A very pleasant eatery. The service was wonderful and the food was really good. I ordered the Dakota minus pimento cheese with a said of the sauteed creole kale. The waitress got my order wrong. I ordered the huevos rancheros bowl. She brought out the huevos rancheros sandwich. That's fine miscommunications happen. She fixed the order quickly, and I probably wouldn't have even thought to mention it except that it took long to seat us. When we finally got our food, it was so bland! What a sad grits bowl! It wasn't spiced at all. Tasted like it had no salt or pepper. The veggies must have been out of a can. Our meal was $40 for brunch for two. Service: 4.5 stars: it started off with a bang of excellence, then fizzled down to where the hell is our waiter?! He did recover nicely and was very friendly. I really enjoyed that extensively explained the menu and items he (Christian) enjoyed. Food: 3 stars: it's like gourmet pub food. It was cool. We ordered the fried ravioli, it could've been piping hot instead of "warm", the salmon on the bread was good, I asked for a side of cream cheese, the kids chicken fingers are enough for 2 children to split, and the shrimp were good although we questioned where the hell was the shrimp. Taking 2 stars off for that. You can call something shrimp nachos and the shrimp are damn near obsolete! Price point: 3 stars: I don't think the price point really matches the amount of food $8-$9 for 4 cheese filled fried ravioli?! The only thing I really felt was worth the value was the kids chicken fingers. The shrimp nachos were $10 but barely had any shrimp so it was basically $10 for tortilla chips, cheese, and 4 slices of avocado. $40 bucks for a couple of apps and 1 kids meal isn't a value, had it been $30 then they would've gotten 5 stars. I've been to places serving the same type of food and it wasn't this pricey and you got more food. Cleanliness: 5 stars: the restrooms were VERY clean, clean your house CLEAN! well those who live tidy and keep ish clean will appreciate the restrooms here. The restaurant has Picasso-esq paintings on the wall and very chic considering we are in "macon". It's pretty upscale considering some of the other eateries I've seen around there. Overall: would I come back? Maybe... I could take it or leave it. If I lived in macon I would probably try it again but it was nothing memorable on the menu to the point I would say "oh if I'm ever in macon I must come back and try blah-blah-blah" I really wanted to give them a 5 star review but it just didn't knock my socks off like that. No one came to check on us after the food was delivered, not even to give us the check. We had to get up and go to the front to get our check and pay. AMAzing one of the best lunches I've ever had. Roasted chicken salad, the chicken was so juicy and the dressing unbelievably tasty. My girlfriend is a vegetarian and loved the Kale salad. Absolutely amazing!! The Caesar salad is the best, with candied bacon. The Chicken Pesto eggrolls are great appetizer. I really enjoy their petit fours. All of the employees are very nice. I like their Green Tea as well. Pimento Cheese And Macaroni Salad is good as well. The Saturday brunch is great. I found this place and we both were glad - we loved it! Very friendly service, fast to get our food, and delicious food. We got a seat indoors though they do have outdoor seats as well. I ordered the vegetarian sandwich, which had squash, mozzarella, roasted red peppers and pesto mayo on a soft and delicious ciabatta bread. I got the sweet potato fries with it. It also came with some other sauce that had a kick to it. Not sure if it was for the fries or sandwich but I used it for both. My mom loved her salad with salmon on it as well.
