I used to come here all the time growing up. My brothers little league would come here whenever they won a game. They would get those ginormous sheet pizzas! (I have no idea if they still have those.) I had not been back since I moved to NC in 2002 until last week. It was just as delicious as I remember. The atmosphere was the same, very family oriented. Little hole in the walls always surprise me the most with their amazingly bold flavors. Chandler - thank youuuuu! You were such a nice person, you took your time with us and explained everything really well! I can't wait to come back to try your in house made ranch! The house sauce blew us out of the water though. Let's talk pizza - we've never had a Chicago style pizza but we knew it was a reverse style pizza. We ordered the sliced pizza for the kids and I had the large steak/cheese sub along with a side Greek Salad. Our server was great and attended to us right as we sat down. She arrived with a smile on her face a great attitude. This local pizza joint has a very family friend environment that has books for kids to read while waiting for their food. These books are donated by Gottwals. My daughter picked out Diary of a Wimpy Kid. This place is a great place to bring your family or a nice quiet date night. Very economical as well. read more

For pickup or dine in, there was only one cashier/server that handled everyone. He was really nice and service was surprisingly quick. Food arrived within 20 minutes after ordering too. There wasn't many people dining in, but there seemed to be a good amount of people ordering takeout. I wish I ordered a pizza to try, but my friends said that the sandwiches are the things to get. I did end up ordering garlic knots with my sandwich, but it wasn't what I expected. The bread was hot, soft, and fluffy. Yum, but there wasn't much garlic or flavor outside of the cheese on the tops of the garlic knots. It was still nice, though a little disappointing. The sandwiches though. I could not finish my own, and we cut them all in halves to share. They were all good and had very distinct flavors. My favorite has to be the nutty chicken sub, especially with the honey mustard they give with it on the side. It's more honey than mustard, but it gives the sandwich a savory sweetness. The sandwiches have a regular or large size option, which means you either get one sandwich or two. It's a good place for lunch. The prices aren't bad, and they're fast and hits the spot. I was looking for a healthy lunch and came across My Father's Place, a small eatery in a shopping strip about 10 minutes from the base. Inside, there's a carryout section up front and a seating area to the right. It was fairly busy, with several occupied tables, including a large group. I seated myself and waited a few minutes for a waitress to take my order. I had the Santa Fe chicken salad and a slice of cheese pizza. The salad was mostly iceberg lettuce with onions, tomatoes, shredded cheese, and grilled chicken--I skipped the olives typically on this salad. The chicken was the best part--flavorful and well-cooked. It wasn't too large. The pizza arrived fresh and piping hot. It was flavorful with this fresh tomato sauce that really hit the spot. Reminded me a little of NY style pizza. With a military discount, my meal was around $10--definitely a solid, affordable lunch option! read more

My Father's Place has been a family favorite of ours for several years, so we were more than willing to give the new owners some runway towards continued success. We visited not long after it reopened, and it was still good - different to be expected - but good. However, our experience today was disappointing. They were fairly busy for a Saturday lunch hour, not super slammed but busy, so we weren't expecting speedy service for a table of 7, but our service today was extremely slow. Our pizza slices came out in stages, some having sat too long under the warmer lights and some right out of the oven. We had to send one back and request a fresh piece because the cheese was nearly crunchy. And while we understand wings typically take a bit longer, half our table got their wings, which were unfortunately not very warm, while the other half waited an additional 20-25 minutes for wings, at which point, we had already been there well over an hour and had to leave, so we had to take them in a to go box. For perspective, my husband arrived 30 minutes or so after we had already been seated and ordered, and his wings arrived before mine. We had to ask for ranch dressing multiple times and request the server to remove the trash from our table (as they have removed the lobby trash can where we prior could toss our own trash as needed). My granddaughter unfortunately spilled her whole cup of tea, and the staff were of absolutely no help at all in assisting us to clean it up, despite our having to track someone down to request additional napkins. We had to leave a puddle under the table because it was too large to wipe with the sparse number of napkins provided, and there was no offer of a mop or anything else to help. All in all, we were unhappy with the food and the service today. We are eager for MFP to succeed, as it's been a staple in the WR community for a long time, but this is not the way to do it. There are many other places where we can spend our money. Unfortunately, it will be quite awhile before we return. I am hopeful in the interim they will be able to work out the kinks with the kitchen and the staff to bring customer experience back up to par. read more

