Loved this little place. Great burgers and cute atmosphere. Will definitely bring our friends.

Amazing little place run by a very nice couple. They have a simple menu of only hotdogs and these delicious mini hamburgers. We got a bag of 10 assorted burgers, including: Plain double w/cheese Plain triple Slaw Chili Pickle (They were out of Jalepeño) They're well suited for quick take-out, each burger is individually wrapped, and it's all served on a brown paper bag. Some reviews here try to compare these mini burgers to sliders like Krystal .., there is no comparison! The beef used in these burgers is made into tiny odd-shaped clumps, and fried to perfection. The buns are soft and thick, and each variety of burger has plenty of good toppings. These are very tasty! The sack of 10 was perfect for two hungry adults to share for lunch. And, they have a nice selection of chips to round out the meal. I'm glad to have discovered Jacks! They were one of the only non-chain lunch places open on a Sunday! read more

I love trying new things and experiencing new places. If you peruse my reviews, then you already know this, but Jack's just plain did not deliver a pleasing overall experience. Extremely narrow inside. Put it this way, I didn't make it past the register since there was only about 2 ft of available space to walk. I was told by my fiance that they used to have a different location; why they downgraded to a smaller place, I do not know. I used his judgement to decide what to get and he ordered us 8 triples with mustard, ketchup and onions. They do not offer cheese, nor any other toppings. Nor fries. Or onion rings. Or salad. Just chips. It came to $30. Shocked and confused, I told the man we only brought a $20 and I assumed it would cover the amount. I couldn't imagine how each burger would be about $3.50 when the sign on the wall said they'd be $1.89...So I suggested we take off our drinks and get singles instead. He said he could not change anything since it was already put in and that there was a bank around the corner. Excuse me? Oh, they only accept cash. Well, we walked down the sidewalk to the bank and contemplated just driving away. We ultimately withdrew $20 (with the additional $2.50 surcharge since it wasn't our bank) and went back; well my fiance went back, I was too infuriated to go back inside. He walked out with a smile. Turns out the gentleman had rung us up for someone else's order in addition to ours, so they corrected it and charged us the correct $16. The meat patties are about a silver dollar sized, deep fried a little and slid in between two tiny steamed buns. Granted, they were good but the ketchup was too sweet for my liking and I'm not a fan of mustard. I read on the other reviews they were compared to Krystals or White Castle, but in my personal opinion the only thing they had in common was their size. Plus, we had to order a "triple" to get any taste of the meat. If I remember correctly, you can order 12 Krystals burgers and with cheese for less than the price of Jack's. I'm a supporter of local establishments and rarely frequent chain restaurants unless necessary, but with my experience today, I will be passing them by unless someone else is buying. read more

This is a cute little place and definitely A-ok. Friendly service, and nice food combinations. No real complaints, so an overall good experience. The food itself wasn't anything too exciting, but the slaw and chili burgers were good. If I lived here, I might go back for the chili burger. :) read more

I love to cater to one of a kind local cafes that have a long history but this small long and narrow counter restaurant in downtown Dublin may be a local intuition since it's been around since the '30 but the hamburgers are not very good at all. The burgers are very small slider like mini burgers with meat paddies the size of a child's palm. They are greasy and mostly consisted of bun and do not come with lettuce, tomato, mayonaise or cheese as any options nor do they serve even french fries....just these sorry, salty burgers and hot dogs (which I did not try) and sodas. The workers were friendly enough but have VERY thick accents to the point I could barely understand what they were saying and the cafe was not very clean. Other patrons were quite hospitable and evidently LOVED the place and have been coming here since they were youngsters. Me thinks NOT! read more

I remember when there used to be more than just the one left. When I was little (not that long ago, btw, I'm 25) the current Jack's was Jacks III. I've been enjoying these burgers my whole life. Some of the criticism I see is that the place is small, but honestly, it hasn't ever bothered me. It's more of a lunch counter than a restaurant, so you don't go to Jack's to sit down and eat a meal. You pop in for a quick bite and get on with your day. My go to order is 2 doubles all the way, and they are absolutely delicious. I could probably eat about 5 doubles all the way (ketchup, mustard, onions, hot sauce; these are all their toppings), like some others have said, but really, who needs that much food? As for the prices, they're so cheap! Just today I got 4 singles and 4 doubles and it all rung up to $11! Sure there are no fries or onion rings or what not, but that's the point of Jack's! You go in, grab a few small, simple burgers, maybe a can of coke or a bag of chips, have a quick bite, then go back to work! read more

A real treat and a taste of childhood. Plain and simple...f you are looking for a model establishment/restaurant experience this isn't it. If what you are looking for is a small piece of Southern Americana and one of the smallest tastiest mini burgers on planet earth...this place will make you happy. I've driven 60 miles out of he way just to get them. You owe it to yourself to try them and don't let the appearance of the establishment, the customers, or employees scare you away from it. read more

You'll have to pack in because the restaurant is super narrow and small! The hamburgers are served on buns like you would find at Krystals. For the hamburgers think meatballs squished flat and then fried in a shallow pan of grease. Don't worry about toppings here, only four to choose from: Mustard, Ketchup, Chipped Onions and Hot Sauce! I recommend them all. You can choose your burger single or double on your bun. Again the burger are very small, honestly too small but this is a great place to try. Only chips to accompany your meal also. Cash only. You may not leave full but you should leave happy none the less!!! read more

Really glad I finally was in Dublin near lunch time and stopped (Dublin is a town I drive through once every year or two on the way from Athens, Georgia to the Georgia coast). This is a true local burger. Two tiny sliders on a steamed bun with a little ketchup but with mustard and chopped onions predominating. I found it very good, far better than a Krystal or White Castle burger which it would remind one of. I had three doubles with a bottled Coke, which seemed like a good amount of food. read more

Amazing. I eat here every time I come home. The burgers are delicious. The only thing I would change is the size of the patties. You need to order at least a double to be able to really taste the meat. Now....on to the meat. I have no idea how they make their meat or what they put in it but it is way better than any chain restaurant I have ever been to. Highly recommended. read more

I live right down the road, but we usually only have a card and no cash when we want to stop in. You haven't lived until you eat at Jacks! Once a large place on main street it has now moved to a little place down the street and around the corner! Simple small burgers with a wonderful flavor!! ack's Famous Hamburgers has been in business for over 50 years. It's tiny, just like it's burgers, maybe 10' wide with maybe 15 stools. The menu consists of burgers and hot dogs, no sides other than chips in a bag. The meat on the bun is tiny, as big as a 50 cent piece, so when ordering you'll need a double (two tiny pieces of meat) or a triple (three tiny pieces of meat). There are choices of several condiments and the buns are soft and yummy. The burgers are good and make it to your plate in a hurry. The waiter is also the cook, a guy with great stories about Dublin and the surrounding area. Most of the clientele are locals who have known one another forever. They love to share the history of Dublin with visitors. It's one of those places where you have to go just to say you did. A quick, cheap lunch and a history lesson. Jack's has been around for a very long time and if you try this place you'll see why. The burgers are small but very tasty. I could eat ten of them. The toppings are very limited. I like mine all the way. You would not expect to find a place like this anywhere but small towns in the south. I wouldn't expect an Okie to like it at all. read more
