Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday. We go through Soperton on Hwy 15 on our way to FL. We have seen the sign but this was the first time we stopped. Hands down the best brisket I have had outside of TX. The chicken was moist. The ribs were average but still good. As far as the sides; the slaw, stew, and okra were great. The beans were ok but I prefer sweet over spicy beans and the do have a bite. The service was what I would call laid back and there was no question about the fact that we were not locals. Definitely will try to time lunch here again some time. read more

Food is always fresh and delicious. Tonight my wife and I dined here at one of our hometown eateries. It had been awhile since we've eaten inside. Normally we would order and pickup but my wife wanted to eat in. Customer service was great given to us by our dear friend Riley whom we've known since she was a young girl. Great place for BBQ. Driving through 221 stopped in for lunch and it was the best decision of the day. Brisket was so tender no need for a knife and not the normal paper-thin slices these were handcut thick. I had a loaded baked potato with brisket and it delicious.
