100% hands down the best Italian Food around! I don't know what more to say than that. Upon entering the establishment, you are welcomed by a quaint, rustic and somewhat romantic vibe. The smell of fresh herbs, spices and Italian food enters your nostrils making your stomach growl. Once seated, you are served warm bread with a homemade olive oil and herb blend. They have a full bar, wine, sangria with fresh fruits, beer and of course coke products. The menu features pizzas, pastas, salads, chef specials, sandwiches among other delicious palate satisfying plates. You can't go wrong with the chicken parmesan, lasagna or the baked spaghetti. My husband loves their chicken cacciatori, steak regina and the calzones. Restrooms are very well kept and clean. Service is great. They are attentive without being overbearing. We had lunch at Deano's Italian on a Tuesday afternoon. We were warmly greeted when we arrived and promptly seated. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan, which was really good! My hubby ordered lasagna and he said it was just okay, that's why it's 4 stars instead of 5. My son ordered the kids' cheese pizza and he did not care for it, but that's because the pizza was thinner than he liked, not a surprise or big deal. The restaurant is nice inside and if you wanted a nicer ambiance in downtown Dublin, this is a good option. Overall it was a good experience and I would definitely go back. read more

Me and hubby were in town visiting and had to stop by here Deano's was so good. I had the calzone and my hubby had the lasagna. I am not exaggerating when I say it was the best I've had. A nice find along our drive from Savannah back to Albany, Georgia. A variety of options, a decent enough beer selection. Our serve was friendly and attentive. We didn't need to wait long for our drinks, menus, and to place our orders. A lovely spot in a unique downtown area. Good from a wander about if you've been driving for a long time. Price was amazingly reasonable for the best Italian meal we have ever eaten, bar none. Menu had many wonderful selections. I had the caprese salad, with a 5 oz piece of salmon, my husband had the spaghetti casserole, an Arnold Palmer lemonade/tea We shared 2 baskets of wonderful bread, olive oil and balsamic vinegar, Roman fries, and a slice of Italian lemon cream cake. Flavors were amazingly good. Service couldn't have been better. Though a fifty mile drive, we definitely plan to repeat the gastronomic experience soon. Deano's deserves more than a five star. The rustic, country decor was a perfect setting to celebrate our 60th wedding anniversary. read more

Deano's Italian is a great place to grab either pizza or a slew of other Italian favorites. Honestly, I was surprised that this place was so good. I just did not expect a hidden gem offering wonderful Italian good in such an out of the way place as Dublin, Georgia. The inside of the establishment definitely has a nice vibe and only enhanced the overall dining experience. Service was friendly and professional and the food was great, especially considering that no one is going to consider Dublin, Georgia as a destination place for quality Italian food. I ended up going with a pizza since everyone was praising the pizza from here. I grew up in New Jersey and just took it for granted that great pizza was on every corner in every city, town or borough. When I moved down south back in 2001, I was surprised and honestly a bit dismayed that good pizza was not on every corner. In fact, good pizza might not even be available in every town. That is why finding good pizza is a moment to celebrate and the best way to celebrate a find such as this is with a slice of pizza in hand. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and I give it five stars. read more

I had shrimp and grits on Monday afternoon. the grits were so salty I could hardly eat my meal. I ate the shrimp but very little of the grits. it was almost as if instead of a teaspoon of salt was added a heaping tablespoon was added. 5 miles off the Hwy to support Dublins local friendly Italian hot spot. The tell tell sign of a local favorite was a wait list at 7:30 on Friday. The staff recognized the locals and welcomed the newbies. We had the best seat, the bar. Katie kept the entire restaurant's glasses full and was ready to ensure all concoctions wet your whistle so your tune was merry. Eggplant Parmesan was served fresh out of the pan (not casserole dish), homemade bread with oil and herbs, Stromboli and Cesar salad hit the spot at a reasonable price. I'd recommend trying chefs specials (grouper and pork medallions were available when we visited) not because our meal had anything wrong but because our selection probably did not show off the kitchens talent like they would. Looking forward to coming back through Dublin and getting my Buckeye ( Dirty Monkey banana peanut butter with chocolate baileys n cream) when we are not traveling as far. Note: parking is in front and back. Also there are many interesting shops (local merchants) in case you are looking for a side trip off the 4 lane to stretch your legs, wet your whistle and feed that Italian craving. read more

Staying in Dublin while riding the BRAG. Our cycling team chose Deano's for dinner. We had 14 in our group so they seated us at 2 tables. They were slammed due to BRAG in town but they handled it with ease. The bread and dipping oil they start you off with was so good! Our waiteress, Kiki did a superb job in getting all of our orders and taking good care of us all night. My friend and I shared a pepperoni pizza and the baked spaghetti. Everything was so fresh and the sauce had the best flavor. Several in our group got steaks, fish or crab cakes and all were super pleased. If you try this place out ask for Kiki and leave her a big tip. . read more

The pizzas that we ordered were very delicious, however, we waited for 30 minutes to be seated but there were eight tables empty. I think the staff was short and having to cut back tables to offer decent service. The food was worth the wait anyway. The waitress was great. Deano's is located in the very center of Dublin, GA. As I was passing by the town and needed a break, I wanted to have something light yet tasty. Deano's looks really nice outside, with brick wall and that good, old style so I entered. I learned the day's special was lobster ravioli so I ordeted it. Excellent choise it was, indeed. Not overwhelming size at all, but it was such a tasty treat I don't remember when I had anything similar. The house-made creme brule was equally an experience I'm completely happy with! read more
