    Auspicious restaurant advertising

This place is adorbs - old friend & I stopped in for lunch & we spent most of the time catching up in between bites. Fun art on the walls, bustling lunch crowd, a dessert case right up front while guests wait to be seated, excellent service. Friend got her regular Candied Bacon BLT on Whole Grain w/ Ancho Aoli + side of mixed regular and sweet potato fries! Fries are perfection - long, skinny & cooked just right. I ordered The Prado Burger (bacon, fried onion, lettuce, tomato, Cheddar cheese & Serrano Aioli). I got it it well done but it came out pink in the middle. Our server Clarissa was sweet & had them recook it - no problem. Super delish on a challah bun (I think). We would've ordered dessert but so stuffed. See you again soon FOJ!

The food was delicious. We had the veggie sandwich which came with fresh mozzarella cheese and the veggie burger which was bean and mushroom burger. We had the mixed fries for sides with was the sweet potatoes fries and regular fries freshly fried with the side of aioli sauce. To die for!

I literally loved everything about this place. It was cute and quaint and the service was great. I had the chicken quesadilla and kale salad, while my cousin had the butternut squash ravioli with grilled shrimp! Absolutely scrumptious We also had the crab stuffed hush puppies and the chicken pesto egg rolls. I'm definitely going back to try the other items on the menu!

A very pleasant eatery. The service was wonderful and the food was really good. I ordered the Dakota minus pimento cheese with a said of the sauteed creole kale. Both the sandwich and kale were cooked and seasoned to perfection. I did not need to add any additional seasoning. The restroom was spic and span. The restaurant is quaint and lovely. They offer fresh butcher paper on each table to help keep things sanitized and the staff all wore face masks.

I decided to give FOJ another shot because the food was decent. I had another blehhh, not great experience. We had to wait 10 min to be seated even though half the restaurant was empty. The waitress got my order wrong. I ordered the huevos rancheros bowl. She brought out the huevos rancheros sandwich. That's fine miscommunications happen. She fixed the order quickly, and I probably wouldn't have even thought to mention it except that it took long to seat us. When we finally got our food, it was so bland! What a sad grits bowl! It wasn't spiced at all. Tasted like it had no salt or pepper. The veggies must have been out of a can. Our meal was $40 for brunch for two. That's with no alcohol, no desserts, etc. I don't mind the price, but I expected more from the food.

I have eaten here several times and I always get the roasted chicken salad with salmon substituted for the chicken. Delicious!

It's okay, food is fine, average, typical menu in Macon. Slow service, noisy environment, crowded

Always something new to try at FOJ! Although I don't suggest taking small children. All the adults in my family love it though.

When I lived in Atlanta, this was my go to grocery store, so imagine my excitement realizing there's one within a 35-mile radius of me now. Cue the happy dance in the parking lot. It's tucked into a large shopping center, so there's plenty of space to pull up, park, and prepare to spend more time (and money) than you originally planned. The moment I walked in, I was hit with the comforting aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans, basically the grocery store version of a warm hug. On top of that, every employee I passed greeted me. Everyone was genuinely friendly and eager to help, which made the experience even better. I felt like a kid in a very upscale, health conscious candy store. If you're trying to eat better, this place makes it dangerously easy to stay on track. They have everything, fresh squeezed juices, exotic fruits and veggies, prepared meals, plus a quality meat and seafood department. Don't even get me started on the baked goods and yes they offer vegan and gluten-free pastries, self control was tested. I was especially impressed with their dairy free selection. There were plenty of yogurt and milk alternatives, which made this non-dairy girl feel seen and supported. One of my favorite parts was the snack displays. There were so many unique, better for you options that I hadn't seen anywhere else. I grabbed a bag of herb-seasoned popcorn on a whim and let me tell you, it did not disappoint 10 out of 10. The store itself is quaint, but don't let the size fool you I easily spent an hour exploring, especially the seasonal items. Between the fresh flowers, quality products, and overall inviting vibe, this place is officially back in my rotation. It may be "close ish," but it's absolutely worth the trip.

First time at this location…read more As I walked in I noticed how clean the dining area was. There were maybe 10 customers all seated eating lunch. I approached the counter staring at the large menu on display. I came hungry so it was a little difficult to decide on what I wanted. They are known for their loaded spuds but I did not want anything too heavy. I ended up ordering the choice of 2 - 1/2 sandwich and 1/2 soup or salad. I chose the Half club, the Savannah Chopped Salad, and the Broccoli Cheddar soup. It's extra of course if you're ordering more than 2 items but oh was it worth it. The club sandwich was fresh. The bread was toasted and all the veggies/meat were fresh. It was just enough. The broccoli cheddar soup was delicious! Just looking at it I thought it was butternut squash soup. Bits of broccoli throughout the soup The Savannah Chopped Salad was freshly made. Lettuce crispy! Plenty of almonds and berries (cranberries) throughout the salad. A side pickle I didn't order dessert bc my mom made a cake so I am saving space for it Overall I had a very good lunch! I will definitely return and next time try the spuds everyone crave about.

I mentioned on my post the other day for the Presidential location that I would definitely order…read morethe nachos again, and I surely did.....I was dropping off some clothes at Goodwill and knew this was the fine time for that same repeat meal. I was on my game today with double checking my order before I left out. But so were the workers as my preparer left nothing out. I got my chili cheese topping, sour cream, and pickle spear. I saw two of the items on top of my box while it was waiting to be bagged. But I could not see inside the box so I asked the young lady to please check for it. And she pleasantly did so. The meal is like a 2 for 1 for me. Nachos now. Wrap Later. The nachos are still impressive and I like that the sauce was thicker but not too much. The consistency was really good. I even had a Thank you note enclosed. Thank you Zebulon Road McAlister's. You gave me a reason to smile.
