So I hadn't been here in quite awhile now I've been twice in one week. Once To go and the other was Dining in. As far as my To Go Experience, my order was ready on arrival and well packaged. I had the Choose 2: Salad & Potato. I also tried their new Party Punch (Desert pear lemonade) which is 100/10! I tried the Mardi Gras Cookie it's pretty good. 6/10. When dining it seems we arrived during their lunch rush as it was a bit busy but our order was taken and our food arrived quickly. I had a Choose 2, but this time with Salad and Soup. The outside of the restaurant and row of stores were littered with trash from the Wing Stop next door. Smh. Hopefully they don't run this location off! read more

I never mind giving a restaurant an opportunity to show redemption and I'm glad I chose to come today. I ordered my favorite meal with ceasar wrap and ultimate nachos. Let me tell you. This dude Derrick was working so hard. He was fixing orders, taking orders to the table, and bagging orders. I saw my cheese and sour cream and asked if my pickle was inside. He didn't get an attitude. He politely said yes. The bagging and presentation of my food was so nice and the food is good. I hope he's there whenever I go to that location. Thank you so much! worst mcallisters i've ever been to. for a fast food place, this one's normally reliable. for starters, olives have never, should never, and are NOT currently listed in the veggie sandwich ingredients. however, both veg sandwiches were received with about a jar of olives each if not split in between the two. both were dug into with bare hands to remove this unwanted horrid flavor to which most was wasted due to gagging. slowest shop they have. least concern for customers. no desire to be there shown by employees during regular dinner hours. if red onions were removed theres a guaran the flavor of olives is also undesirabl. employees seemed to have 0 clue of what was going on or being asked/said by customers. read more

Not a lot of options around this area and most places have very bad reviews. This place didn't have many great reviews either but I'm glad we took a chance because I was very positively surprised. The service was very good, and the young man who helped us was very helpful, patient and friendly. They have a patio outside so we could have our dog with us. Every time I come here, the food is good of course. The last time I came in though they were slammed and there were two young guys working and they were doing a GREAT job despite the stress of it. They were aware of the long times and very apologetic and even doing their best to make things more bearable. The issue I have though is the app says they don't have salads and then I tried to order the other day on DoorDash and it said the same thing!! Great food. I had a potato and half of a veggie sandwich as part of the Choose 2. Of course I had McAllister's Famous Sweet Tea. The food was fresh and delicious. This is one of my favorite sandwich places because there are endless menu options especially with the Choose 2. read more

The Zebulon Road location is terrible. I placed a to go order for a sandwich with a cup of soup and two bowls of soup. I didn't receive my full order and the broccoli and cheese soup was literally water with a few broccoli and carrots. I can't believe that they would serve anyone the food that they sent out the door. I spent $50 on food that I threw in the trash. I will not be returning to this location again. read more

Haven't eaten at McAllister's in quite a while and a lot had changed when we visited this past week. The employees were very friendly but the portion sizes were very small. We paid almost $10 for a thin sandwich on toasted white bread, cut in fourths and arranged around a stack of potato chips. I would have given more stars, even with the small portions but then I had to use the restroom. I couldn't believe the state of the restroom. There was mold growing on the doors of the stall. It's inexcusable to have a restroom in that condition. Mold is dangerous for customers and employees. I hope the problem is contained to the restroom. read more

We have been frequent customers of Zebulon McAlisters in Macon. Few weeks ago placed a large takeout order and waited for an hour and nothing yet they charged me and had to go to bank to charge back food never received. But because we have a long history as customers we have them another chance. We tried them again-went in personally and place order face to face. So while I waited notice not one single hair net on kitchen staff. Had to weigh out to cancel my very large order because so grossed out-come on people! read more

As far as McAllister's goes, this one could use a little sprucing up. Everything is sticky (the door handle, floor, the tables, the chairs) and the whole place smells like they've been using the same cleaning rag for months. Food was a bit different than the McAllister's near my house, too. At least it is better than the Golden Corral or Chinese buffet down the street, though. read more

