The outside of the Whistlestop café, where they filmed the movie fried green tomatoes.

We got a sampler platter that consisted of some fried green tomatoes, onion rings, fried okra, and chicken fingers. The sampler is big enough for two people. The service is excellent. Once you get inside our waitress named Nicole made the experience all worthwhile. All the other people that work there were very helpful and very nice as well. The ambience is overwhelming right online with the movie. Lotta antiques small town wonder. Next to the rail line. Air-conditioning and fans are not excessive so your heat sensitive don't go in August cause it's gonna be hot. We comes from Central Florida so we're used to the heat, but it was not as humid as we have it at our place, so it was comfortable to me. Can't say enough about Nicole. She was very nice. We wanted for nothing. She was always there with a smile and took good care of us. Since the place is small, make people on the porch waiting to get seated your friends and you can turn a two person into a four person dinner pretty quick save you some time waiting for another table to free up. Just a great experience.

We had to wait 1.5 hours for a table on a busy Saturday but the food and the experience was well worth it. The fried green tomatoes were the best I've ever had from a restaurant and the fgt but on rye with Swiss cheese was excellent.

I got the grilled pork chop and it is delicious. The service was outstanding. If one waitress wasn't waiting on us. All of them were waiting on us. The place has not changed since the movie. It looks the same.

I went specifically because fried green tomatoes is one of my favorite movies. Food did not let me down. Sooo delicious!!! Went on a Sunday for my bday and its best to get there when they open to be one of the first ones there cause they get packed!! Wait time for me was not bad but in this summer weather no one wants to wait long. Service was okay, i understood they had a lot of people to wait on but i sadly felt rushed. Restaurant reminded me of the movie so much and i loved it!!!

So I finally made it to the famous "The Whistle Stop Cafe" but unfortunately due to my travel plans I arrived at ten minutes after 4 PM and they close at 4 PM and i found it to be locked up tight although I could hear the pots and pans clanging as the kitchen staff was cleaning up. I was able to walk around the property and snapped a few pictures but it was still a little disappointing being I may never be this close to this historic site again. The production designer for the movie "Fried Green Tomatoes" selected this location which has no connection to the fictional book, this building chosen to be the Whistle Stop Café was formerly an antique and hardware store. It was redesigned as a cafe, with a horseshoe-shaped counter to allow for optimal camera angles, with the success of the movie it has become somewhat of a roadside attraction. Set as the iconic café in the movie, the Whistle Stop Café got its humble start in the little town of Juliette, Georgia. When filming was done, the restaurant remained open and still serves classic southern dishes and of course, Fried Green Tomatoes, everyday! They are open Thursday - Monday, 11a-4p. Closed Tuesdays & Wednesdays and do not accept reservations so plan your visit well...

$$ The Whistle Stop Café in Juliet, Georgia was a great place to visit! Especially if you've watched the movie "fried green tomatoes" The serving staff was very kind even though I had to wait 30 minutes for a seat at the counter. They moved customers in and out quite regularly because it's a very popular place to visit. The old town atmosphere was very nostalgic both inside and outside the café... with a few buildings still available to pass by on the very small main street. The fried green tomatoes were actually very delicious, and I also ordered a burger with potato chips as well... All cooked well done! They do not actually cook their meat any other way, even though you ask for medium rare. A note to self... Leftover fried green tomatoes in the air fryer are fabulous! So if you ever find yourself and Juliet, Georgia... About an hour south of Atlanta on Highway 75... Make sure you stop in and get yourself some fried green tomatoes! Safe journeys, and go make great memories!

When we arrived 30 minutes before opening, we were 4th on the list. We were seated when they opened and there was a line out the door we assume until they closed. Some people who were there when they opened were not sat immediately because there was such a big crowd. The waitresses were super nice. The food came a little slow. Multiple tables were sat and leaving before we even got our food. However, the food was delicious. The chicken tenders were huge and tasty, the fried green tomatoes were all they were hyped up to be, and the loaded chopped steak was also very good. We would stop here again if we were near.

The restaurant is very cute and authentic, with an impressive selection of food. Most visitors have the fried green tomatoes, like the 3 Georgia Power workers who sat at the counter across from me. Good food, prompt service and a pleasant environment. You won't be disappointed.

I really loved the sweet little town. It was so cute how we could just walk around and feel the quaintness of things. As far as the actual restaurant, there was really only one employee who had a great attitude. Everyone else just seemed so stressed that they couldn't really be friendly. I'm from the south so I was surprised by that... the restaurant decor and vibe was so adorable and on point to really remind us of the movie and memories. The menu was good. I had the bbq, green beans and butter beans... it was ok. The meat was the best part of my meal. The bread we got was super dry... the green beans were not flavorful and the butter beans were ok. Mom had country fried steak. It was very good. The gravy was tasty. The collards were good but not flavorful. Okra was decent. Fried green tomatoes looked like they weren't good but ended up tasting great. We also had the buttermilk pie which was decent as well. I was surprised with the level of service, I expected it to be better. And the food quality I also had an expectation for it to be better than it ended up being. It was still fun and I'm glad we went. I'm not sure I would recommend it to others though.

Everyone should make a stop here and check out all the shops on the street. Wait was about 20minutes, as it's a smaller place. Heard that the wait can be as high as 2 hours - but if that's the case, just go shopping in the meantime! It's not hot inside and I love the atmosphere. The staff are so sweet and attentive. The fried green tomatoes were absolutely delicious (and I'm not even a fan of tomatoes). I also ordered the Powerman's Burger and it was easily one of the best burgers I have EVER had. Worth every penny. Definitely recommend!!!

Incredible experience and delicious food. What a unique window into rural south and the effects of cinema on our lives. Rent the DVD and watch how the movie was made. Nonetheless, thanks to the film, this is a splendid tiny town. Thanks to those who own and work in the cafe now, it is a special place with friendly people and authentic meal choices.

Short and sweet. Tomato's are great. That's it. Mashed potatoes were cold and corn bread was cold and hard as rock. Money wasted

Found this great pizza shop after leaving the local KOA and doing some exploring downtown Forsyth…read more This is a great pizza joint with a very welcoming staff, the sidewalk seating was nearly filled so we grabbed a corner booth inside next to the large windows facing the street. We were immediately greeted by Ella who provided outstanding service during our visit she was very attentive and continued to check in on us ensuring our drinks were always filled. We order a 14" pepperoni, italian sausage with extra cheese and cooked crispy, the crust was amazing and all the toppings were of good quality and plentiful. This seemed to be a very popular restaurant on Friday afternoon with a great takeout business. They are definitely dog friendly at the outdoor seating area and there were plenty pups enjoying the afternoon with their owners. This is pizza I'd return for if back in the area we had a great experience...

Wow! If you're in the area and craving amazing pizza, you absolutely have to check this place out…read more I stumbled upon it in my search and I'm so glad I did! This isn't your average pizza joint; with their delicious stone-baked crusts, it truly feels like pizza made to order, giving you a wonderful, personal experience. And you can order by slice! My favorite was the white pizza with cauli-flour crust - delicious! We got there just in time, beating the Friday rush, because about 20 minutes after we sat down, the place was bustling with both to-go orders and new diners. It might look small from the front, but don't be fooled - there's seating outside and a good amount in the back. The layout is a little quirky (you pass the server's drink station on the way to the back and restrooms), but it adds to the charm. I also appreciated that the manager walked around, checking in with everyone - a really nice touch! The food is delicious - so much so that I even took a pizza to go for later! Next time, I'm definitely going to try one of their specials (I didn't see them written at the counter until after I ordered!) and one of their signature alcohol slushies. I'll be back!
