First of all, thank you Yelp community for the reviews on this spot! I agree wholeheartedly. My husband and I were in Macon for the Macon Love pickleball tournament. We opted to stay the night before (I was nervous, first tournament jitters and all!). I had originally reservations for an upscale restaurant but changed for comfort food vibe. Upon entering a number of customers were waiting for to go orders. Always a good sign. We were enthusiastically greeted by a patient woman who was excited about the tournament as well! We sat on the outside covered section due to the busyness inside. If you sit out there, BE SURE to tell them or your pizza may be MIA. There is a sign on the door as well. It has a fun decor that keeps you looking around and someone is an Elvis fan for sure! We ordered each a small Caesar salad dressing on side and a Large White pizza. The salads were a perfect size with crispy, crunchy homemade croutons. It also comes with two bread knots so, opt for some greens and get the bread free! Our pizza was next and let me tell you- the flavor was amazing. Best tasting pizza we've had in Georgia. Due to the ricotta base it does get soggy. Just know this going in. It was full of toppings and large pieces. We each ate one, remember my nerves lol. Next day at home, we preheated a baking sheet to 400 then added a couple slices and voila, the crispy bottom that most are used to. We will definitely return next tournament! Usually get great service but for some reason today 1/18/2025 5:50pm I experienced the worst service ever. Person told me it would be a hour wait I replied, " Ok, I'm up the street at the cigar lounge." And then the phone hung up. I called back and informed the person he hung up on me, he replied I thought you said never mind. Don't know how he confused what I said and the end result was the phone being hung up. And the worst part was the person didn't even apologize for their misunderstanding.......... Bad employees= losing customers and they just lost one!!!!!!! read more

Ingleside Village Pizza is a wonderful destination for pizza if you find yourself in the Macon, Georgia area and in the mood for pizza. Ingleside Village Pizza has a cool ambiance and kind of screams old-school dive type place, but it made for an interesting vibe to enjoy some pizza. I am a huge fan of pizza and I grew up in New Jersey, so my bar for pizza is pretty high. Ingleside Village Pizza offers a pretty solid pizza and I would definitely recommend Ingleside Village Pizza if you find yourself in Macon, Georgia area and are craving pizza. The service and staff here were wonderful and only made for a better overall experience. Probably one of the best Pizza places to get Pizza from that is saying a lot coming from a guy who doesn't eat Pizza much when I do I always get the Hawaiian Pizza which is quite awesome. While the vibe here is artsy fartsy in a good way, the pizza is less than edible. I actually threw away half the pizza for the first time ever! I haven't eaten at Ingleside Village Pizza in years and that's mainly due to its location. But tonight I took that drive for the white pizza, and I was not disappointed. My trips are usually short visits -- buzz around town visiting childhood friends & discovering new places, but...I can FI-NAL-LY say: "I chowed at IVP!" The kaleidoscope parking lot with their jolly jester mascot needs no introduction: everyone in town knows that logo. Once inside I couldn't even check out the menu, b/c I was enthralled with their decor. So.Much.Elvis.My eyes were mesmerized by the happy hodgepodge of colored lights, bobble head dolls, hanging pendant lamps, vintage concert posters, everything but the kitchen sink. I inhaled as much as I could b/c my stomach grumbled, reminding me why I was there. After a workout, I wanted a slice w/ tons of protein so the Lunch special, a Slice + a drink, was perfect. That single slice was loaded with sausage & pepperoni. The cheese was incredibly stringy & delicious. I wondered if it was scamorza cheese, which is meltier but no, they are purists and use mozzarella! The crust was hearty, cross between thick and thin. Can't wait to come with a crowd, to sample a variety b/c everyone loves some zesty za! (FYI: "za" is short for piz-za & a spectacular Scrabble word) P.S. Very disappointed! Second time there. First time I gave it 4 stars, had pepperoni and onion pizza very good. After reading all the good reviews on their white pizza, I couldn't wait to try it. Ordered a small Caesar and a 16" white pizza. When I got my pizza and tasted it I ask if they forgot the ricotta cheese, and they said no. I found it very bland and tasteless. I don't mind paying good money for an excellent meal but this Ingleside pizza wasn't it. I see all the good reviews and all I can say is I guess a lot of people don't get out much. Service was okay, delivery to me was average so it wasn't a customer service issue. The pizza was just "okay" and I expected so much more. The crust itself was buttery but it did not taste homemade. More like the pizza crust you buy at the store when you make your own pizza. The veggie toppings were very underwhelming...I guess I will keep traveling to Johnny's pizza in Stockbridge (the one in Macon is not good) when I want a great pizza (they get it right EVERYTIME). I wasn't expecting this, meaning I wasn't expecting this pizza joint way off the interstate and in Macon, Georgia, to have such tasty pizza. Now, in looking at other people's photos, I wouldn't ever order a pizza with Canadian bacon and pineapple ... or ranch dressing, but Ingleside Village is free to offer those ... as long as they've got the more mainstream ones dialed in. And they do. Ingleside Village Pizza is in a sort of Victorian village looking building (it was night time) in a strip mall on a tree lined