The Chairs were on top of the tables and the whole they remained opened they would not allow dine in guests because "we already cleaned" absolutely appalling service, and a bad way to end a long day in the car. Overall ok sandwich shop with local flair but nothing special. Most sandwiches are served cold as stated on other reviews even when they are toasted, I can't stand this! At the suggestion of a friend, I decided to give McAllister's another try. I had been often in the past, and, while I found the food mediocre at best, the service was above average on most days, and the restaurant itself is friendly and relaxing. In past trips, I ordered The Reuben, which was satisfactory. It was neither stellar in its ability to deliver as a staple of American deli sandwiches, nor did it offer a different spin on that staple in terms of flavor or inventiveness. Most recently, I ordered a roast beef sandwich with potato salad on the side. The food was bland at best, and, in the end, the overall taste and appearance of the food left me trashing half of it. McAllister's is family-friendly and offers a nice atmosphere, but I always come back to how truly easy sandwiches are to make, even ones that may seem complicated. Eating out should be an experience that--no matter what the food item--triggers the senses into associating the pleasing taste of the food and the quality of the restaurant as an inseparable entity. Otherwise, I will go to the grocery store and make a much less expensive and far healthier version without having to put my shoes on and get in the car. read more

Though it was warm, the bread was barely shown a flat top and no butter, no crunch. The thousand island was syrup sweet. Lastly, the amount of corned beef was on the light side. Falling off the map. Smaller portions and taste has gotten away from what they used to be. Had the New Yorker but it tasted like the corned beef was starting to go bad. The sherry shallot dressing on the salad was good and their iced tea is still very good. One of the workers had some friends or nephews or somebody she knew coming in and out and refilling their drinks. They would leave and go across the street to a store and come back and be very unconcerned about people dining in, play fighting and loud. Speaking too loud for the atmosphere to the worker behind the counter. I said I wouldn't go back before but took my Mom as she likes soup and salad. Big mistake. No more McAllisters for me. 2 star rating due to food taste and atmosphere. Follow up to previous review. Just spoke with the operations director about the situation at the store and she wanted to try and remedy what happened at the store. Very apologetic and is concerned about customer service as McAllister's has always been in the past. Upped my rating to 4 stars because of the follow up customer service. read more

We placed 3 orders to go - when I got back to the office one order that was to have no bacon (person deathly allergic) had bacon on it. I am mortified at the level of incompetency demonstrated by the staff I interacted with this evening! I placed a catering order 2 weeks in advance where the number of sandwiches for each option was specified. I picked up my order assuming the manager would of read the order thoroughly...Boy was I mistaken!!!!!! I began setting up for the event- to see that I was missing sandwiches. I called explaining the issue and to say I was returning to retrieve the missing sandwiches. 15 minutes later I walk in to a TOTALLY empty restaurant and no sandwich was ready!!!! The lazy cashier chose to not get involved while the other worker was preparing to close out the seating area. NO ONE had a sense of urgency! My guests were back at the event waiting for over 45 minutes and the manager STILL misread the order and tried to dispute with me over what the order called for- obviously the customer is no longer right. This store needs better leadership and training. I am contacting their corporate office on Monday. read more

McAlisters is definitely one of the best places in town to get a sandwich (or soup or a potato). The ingredients are of good quality and the employees are always peasant. My only criticism is that they lack some of the ingredients that I think should be standard at a more classy sandwich place, such as avocado, sprouts, cranberry (they may have it seasonally), and cream cheese. Also, many people complain that it is expensive, but their lunch combo deals for $5.99 are a bargain, and the quality and service warrant a slightly higher price than the run-of-the-mill sandwich shop. read more

It has been a while since have been to one of these franchises, and I did not remember that it was so much like Panera Bread. I had the roast beef sandwich and pasta salad, and both were good.
