Time for an update since my last review! I'm happy to say that after 13 years, I'm still coming here! Best of the best. Served fresh, made to order, hand sliced meats and cheese right in front of you, veggies sourced locally and melt in your mouth cookies. When they say it's a freshness you can taste, they aren't lying. Notoriously they only accepted cash or check for years, but they have finally ventured out to accept venmo and cash app. There is an ATM inside though if you need it. But do not let this deter you! It's well worth it. Lots of seating inside. During lunch they can have a long line but it moves quick. You also have the option to call your order in ahead. I stopped in to check it out. Located in an older strip mall at the very end. Bright and clean inside. Staff friendly and helpful. Menu is simple but you can add pretty much what you want to your sandwich. I got the Super Sub #9, which is a basic Italian style without the salami. Bread is thinner than many sub shops but that leans to an easy to eat and well balanced sandwich. The meat is the star of the show and the flavor was very good and fresh. They accept cash, card, cashapp and Venmo. Overall a nice spot and will likely stop again when coming through this area. read more

Food: once you've had a Brian's sub, nothing else can measure up. From the fan favorite #10 to a flavorful meatball there's just no comparison. They do offer call ahead for takeout as well as catering yummy sub trays. At lunch time the line can be intimidating but it moves fast because they have excellent employees. The employees are friendly and accommodating. You can have your sandwich dressed exactly how you'd like it. As far as ambience goes, well, it's a sub shop. It's spotlessly clean and cheerful. People from all across the community eat there. You'll find professionals in suits and professionals in work clothes, doctors and nurses and ladies that lunch. All in all, it's one of my favorite go to's whether it's an eat in lunch or a take out for supper. Can't go wrong. read more

We came here from a recommendation from my boss that used to work nearby. Great sub shop and easily the best food we tried in Dublin! We were visiting my dad in the hospital in Dublin and had to bring him one too. He comes to Dublin often and never had it before! I've created a monster I think because that is going to be one of his spots now. The Brian's special was SO good! I ate 1/4th and was full. These subs are giant. The bread is very tasty and fresh. My husband made a rookie mistake and got a cheesesteak and the meat was identical to the SteakUms I make at home. This isn't the spot for a cheesesteak, but their deli subs are great! read more

We were in town for a Baseball Conference and decided to stop in for a quick dinner. These subs are Amazing. The bread is so soft and fresh. After taking your order, they slice your meat and cheese on the spot for your sandwiches. The condiments are crispy and fresh as well. (We both ordered large subs and saved 1/2 for lunch the next day because they were so large.) The staff is super quick and we were in and out in under 10 minutes and the gentleman in front of us had ordered 10 subs. They flew through the task in minutes. The guys working there are super friendly and smiling through the whole process; they ask you questions and engage with their customers which is rare these days. Stop in if you're in town, you won't be sorry. Take note though, they're closed on Sundays. read more

I am a local here in Dublin. Brian's Giant Subs is one of the best local food spots in Dublin. The food is always fresh and consistently great, and they keep things simple without all the fluff the big national chains have. We went to BGS for lunch today. It was around 11:30 a.m. and the line wasn't bad; maybe 6 people in front of us. It seems we just missed the lunch rush because there was a long line when we left. Tried out a new to us Sub place! Ordered a salad and my husband ordered a tuna sub. He said the bread was "ok" but not great! The salad was $10, but it was huge! Had 2 meals out of it. We took it to go because it was pretty warm inside. Make sure you bring cash or have cash app or Venmo because they do not take credit cards! I've been to many sub shops - none where the ninja is slicing the meat *a sandwich at a time* WHILE taking the orders. This is next level right there. We had the Brian Special sub (highly recommend! Brian's Giant Subs is a local, mom-and-pop, old school sub shop that understands the simple concept that eludes so many that there should be nothing fancy about a sub sandwich. The roots of the sub sandwich are definitely blue collar, me to feed hungry workers in a quick and efficient manner and for a decent price point. Some sub and sandwich shops have tried to elevate this simple concept and honestly, it usually does not work. Again, there is nothing fancy about Brian's Giant Subs. Neither the interior nor exterior give you an illusion that you are eating anything fancy or that you are going to have an experience and dining. Again, the sub is definitely a culinary wonder and will always be one of my favorite meals. However, as I said before, there is nothing fancy about a sub sandwich. However, you get all the food groups between two slices of bread. How can you go wrong with that? The staff is extremely professional and friendly and did not fat and I as the line progressively got longer. Brian's Giant Subs is a popular stop here in Dublin, Georgia and after tasting one of their subs, you will see why. When I was seven years old I drowned in a river near my house. I was saved by an off duty fire man who was out walking his dog. They say I was dead for at least three minutes. I remember every second of those three minutes. I don't remember a transition between living and dying. One second I was fighting to hold my breath and then poof, I was standing back on the river bank, only it seemed to be night time. The river wasn't flowing anymore; it seemed to be vibrating. The only light was a faint pale one. I attributed it to the moon but when I looked up there was no moon, no stars either, just black. When I looked back to the river, there was a man floating inches above the water. I noticed he was naked and the pale light was coming from his skin. His face looked alive but his body looked like it had been dead for years. Ill never forget his face, I recognized it immediately. It wasn't an angel or a demon. It was Brian from Brian's Subs. At least some version of him. I waved to him and he looked confused. Like he was surprised I could see him. Then poof I was gasping for air and surrounded by people. I was alive again. I looked to the water but Brian wasn't there. Over the years I'd stop by Brain's Giant Subs and stare at Brian through the front window. I tell myself I'm going to go inside and talk to him but I never have. He's never said anything to me and I have never said anything to him. We just share a few moments of eye contact, no nod or anything. He gives me the same look he gave me on that river. Like he's trying to figure out if I can see him or not. Anyways, I'm moving out of state tomorrow. I figured l'd finally tell my story. Great sandwiches too. read more

This is always my go-to place when I'm in the area. Homemade subs are the best, and who's better at homemade than Brian's? It's quick, clean, and probably one of the best subs you'll have. I was with a group and I recommended eating there. Well, the next day, we all returned back for lunch, lol. I went here for lunch on a weekday with my 90 year old friend. It was busy and the line was backed up into the back room. We waited in line patiently for 20 or more minutes and there were some high school baseball parents right ahead of us. Their whole team came in the front door and joined their parents and broke ahead of us. Sorry but this is not acceptable. I called in an order 25 min before my arrival. The customers that came in behind me were getting served, paid and out the door before me and then I find that my order was not even started yet. I ordered the 1/2 cheese steak with extra cheese and mayo, no drink, no chips. I was charged $9.06 for this 1/2 sandwich and it was not prepared as I ordered. This sandwich was no bigger than a hotdog, maybe... Definitely not worth the price paid for it. I've ordered just a few times in the past couple of years. 2 stars is the best I could give each time. read more
