All of the staff were so friendly and helpful and saw to it that any need we had was taken care of! Next...the food is amazing! We had an array of items and every single thing was amazing! So if you love chicken salad, pimento cheese, stuffed figs and a variety of other delicious items this is the place! Finally...the cake! They made a delicious cherry almond buttercream cake that literally was the most amazing cake we had all had! I love FOJ and have been here several times. I usually have an excellent experience and the same as far as the food goes. I have had the green goddess salad with chicken, literally so fresh and amazing. Their quiche of the day which is also very good. The inside was light and the crust was flaky. Recently I went and I had the biscuits and gravy. It was good, but it wasn't my favorite. The corn chowder that I ordered as a side literally tasted like creamed corn poured straight from the cab onto my plate. Luckily the server did change it out for me and let me have the Cajun kale instead, which is amazing. The kale is seasoned very well and has a good crunch to it. The service we receive is always great, however there is usually a long wait initially. I wish they would use waitlist or something to add yourself to the list when you are on the way. Other than that I am a return customer for life and can't wait to come back and try their new menu items as they are always switching it up. read more

We had food delivered to our Airbnb today from Fountains of Juice, which our hostess recommended. We ordered enough for lunch and dinner and were delighted we did. Excellent quality, flavor and composition. My wife said the unique chicken Caesar was by far the best she's ever had. Kalamata olives and candied bacon were brilliant adds. Her French dip dinner pleased almost as much. The turkey, apple and Brie wrap was phenomenal, as was the kale salad. But my favorite was The Dakota. Best, most creative sandwich I've had in years. My sister and I heard this place was very good. So we had lunch here today and it was pretty good. I love that everything is light and healthy. The Kale salad had candy nuts in it that balanced out the salad. The smoked salmon was at the right temperature and so easy to bite through. In Macon, this is definitely one of the top options for a nice, casual lunch or dinner. Service is always friendly even though it can take a while to get your food at times (I.e. don't think you're going to go in for a quick lunch on your work break). The food is generally pretty good and the quality is up there as well. My biggest complaint food wise involves the shrimp nachos. They're very popular, and good, but over time, they have really started to skimp on the shrimp. It's gotten to the point where I feel like it's a waste of money to order them. I generally love the salmon sandwich or salmon burger, but have had to send it back lately because the amount of salt on it was overwhelming (like it's literally been dipped in a bowl of salt). While most of my experiences here are good, and I frequent this place often, I've noticed that when sitting near the kitchen, I often overhear a lot of bickering going on between the wait staff and those in the kitchen. Overall, for Macon, it's a solid choice most of the time. It's discouraging though, because Macon doesn't exactly have a lot of nice, casual, non-chain options, and I feel like they're slipping in quantity/quality of food and service. Since they don't really have any competition, I feel like it's easy for them to cut corners and still have customers. If this were elsewhere though, I can't help but think they'd step it up a little bit. I've been several times over the last couple of months because the food is great, the space is clean, and generally have an overall A+ experience. Today, the food was great as usual but the service was subpar at best. Drink order was taken in an appropriate amount of time and glad we ordered as soon as she came back with drinks because she wasn't at the table again until our meal was completely gone. We were never asked how everything was or if we needed anything, not even a drink refill. It was toward the end of brunch and the place was half-empty. She spent most of her time at the server station talking while we were there. As she came to pick up the check, my guest attempted saying sommething to her unrelated to this post and she didn't pause to listen. Stopped during a lunch break as I was waiting for my friend to get off of work. Fountain of Juice sounds amazing, looks pretty on the outside, is super clean on the inside and has very welcoming staff. It was about brunch time and I was looking for something fresh and healthy to eat. I was seated by a very friendly woman and she immediately took my order. I got an iced green tea and it had just the right amount of sweetness. I was not really sure what I wanted to eat since there were many unique options. The Superman is apparently popular with the bacon, swiss and mozzarella cheese with a nice Dijon sauce. She also recommended the classic Cali with avocado on a BLT. I ended up going with the "Upstream Dream". A fresh roasted Salmon with lettuce, tomato, lemon aioli all on ciabatta. I had a side salad that included grapes, cheese, cucumber, and I think it was feta cheese. It all tasted very fresh and complimented itself well. I must also mention that the portion size was perfect for me. Not too filling and no food was gone to waste. Overall the place was well worth it and the price was really fair. Fountain of Juice is also open for dinner after 5pm where the menu changes. They cater as well. My only confusion was if this place was called the Fountain of Juice, why was I not once asked if I wanted a juice? They have it in the name, but it seems to be promoted the least. I've been here four times in the span of three weeks (twice in a row this week...oops), and it has been positively divine each time. Each lunch I've had, I haven't been able to forget for days after. The Green "Burger" is a fried green tomato sandwich with pimiento cheese, candied bacon, and a smattering of other yummy things. The Salmon Caesar Wrap is delicious on its own, but do what I did and add candied bacon. Just add candied bacon to everything, really. And the Turkey Apple Brie wrap with Dijon mayo is my new favorite meal ever. The mixed fries (russet and sweet) are fabulous, as is the Caesar side salad (which comes with candied bacon, so yeah.) I attended a dinner event in their private dining room, which is cozy and seats close to 40 people comfortably. There I had the Grown Up Mac and Cheese (baked penne with spinach in bechamel), which was probably the least impactful dish I've had there, but still very tasty. The garden side salad, though, is a thing of beauty. With fresh fruit, cranberries, cherry tomatoes, feta cheese, and one heck of a tangy vinaigrette, it was the star of that meal. A word of caution to soda and tea enthusiasts: there is no sweet tea at this southern joint. Only a lightly sweetened green tea, which is delicious and refreshing, but may not satisfy some who like the sweet stuff. The soda options come in old fashioned glass bottles, which, while adorable, will cost you guzzlers. read more

I ordered the The Prado with a side of Mac. It was tasty. The burger was more on the well done side than my order of medium rare but I can look past that. It didn't have as much flavor as I had anticipated but it was satisfying. The mac, although to my own mistake, is not to be confused with mac AND CHEESE.
