Being a foodie, I grew up north loving delis and sandwich shopped. You get more of a feeling, eating at those mom and pop kinda home eateries. Just seems to taste better. Down in Perry Ga., is such an eatery. Families of Mininite and Amish have put together a nice array of sandwiches to die for. They have perfected the art!! The way the meats, cheese, lettuce tomato, onions mayo..... OMG. You eat slowly.....to savior. You eat it in halves.....to anticipate another bite. Such good food and filling. Great little sandwich shop. Inexpensive. Very busy but reasonably quick. We shared a turkey and Swiss sandwich. It looks like most sandwiches are heated like paninis or are on toast. Delicious sandwich with quality ingredients. We ate outside at the single outdoor table as we had our dog along. Most people were not wearing masks including the employees. A friend told us about this place in Perry GA---maybe an hour or so south of Atlanta. It was definitely worth the stop. It is only a few minutes off I75. Both my wife and I ordered a toasted chicken salad sandwich---possibly the best chicken salad sandwich I have ever had. It had some delicious and subtle nut crunch and some cherry bits(or maybe cranberry). It came with some excellent potato chips and tasty pickles. Very reasonably priced and the service was quick and friendly. We spent no more time having lunch here than we would have at a McDonalds and it was twice as good. Don't miss it !! read more

How can a sandwich be so good!? I came here because it was the only place open at the time. I'm in Perry for three months, so I had a list of places to try out and Yoder's didn't make it onto the list because I don't get too excited over sandwiches. I caved and went for the Chicken Pesto because of reviews, but my heart was screaming Roast beef/Philly Cheesesteak. It was savory and dripping with flavor. I should've taken half of it away because it was pretty heavy for a decent sized sandwich. I got a side of the special sauce that comes with the Cuban, which was nice to take home and spread on other sandwiches. I tried the cookie sandwich which everyone on Yelp recommended. I ordered a 8 sandwiches to feed the crowd moving us in to Perry, and the locals were impressed! That's saying something. I don't know how I haven't already reviewed this place. It is one of my 2 "go-to" places in Perry! I don't stray a lot, but I have 3-4 sandwiches in my rotation. You can't go wrong with a BLT! The chicken salad is delicious! (And I am pretty picky about chicken salad). I also love the chicken and turkey pesto sandwiches. Amazing food, super friendly people, small town feel. They are always packed when I get there around lunch time, but the employees are always really friendly and helpful. If my child is being really picky, they will offer to make something custom that I know she will like. They also walk around offering help/refills, which is nice.
