Riding thru town from Macon to Jefferson and found this pizza place and it was delicious! Service was great! Highly recommend.

Perfect weather to sit outside. Covered patio and dog friendly. Waitress was very polite and white it was her second day, she was so wonderful. We opted for jalapeño cheese sticks. They were okay. Nothing I'd order again. The pizza we got was the cheese ortenburger with green peppers. While I'm not a fan of the crust, the meats on the pizza were really good. I just prefer a thin, wood fired type crust. Personal opinion only with that matter since my husband liked it. A little heavy on the flour on the undercarriage of the pizza. The sauce lacked flavor. I did add some salt. Sadly no cheese pull. Lol It's worth a try to check them out! Found this great pizza shop after leaving the local KOA and doing some exploring downtown Forsyth. This is a great pizza joint with a very welcoming staff, the sidewalk seating was nearly filled so we grabbed a corner booth inside next to the large windows facing the street. We were immediately greeted by Ella who provided outstanding service during our visit she was very attentive and continued to check in on us ensuring our drinks were always filled. We order a 14" pepperoni, italian sausage with extra cheese and cooked crispy, the crust was amazing and all the toppings were of good quality and plentiful. This seemed to be a very popular restaurant on Friday afternoon with a great takeout business. They are definitely dog friendly at the outdoor seating area and there were plenty pups enjoying the afternoon with their owners. Wow! If you're in the area and craving amazing pizza, you absolutely have to check this place out. I stumbled upon it in my search and I'm so glad I did! This isn't your average pizza joint; with their delicious stone-baked crusts, it truly feels like pizza made to order, giving you a wonderful, personal experience. And you can order by slice! My favorite was the white pizza with cauli-flour crust - delicious! We got there just in time, beating the Friday rush, because about 20 minutes after we sat down, the place was bustling with both to-go orders and new diners. It might look small from the front, but don't be fooled - there's seating outside and a good amount in the back. The layout is a little quirky (you pass the server's drink station on the way to the back and restrooms), but it adds to the charm. I also appreciated that the manager walked around, checking in with everyone - a really nice touch! The food is delicious - so much so that I even took a pizza to go for later! The restaurant it's self and the service were great. If you are looking for a chill spot with good local vibes it's a great place. Everything food and drink was pretty average overall. We ordered the jalapeño popper sticks and it was just essentially a half pizza but with better crust than the actual pizza. The Florentine was okay but very soggy and had to be eaten with a fork and knife as all the toppings would have slid off. Ingredients were all basic, nothing really stood out as special. It takes a lot to screw up a pizza in my opinion...this place hits the spot. Crust is crispy/chewy and the toppings were all fresh. Everything was good and we all enjoyed our meals. Some items could have used a little more salt, but others were well seasoned. Service was attentive and nice. The place was clean and orderly...tables and their tops need some TLC-I know a random thing but our three tables were all different heights and made for awkward plate setting....and the finish is in pretty bad shape. Me and my family were traveling through and decided to get pizza here. Workers were very friendly and super helpful, but the pizza is just average pizza. It was too greasy as well. Cool spot though, but felt like a chain pizza would've sufficed and been cheaper. read more

We had a wonderful meal here while passing by on our way north. We had a Greek Salad and an Islam Sandwich. The salads were tasty, but on the small side, but the sandwich was amazing. If you look at the pictures of interior and exterior, you get the vibe. Cozy pizza joint in a cozy historical square. Great selection of food and beverage, large portions, nice, attentive service. I stumbled across Jonah's while I was in town for a work trip. A quick Yelp search revealed that Jonah's was one of the highest rated restaurants in Forsyth so off I went. I ordered a medium Hawaiian (yes I like pineapple on my pizza) over the phone and picked it up 15 minutes later. The restaurant has a nice vibe and seems charming and casual. The pizza looked great and quite honestly was baked almost perfectly. However, the pie did not taste as bold as it looked. I really wished the sauce -and overall pizza- had a bit more flavor. Overall the pizza was made well but unfortunately a little bland. It felt forgettable and 'ok'. It was not bad by any means but it was not impressive either. They probably have great pizzas on the menu so feel free to give them a try. If I was ever in town again I may try my luck with something different. read more

There's not many pizza pl here unless u get Pizza Hut and papa John's chain restaurant. Anyhow the pizza looks good we gave it a try. I order the special white pizza and Forsyth pizza, my husband love the white pizza and Forsyth pizza was good the only thing is it has so many topping on the dough that it got soggy. Next time I will try something else with less topping. Overall it's good. read more

