I read his review on his visit to a Waffle House and started reflecting on when I lived in Savannah Ga and the times that I would eat at the Dean Forest Road Waffle House or the Garden City location. Passing the Waffle House that is close to my destination in Perry Ga, I knew that it was my only opportunity to indulge in a delicious waffle. I drove up and saw a lot of workers huddled on the outside, I started thinking that a shift change was in progress. I made my entrance and was given that southern hospitality of a friendly HELLO! One thing I can say about Waffle House, you will be properly greeted, if not instantly, a few seconds after entering. AND just in case you did not hear the first person greeting you, YOU won't be able to say that a second person did not greet you. I give them that. Jennifer was my waitress. Something I discern about Jennifer, She is caring, conscious, attentive, and she is sociable. Jennifer exercises key elements in customer service which make it hard for one to not pay attention to her engagement. FIRST IMPRESSIONS: She greeted me with a smile and escorted me to where she wanted me to sit. MENU KNOWLEDGE: She explained the different types of waffles with the ingredients and how the waffles are prepared. She answered all of my questions so that I can make an educated decision on my choices. EFFICIENCY and ACCURACY: Jennifer took my order correctly and served my meal with the right temperature and time. ATTENTIVENESS: Jennifer constantly checked on me without neglecting her other customers and kept a refill on my coffee while ensuring that I did not want for anything. PROBLEM SOLVING: She handled complaints calmly and she apologized sincerely with a quick fix on the issue. I haven't eaten at a Waffle House in a long time and I have never heard of Waffle House serving blueberry waffles, pecan waffles, strawberry waffles, etc... that is new to me. My selection was the blueberry waffle. I did not enjoy this waffle. I sent the first one back because it tasted half done. It was taken away and Jennifer had the next waffle timed 5 minutes longer. The new waffle was a little better. I guess I am not used to the taste that I forgot about from years of not eating at Waffle House. Keep in mind, Waffle House is a quick order restaurant and that makes them unique and a better choice for dining especially when you are traveling. My findings for this waffle house is 5 stars only because of Jennifer and exceptional service, the food alone was 3 stars and I am pleased to spread the word and I am pleased to.. We really felt welcomed, and though the second time, service wasn't as outstanding, it was still good. I think they really nailed down the vibe of southern hospitality. For drinks, they have seasonal cocktails, which I think is fun, but I'm not around at a time where I would be able to chill and drink. I end up with a go-to sweet tea. Strong and sweet, that it kept me up, but not the strongest nor sweetest I've had. There's also complimentary bread that's mini muffin shaped and dense like a biscuit. It's buttery and salty, but I like it! Before coming, I saw so many things about the sampler, so I definitely wanted to get it and try out. Love the fried green tomatoes with the honey mustard. It didn't feel oily, and it held up pretty well when cut and dipped into sauce. The pimento cheese here is probably the best I've ever had, but I will admit that I have not had many (I tend to not like it). In fact, both these items stay on my mind enough that I do think about coming here more often than I thought I would. And this is just for the apps. The rest of the entrees are pretty standard. Some better than others, but that's due to preference. I haven't gone through the whole menu, but I do prefer their chicken to some of the other menu items. For their sides, I haven't seen or heard of some of them. I asked about them, and they were described p well, enough for me to not want to try congealed salad. I'm not a big fan of jello type things, but I did try the pear salad. Not for me. Absolutely not for me. I did really enjoy the collard green soup and sweet potato souffle though! They were great, esp the souffle. It was my first time having nuts in them, and I loved it so much. Everything else was alright, like I'm sure you've had or can make better mac. Overall, I'm glad to know this place because it's a good rec for the area if you're in the mood for Southern food. It's not a bad pick for vegetarians either, though they would only have appetizers and sides to pick from, but I liked them more than the entrees. There's a parking lot, and it's in a good location to see the rest of downtown Perry too.

As I was leaving, I caught a sign showing a different version of it too.

So I opened up my trusty Yelp App looking for a breakfast place that was open. At almost 11:00 I found this little Pinehurst Diner in Perry Ga. It was off of I-75 in a rural area. When we got there, I sent David in to look at the menu. It was thumbs up and there were only 3 tables inside. The people were so friendly! We ordered a bacon, veggie, cheese omelet, mine with hash browns and a biscuit and David's with grits. They made us fresh coffee in giant cups and it tasted wonderful. The omelets were done to perfection! Don't get excited- l shared some of mine with the Freck! This was the best breakfast we had in a long time and we go out for breakfast quite often!
