It was so good, I went back the NEXT DAY: Today's The Salad Palace (Macon) meal I got the large Seafood Salad, which consists of romaine lettuce, shrimp, imitation crab, tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, cheese, black olives red and yellow peppers and bacon. (The bacon was supposed to be on the side but I ate it anyway as it wasn't an overwhelming amount) - the menu says croutons, but I was given crackers as a substitute. Light and deliciously good I topped it with the avocado ranch and some blue cheese dressings. This would be great as a seafood taco salad, some salsa and guacamole, especially since I can't eat the iceberg listed in the Nacho Supreme and Taco Salad. And the red velvet cake was excellent!!! Moist and flavorful Every time I come home, I see this as one of my favorite spots for something healthy and fulfilling. If you can pay $8-10 for a salad at Wendy's, Zaxby's or Chick-fil-A, then you'll be more than pleased to buy a large salad here - the large is actually twice the size of the other 3 competitors. I was warmly greeted by Happy but when asked about a certain salad she had a jazzy attitude and then tried to cover it up. I paid $18 for a seafood salad and I wasn't impressed by the small portion size that I received. I have always enjoyed Tasha's salad and I can't say when I will return but never say never. read more

Salad Palace exceeded my expectations! The salads are huge, well-priced, fresh ingredients, ready quick! Excellent customer service. I love that they use romaine instead of iceberg lettuce for most salads. There is only one area where they can improve, and others have noted it, which is to use house-made dressings instead of commercial ones. The restaurant is in a mini-mall that is almost empty except for the restaurant, but don't be dissuaded by that. It means there's tons of parking! Order at the counter and either eat at one of the few inside or outside tables or take it with you. I've done both and when I take it home I use my own salad dressing. The small tuna salad plate must have had at least a whole can of tuna and possibly more. It was delicious southern style with sweet relish - so good. The dill pickle that came with it was perfect. The veggies were all crisp and fresh. The veggie salad is also very good - loved it! Get their loyalty card while you're there. Buy 10 and then get a free small salad. Honestly, there are so few healthy eating places in Macon and one that is locally owned with a huge selection of items where you can get your food quickly and at a great price is something we need more of. Was headed elsewhere to get food then thought I would get a salad. Ordered a chef salad today. It was good. The reasoning for the 3 stars...once again I had no croutons and I asked prior to leaving the establishment were they on there. She says they probably underneath. Ookk Im not confrontational but everyone knows croutons go on top. Just be honest. Do you have croutons at all? Next the bacon bits were so scarce. I could barely see them. Last time I received 3 dressings. Today 2. I'm clueless at this point what comes with the salads. I'm not saying not to try it. They are good salads but for $15 and even more if using a card, I am no longer patronizing and not receiving all the ingredients. I am no stranger to this establishment. I frequent there when it was Salads To Go on Pio Nono as well. And often my sister picks up an order for me. But lately I have had zero tolerance with a lot of things. Surprisingly great spot. I was a little leary about trying this place because it's in a rundown shopping center in a not so great area of town. When we walked in they asked if it was our first visit and apparently they sing to all the first timers. Great customer service and super friendly. They have salads and sandwiches and cakes and various other items. They have an expansive menu and it takes a few minutes to take it all in. It's called the Salad Palace so we had to try the salads. My wife and I both got small salad because their small is larger than a salad you'd get from Chickfila or Zaxbys and their large is gigantic. A little pricier than chain restaurants but I'm willing to pay more to support local businesses. My salad was hand chopped with mostly fresh ingredients, the pineapple and mandarins seemed like they came from a can but no biggie. You can customize your salads with various proteins and vegetables and fruits. They have at least a dozen different salad dressings, and this is my only point of contention, seems like all of the dressings come from industrial sized tubs, they weren't bad per se but not great either. Service was quick and they also had a clean restroom. I will definitely return to this place when I'm in the area for a healthy meal. read more

Went yesterday for lunch. The shopping mall is totally sketchy, which made me question whether I wanted to eat there, but I went ahead. The food was great and the people were great! First time visiting this establishment. I wanted a " big back " kind of salad, so I decided to try this place being it's not far from where I live. The salad was amazing! The customer service from the owner, ehh not so much. She's not so welcoming as the other staff that were outside as I was approaching the door was. She has an " okay, well you bought the food now get out " kind of attitude. No thank you. Just " your total is .. ". I'm a first impressions kind of person, so I lean on how a person interacts with their customers first time around. Our first experience there and we will not be back due to the lack of care and consideration for her customers and also false advertisement this lady runs a weekly special mind you I am a food review specialist for google so I may be dressed if I come in your business I may not just to see how people authentically act when they see you by first appearance we ordered salads from this place they also take EBT most businesses include their fees however this business doesn't so after paying she asks for the prep fee ( $3.21 with EBT $3.41 with debit card) then after we try to pay her she tells us it's no problem just pay it the next time I also asked her for a menu that I could keep she told me she didn't have any for taking but that I could look over one okay so upon looking around the business and reading the menu I notice she had a menu board with weekly deals so today is Wednesday which is also the day it occurred literally 30mins ago 9/11/2024, I say hey it says buy 3 salads get 1 free so I say "sis you get a free salad" talking to my younger sister whose also a first time customer and also is the one who made the purchase so she says to the OWNER "Oh i get a free salad wow" the OWNER tells her "No you gotta be paying attention and you ain't pay no prep fee" how unprofessional and ghetto I thought it was of her to not only treat new customers in this manner about a salad and then the nerve to say we couldnt get the salad bc my sister did not notice the sign which we had not even left the counter with the order yet and had the nerve to say bc we didn't pay a prep fee she told us we didn't have to pay that is definitely FALSE ADVERTISEMENT at it's finest and without the customers their is no business so she definitely needs to check her attitude and the Way she treats her patrons because just based off of first impression she definitely lacks etiquette when it comes to how to handle customers and that's why I will NOT be back because a first impression is definitely a lasting one I also gave the menu back before walking out of the door while me and my sisters are shaking our heads at eachother in disbelief like did this really just occur so unprofessionally she tells me oh you can keep the menu for next time darling it won't be one. ~ All Smiles~ read more