This place is getting so sporadic on the hours. It's ridiculous. When we first made Warner Robins they were closing around 9:30 -10 o'clock. Now they close at 9 PM with a giant sign on the door that says last order 830 the staff is not engaged nor do they want to stay there and do any work and if you walk in around 7:30 they will tell you that they don't want to serve you. The pizza was better than your average pizza place in town. It's a small hole in the wall but don't let that discourage you. The dining is clean, staff is friendly and food is served fast and hot. The second person in my party ordered the lasagna, which was freshly made on site and was a large serving for $8.99 that was served with your choice of a side salad, greek side salad was selected this visit and garlic bread. First, the Greek salad was delicious ious in itself. The lasagna was delicious, much better than a chain restaurant like Olive Garden. I am still in sticker shock k that the lasagna dinner was so inexpensive. This visit was fabulous, we highly recommend, especially if you are looking for a restaurant that will not break the bank. They have a rewards program and offer military discounts! Next visit I will remember to photograph the food. read more

We were seated for 15 minutes before anyone even offered us a menu. After ordering, 3 pizzas were delivered to tables that weren't even seated prior to us ordering. When we asked what was happening, we were told that they had a problem with tickets printing and we were given the choice of whether or not we wanted to keep our pizza on the order. This is after sitting in the restaurant for 45 minutes. At that point, I went to the front counter, paid for 2 drinks and the garlic knots that took 40 minutes to get to us, and told them I wouldn't be back. There was never an attempt to offer a solution despite my complaint. I was given a military discount on the things I did receive, but I wasn't offered a chance to talk to a manager. Instead, I received a lot of apologies from high school kids that didn't know how to handle the situation. Telling a dinner customer "sorry, would you like to take the pizza off the ticket" is an unacceptable solution. I feel sorry for the kids, and the restaurant looks nice since it changed ownership, but they lost a customer tonight. read more

I've been coming to my father's place pizza since the early '90s. The first owner. Excellent place hands down through high School. Great place. Second owner pretty good. Still kept up with the first owner in most aspects. The third owner horrible. We went sat down. We just had a Philly steak. We were there for 2 hours. Doesn't make sense. When I stood in line to pay it wasn't busy. They were sitting back there talking and talking. So we just stood there and then I was like excuse me can we pay our bill? We have to go back to work. It's lunch time. Well it used to be lunch time and the lady with the white hair with the ponytail behind the register looked very upset that I wanted to pay for my bill then had the lady come so I could pay the bill. It was just horrible. The food was dry. Terrible kettle chips is the only option for chip. So if you have bad teeth or anything forget that part. Just overall bad experience. I would suggest not going there. I can't believe I have to say that after over 30 years of being a patriot of this business that is went all the way downhill. The lady didn't even let us use the points that we had built up. The person in the front of us got to use theirs but she didn't even ask us ours. She wouldn't even give us the code to the Wi-Fi. She said she didn't know it. I had to call the place next door and asked them to use their Wi-Fi the tattoo parlor because I couldn't use the Wi-Fi in the restaurant that I was eating in so you could take it how you want it. Stopped in because of the interesting appetizers and pizzas and we always like locally-owned restaurants when we are traveling. Had the Fried Mushroom Kebabs and they were delicious (obviously they use fresh oil)! They were huge so got to take 2 home with us! My wife and I both had the combo (salad & pizza slice) - did both the Greek salad and Caesar salad, which both were fresh and crisp. They both had interesting little twists on your normal Greek & Caesar salads. We both got the Supreme Pizza slice - fresh, delicious & full of toppings! Can't go wrong with a combo cost of less than $7! If you haven't checked this place out you need to do so! read more

My husband and I decided to drop in on our anniversary (pizza lovers) since we hadn't been since we moved to WR (3 yrs ago) and it was still ALL GOOD!! The staff is ever so friendly and the food was great!! Even though they were pretty busy, you wouldn't have known it the way our drinks were topped off and food came out hot! We had the the pizza slice and wings for appetizers and BYO cheeseburger pizza and the cookie for dessert and everything was delicious!! I ordered a Stromboli, but I got a calzone. There's a difference. It was decent but the dough was really really thick and some of it was not cooked all the way through. The toppings inside we're also not hot. I would not get that again but the employees were friendly so I will try something else next time. read more