street. It has a dated, funky parlor decor inside and it feels like Credence Clearwater, Janis Joplin, or Simon and Garfunkel might just come in on the airwaves. One could order pizza slices and, like another reviewer said, the slices are huge and chock full of ingredients. I thought they tasted great. They would be dinner. The price was fair. And, the young lady who was keeping tabs on my table was very cordial. This place has a great mix of quality-taste-price-service and gets a 5 for the type of eatery it is. They definitely filled my hatch and I may have had to tilt up the steering wheel a notch. I know there's a movie named "Macon County Line," but I think the South has more than one Macon and more than one Macon County. This Macon is that city south of Atlanta, heading toward the split on the interstate toward either Savannah, GA or Florida ... and where Mercer University is located. I used to work with a Southern guy who once said, "My daughter has a four-point-zero and she wants to go to Mercer," which sounded strange to me because a Yankee would say "a four-point-oh." Now I can say that I've gotten off the interstate and set foot in the city with said university! Also, it might be interesting to note that, in the South, students "make good grades" instead of "get good grades." Maybe this is hearkening to the Mason-Dixon Line more so than to "Macon County Line." At this point, I'll wind down my analysis of demographics and colloquialisms and just say that Ingleside Village Pizza offers unpretentious and very good fare in a comfortably worn and hospitable setting. Honestly, why has it take so long for me to come here?? People talk about it all the time and my barber is next door, but I've never had the time to actually sit down and eat here... until just recently! My wife wanted to go to the little gift shop across the street and I told her I would only go if we could come here... deal! Came around lunch time and this place was absolutely packed when we walked in. They did say they had outdoor seating that was covered and heated... so we chose to sit outside. There was a lunch special which included a slive of pizza, a side salad, and a beverage. Great price too! We both ordered a ceasar salad and the dressing was amazing! Must have been home made. Of course the claim to fame here is the pizza. I got a slice with pepperoni and sausage. This place PACKS the ingredients on! My slive of pizza was completely covered in the two meats. The pizza here was absolutely delicious. Either that or we were just super hungry... I'd go for the earlier response! We will be sure to come back soon. read more

The five stars are for the pizza hands down the best. I cannot take that away, and when I like something I like it. But here's the issue. I called to place a carry out order at 5:00 pm the lady that answered the phone said it would be an hour wait I asked her would it be better if I came in to place the order she said "by the time you do that the hour would be up" so I said okay cool I wait I was fine with waiting because the pizza is that good however, I called at 5:56 pm to see if it was ready she said it's going to be 30 mins because we're swamped. Now I'm slightly hangry because I've already waited the hour pretty much but to be told another 30 mins and that she would try to move me up so it'll be 20 mins. Ma'am that's not doing me any justice I'm heated at this point because I had to settle for another pizza company that do not amount to Ingleside talk about furious. My mom said she would not go back. I stopped her like Mom, I'm not going to say all of that because I do not like any other pizza besides theirs so I'll return I just didn't like the fact that me being a paying customer for years. (okay I have an addiction sometimes 3 times out the week yes I love their pizza that much) for them to make me wait then add more time after I waited. I ate at this pizza place a number of times. I have ate there and had delivered. I had a slice of pizza on Monday and Wednesday of this week. It was onions, black olives and extra cheese. Both days wonderful. I must give a 3 star becoz I noticed a man cleaning the tables. He took a rag out of a bucket of I don't know what and wiped the tables and thru it back in the bucket. Regardless of COVID but in this day of COVID I found this to be scary. I advice you clean the table with hand sanitizer yourself or put down a number of napkins to put your plates on. I wouldn't recommend getting it delivered if you live a good distance. It is cold and doesn't taste as good. It doesn't do well to reheat and eat pizza as left overs. Best to eat there to really enjoy the pizza. But I would recommend you eat inside or outside on the porch but the atmosphere is quite busy. On way home from Florida, tired hungry been in the car 10 hours, we searched for pizza and decided to try this place such a cool vibe , we could tell was a local favorite. We ordered one pizza and a salad . I could see the steady dream of people coming in to pick up yo go orders but it did take 20 min to get our salad to the table . I very cool decor inside , if I lived near here I would totally also be a regular. The pizza was great , crunch crust not greasy and well enjoyed ! Was glad I choose this place over another with no so great reviews. Big fan of pizza. This place did not disappoint. Ranks in my top 3. Number one being Grimaldi's in Vegas. The dining room was clean and nicely themed. Staff was great. I really appreciate you all. My son also enjoys pizza and he said this was his best ever. We only got a slice each and the breadsticks as a meal before supper. You need to try the sticks sloppy at least once. The excess butter and cheese also paired well with the pizza crust. After eating, check out the surrounding shops. Very cool spot off the beaten path.
