would want to have an important conversation about anything here because you'd have to scream over the trucks going by outside lol. It's a good place to eat if you can get there past all the traffic in town square. read more

We always try to stop at a local place to eat when traveling and we stopped here for lunch. Cute family-owned sandwich shop on the square in Monticello...clean, friendly service and wonderful food. Our party had the Reuben sandwich and the 1/2 & 1/2 combo (1/2 Grilled pimento cheese sandwich & cup of tomato basil soup). Everything was delicious! This sandwich shop was recommended to me by the visitors center. Finally stopped by. I was still full from breakfast but I saw the mixed berry sugar cookie & it called to me. It was like a bar cookie with a cream cheese topping & fruit. Delicious! Really hit the spot. My cousin had a half sandwich turkey melt. She thought it was a nice large sandwich for a half sandwich. It was warm & crunchy-well done on the grilling. Loved the grill marks & ridges on the bread. Cheese was nice & stringy. The bathroom was spacious and fairly clean. I really enjoyed this place. The food was greasy and good. Do not pass up the chance to try the coke slaw. Refill was free. Staff was polite. Chicken salad was good not great but good. I would have preferred to have it a little more evenly spread on the bread. The have four or five booths and a very long community table along with a few window seats. My buddy had the French dip and said it was split and really liked the meat as it was not a packaged pre sliced thing. They did get his chip order wrong but not a biggie. Over all I highly recommend so much so I am taking my wife back this weekend. read more

Just stopped in driving through Monticello and lunch was so good I might have to drive back from Lake Oconee once a week! My sandwich and my soup were both delicious but the Banana Pudding was the BEST I'VE EVER HAD! Seriously, I love banana pudding and have eaten it since I was a little boy. We've been there before mostly for the salads that seem pretty good. We saw the Caprese sandwich on the menu And love the idea of pesto mayo on naan. We held the bacon since were vegetarians and vegetarian options are few. What we got were two pieces of white bread, Plain mayo, slice of tomato, slice of mozzarella, both thin and some greens.... Sad and tasteless. I guess they were expecting the bacon to carry the Day. Please update your menu. Or do what you say in your description. Or at least tell customer ordering that option that the items have changed. Two stars out of respect for the salads we had previously otherwise it would be one. read more

We got there right before 4 and I would have understood if they turned me away since they close at 4. However they were courteous and made a great pair of sandwiches. Delicious Reuben, and a grilled ham and Swiss that was a bit heavy on the cheese for the girlfriend. I offered to take it from her, but no such luck. read more