We had a last minute Bday party for our 1year old grandson on 9-16-23. We chose this place because everyone could eat there. we had 15 people. The food was amazing, we had pizza, subs, cheese sticks, garlic nuts, ect. Our waitress RI-LEE K, was amazing she made sure that we had everything. They put the cake in back for us. This is a family run business but they do accept employees outside the family. They are excellent for a quick lunch and a nice date night. They have wonderful food you can ask them to make what you need. It's made on site. You can drop in pick up a pizza and head home you can call an order what you want for a pizza pick it up head home. The staff is so wonderful for 24 years the minute we landed in Warner Robins from Texas. This is our pizza place our restaurant around the corner from our house. 5 minutes from the base. Great place to meet up with other friends big room accommodating all amounts of the people. If you have a large crowd I would make a reservation. But they will accommodate you if you don't. They are that nice and they are absolutely what I've known to be Italian decor all my life from Florida to Texas to Georgia. This is the cutest little restaurant that serves a lot of people and they serve you well with a nice amount of food. The menu is so versatile I was very happy to take 12 people with 10 different appetites and different dietary needs. They all came out said well and happy that we went to my father's Pizza restaurant. Oh is there a takeout but they have a restaurant right next to the wall of the register. CARRY OUT: requested 1/4 of it be Pepperoni only and they were kind to oblige. the sauce leaves something to be desired. seemed like basic tomato paste in taste and texture. veggie toppings were sauteed or marinated and contributed to the sogginess of what could have been a really good crust. i will say the sweat factor from the box probably was the real culprit for a pizza of this size. i'd like to try them one more time eating in rather than carry out to get a real feel for the crust. the pepperoni/cheese only portion was actually more tasty than the side with all of the toppings. will adjust order to something more basic. s/n: i asked the very kind owner if he was aware of his Yelp presence, he has a "webmaster that is bringing him up to speed". cute local spot that i hope continues to do well. read more

The staff was friendly and attentative. Our waiter checked up on us often without being a pest. The restaurant has a nice homey feel to it and the prices are family friendly. $30-50 will feed a family of five to eight. We spent $80 on our first visit and left with two large pizza boxes of leftovers. The calzones and sheet pizza are satisfying. You get what you pay for and then some!,,Chinese take-out may still be better bang for the buck but only marginally so, in most cases. There was a lot of variety in the menu and, I must say, the garlic knots are truly as good as they say! Being a NYCer at heart, I appreciate the generous application of garlic butter and parmesan - we were all dipping everything in the residuals. Fantastic mama and papa establishment.. and I love pizza and Italian so two thumbs up! I used to love this place. That is until today when I spent $25 for a pepperoni with extra cheese pizza and they didn't put the EXTRA in the cheese. They charged me almost $3 for the extra cheese but I didn't get it. Okay. I call the place and the "owner" (or so they said) tells me he "watched" the guy put extra cheese so he wouldn't be fixing the pizza, "cheese costs a lot of money." First of all I've been a manager and the day I have to stand by and "watch" someone do "their job" is the day I would either retrain or let that person go. He didn't watch him make a pizza. I'll never believe that. Point being is he was very rude and not very customer friendly. I won't be going back. If I had a customer, especially a returning customer, that wasn't happy I would try to make them happy. That's just good business. Word of mouth is the best advertisement! read more

This place is absolutely wonderful! My friend recommended and it did not disappoint. My new favorite. We live in Lizella but will be making the trip often. My son had the wet lemon pepper wings. This is a first for me as I like to leave positive reviews but... We have eaten here since 1997 and always send new people in town. I understand there is a new owner which is sadly showing. Pizza is not always cooked/doughy and has to be sent back. I tried to place an order by phone tonight but could not get through. Drove over there to let them know about the phone problem. Was told that the owner told the staff not to answer phones as they were so busy they could not take any more orders. I asked to speak with the owner/manager Tim and was told he was to busy to talk to me. Sir, there are plenty of pizza places in this town that will gladly take our $$. Stop hiding behind your employees, be a man and talk to your customers umm ex-customers. P.S. It is wonderful you are so busy that you don't need more business. And very reasonably priced. I bought 3 for pizza party at work, and they were more than enough.