I came here while in town for work. I seen all the great reviews and a Forsyth Police Officer also recommended this place. I was seated right away when coming in. The hostess advised that I can sit anywhere I wanted to. There actually is a ton of room towards the back with several booths. I am so glad that I went to the back from. This place is a lot bigger than it looks from the outside. I already viewed the menu online prior to coming so I already knew what I wanted. I ordered the meat calzone with the additional toppings: onion, banana peppers, and mushrooms. The additional toppings were $1.00 each which brought the total to be around $13.00. The calzone was around $9.95 without the toppings. The calzone was huge but I was actually able to finish it as it did not contain as many toppings like I would wanted it to. The service was great and friendly. I highly recommend this place if your in town and craving pizza/calzones. There isn't many places to eat around Forsyth but this place definitely hits the spot. read more

Driving past the town, looking for a place to grab a quick bite that was not fast food. The service was excellent. All the girls working were friendly and attentive. Laid back (aka Southern) vibe in the front half of an old, former blacksmith shop (or so we were informed.) Eclectic decor runs the gamut from painted-on-peeling plaster walls (meh) to bushel basket lamp shades (cool). Somewhat limited seating in front and along side the big wood oven work zone. More in back. Our young server was friendly and congenial - and relatively new, so she had to ask other staff about questions we had regarding the menu. No problem; her charming smile and demeanor made up for the pauses in service. Water was served promptly but we had to wait a bit (since our server was under age) for our ice-cold beers in frosted mugs (ummm good). Again, we were not ignored and repeatedly were offered apologies. My suggestion.... relax and enjoy your time here. Pizzas are individually hand made - you can watch through the window into the "prep & work zone." Thick crust with appropriately thicker, chewy edge (yum yum). Great choice of fresh toppings and cheese! Go for it!!! Meatballs for our youngest grandson came in a screeching-hot-out-of the furnace cast iron skillet. Do-do-do be careful! Balls were a bit dry and highly seasoned with Italian herbs, spices and tongue-tingling pepper. Garlic bread - chewy and a nice accompaniment. Prices - very reasonable. Owner and staff - very welcoming and helpful. Only regret: we were just passing through and live much too far away for return anytime soon. :-( Last bite - check out the Anvil burger if you're ever lucky enough to visit. Oh my! read more

So having just moved from the Atlanta area I was doubtful that we would find a good pizza place in Forsyth. Well, we didn't, we found a fantastic place! Antico is one of our favorites and Jonah's can hold their own with them! The pizza is excellent, the pretzels are phenomenal and Jonah's edges them out with service and those great wine slushies! Confused by the reviews. We stopped here and tried their pepperoni pizza and margherita pizza. I asked the waitress if they made their pizza with fresh basil and she assured me they did. The pizzas were both very small for the price. The pepperoni was more cheese and lacked actual meat while the margherita was missing any fresh basil and had giant chunks of Roma tomato. Instead when I asked another server she brought me back a little container of dried basil. When we checked out, I noticed the "cooks" behind the counter appeared dirty and were not using gloves when preparing the food. I would not recommend this place. Absolutely delicious homemade everything! Fresh baked bread, desserts straight out of the oven, and homemade tuna salad. The bread and desserts were to die for, so rich and delicious. The people are very kind also, and made every effort to greet us and were accommodating to all of my dad's picky needs. Absolutely recommend this place! Ps. We went for lunch thinking we would just have pizza but the Italian beef sandwiches caught our eye so we both had them. I chose pasta salad as a side and my Honey had chips. The beef was flavorful but very dry. Every other time I've had it the sandwich was so juicy you needed a knife and fork to eat it but not here. Like I said it was really good but I was disappointed in it's dryness. The bread it came on was delicious! The pasta salad was just awful. It tasted like it had been frozen and for way to long. I couldn't eat it and sent it back. We ordered a pizza to go to take home for dinner. The pizza was very good even reheated. I recommend the restaurant but ask for juice if you get the Italian beef. Two words- WINE SLUSHIES!!! So good!! Never tried cauliflower crust pizza and it was amazing. Went back at a later date with my son and it was still good but unfortunately way more greasy than the first time I went. Have been back since and it was just as good as the first time so not sure what happen the second go round. Everyone has an off day so I wouldn't necessarily count that against them, overall the place is really great. Their help is kind of young so if you don't already know what you like to drink, don't expect recommendations as most of them are under age.
