This cute little sandwich shop located just a few minutes outside of Robins AFB is located in the corner of an old-tyme looking shopping center building. The interior is simple and classic 1950's Americana style with simple tables, chairs and booths. Street parking is available, but there is no parking lot. There are a few handicap spots up front for those with mobility restrictions. Inside is a counter service restaurant. I waited a few minutes in line while other patrons were placing orders. Inside almost every table was occupied. I had the grilled chicken avocado with bacon. It came with a cucumber. Overall the sandwich was good. The portion was pretty large. It was panini pressed which warmed the bread and cheese. I liked it. It took about 5-10 minutes after ordering to receive my to-go order. It was a good experience. Not fancy but tasty. read more

Here's the edited version for grammar and clarity: --- They need to fix their menus. You can't see a menu in the restaurant at all; it's all on paper. They don't have anything listed, and then there's a special board with writing that looks like hieroglyphics, which can barely be read. The thing that really upsets me is that in the past, you could order a half sandwich with soup, or they would offer half sandwich and soup specials. Now, when you ask about that, they try to pressure you into ordering a cold sandwich, and it seems like these options hardly exist anymore. Please fix the menu. You should be able to order a half sandwich and a half soup; it's not rocket science. Panera, which has much lower standards, manages to get this right, even though their product quality is categorically poor compared to Mccalls. The ordering system at Mcall is very antiquated. Small soup and sandwich shop with a pretty varied menu! Food is Delishious and well prepared. While small inside they manage to make the best of the space and the line moves fairly quickly. I highly recommend McCalls and if you do go, don't forget to have a slice of the Pina Colada Cake...Yum, Yum! read more

Is this place good? Yes. Is it good enough for them to be charging an arm and a leg for sandwiches? No. I mean my chicken salad tasted bland and was really worse then something I could have made myself. Chicken salad chick is better, but it's also their specialty. The philly wasn't great to me, but my husband liked it. Honestly the only sandwich that wowed me was the wild turkey and we spent almost 30.00 on three sandwiches, just the sandwich mind you. It's extra for drinks or sides. I would go back to have the wild turkey, but honestly it's not worth the hype or the money. read more

Simple little local sandwich shop. Homemade soup choices rotate daily. Delicious homemade cakes too. Tomato florentine soup is delicious! I would like to see a bit more variety of salad choices - mostly salad there seems to consist of a scoop or two of chicken or pasta salad on a bed of lettuce. Some good fresh veggies and homemade salad dressing would make a nice garden salad which I would love to order along with my soup :) My husband got the Reuben which he would have preferred with Russian or 1000 Island dressing instead of mustard. read more

Delicious hometown lunch joint in Warner Robins and the prices, especially for a half sandwich and and cup of soup are very good. For $2.95 for a 1/2 cold sandwich and $3.50 for 8oz of delicious soup, you can't beat it. I had the chicken gumbo soup and it was truly out of this world, with veggies that you could tell were fresh and the broth was actually flavorful. My only gripe with the hot sandwiches--which taste great because the meat and cheese and bread quality is amazing, is that the sandwiches are too small for the cost. I love this place and eat there about once a week! I typically go for the chicken salad sandwich or the hot ham and cheese. There are many more options that I want to try but have been sticking with the ol trusty. Price isn't bad, and the sandwiches are just enough. I stopped because it looked like a store from small town USA. You walk in Ted that same feeling come across. Friendly staff and a very clean facility. There is only sandwiches, but they taste just like grandma would make on a hot summer day. Fresh meat (not deli) and tasted wonderful. McCall's is a MUST DO for anyone visiting in Warner Robins. They're not just great food, but great people who are great members of the community. Staff are so polite and professional they make Chik Fil A employees seem mean! Great variety of food on the menu. Their cakes are simply heavenly. Their soups are on point. The sandwiches are the best thing in town. (Try the Spirited Beef!) My only gripe with McCalls is they're a little expensive. I usually can't get a full lunch meal here without teetering towards or beyond $12. It's worth it though! If someone from out of town told me they wanted a taste of Warner Robins, I'd send them straight to McCall's! read more

Went there to pick up lunch and was quite disappointed. It wasn't bad but it was definitely not good. I feel like I could Easily make a better sandwich, soup, and pasta/potato salad at home. It was all quite plain, the "steak" for the cheesesteaks was thin and dry, and the bread our sandwiches were on seemed like a cheap store bought loaf. The staff is friendly, and the place is clean. I just wasn't impressed. I ordered a chicken avocado club. There was only about three or four thin slices of chicken on the sandwich, and small slices of avocado on there. It had mayonnaise too (I would've asked for none had I known) and was on toasted white bread. Not an awful sandwich but definitely not worth $7.95 for that and a fountain soda. The food is great! I go at least once a week on either weds or friday for the grape nut chicken salad. It is DELICIOUS! I knew that I had found a great new lunch spot! The menu was right up my ally with homemade soups, cakes, salads and sandwiches. Simple food that you can tell someone took their time to make. I'm surprised that no one has reviewed McCall's yet. I've been addicted to the Hot Ham & Swiss sandwich on an onion roll with Chicken Gumbo soup for the past 2 weeks. Yummo. Truly hot and steamy and just yummy and soft and fresh. Sadly I don't tend to jump around on the menu and it's the only sandwich I get. It's one of the popular ones. I saw a few ppl with other types of sandwiches (reubens, turkey, and a few others on the menu I never pay attention to). They have different soups on different days but chicken gumbo is always on the menu. So is the hot ham & swiss. Yummo. Only open for lunch though. I believe her primary business is catering but she's obviously good because she's still in business with a lunch time only menu. It's a must try. They also have a pasta sampler plate with pasta salad, tuna salad and chicken salad that my coworker likes. They have fresh sliced cake for $2.50. I have to literally cut my eyes out so I don't order any (trying to eat healthy). Sigh. I've been twice this week. I can see myself going twice next week. Yummo. read more
