The sides were good at this establishment but I wish the meat had a little more seasoning on it. The service was wonderful.

please stop selling/making "pecan pie". Awful interpretation. Enough pecans to choke a horse Silver dollar size pie , for $3.24. complete rip off and very disappointing. can purchase an entire Marie Calender pie with filling that you can actually taste and see for just $3 more. read more

The Best Southern Heritage Brunswick Stew is Great. They Have Great Milkshakes. and Brunswick Stew

First time visiting and I give them an A+. The loaded bake potato was wonderful and my husband had bbq sandwich with fries. Very friendly and good!!! read more

If I could give this place a zero, I would. Almost 50 dollars for dry brisket and very few pieces of it. Old,greasy, shoestring fries. And the "philly steak and cheese" comes on a small roll bought from Kroger. The beef was cold and dry. The whole thing was wrapped in plastic wrap. The Brunswick Stew was probably the best part of the meal, and even that wasn't great. Had to load it down with hot sauce just to give it flavor. The service was...eh. The ambience was very MAGA/Republican/ick. Wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. read more

The best service and food. Every day lunch, catering, take home dinner, funeral, well priced and easy.

This is a delicious restaurant. The CrossFit special is my favorite,it is 1/2 chicken with a sweet potato. The chicken is cooked good and the sweet potatoes are bussin. You should definitely eat here if you're in the area. read more

Terrible food it was cold and dry my brother even seen bugs in his i really hope No one finds theses bugs

Expected better taste bread was to come with meal got home no bread in take out even after request for extras bread

Only ever tried the BBQ from here...but that is reason enough to stop off here when in Dublin. I had first tried Southern Heritage Bar-B-Que at a company Christmas party and have been hooked ever since. read more

These ribs are deeeelicious- tender fall off the bone ribs. I even love their coleslaw and baked potatoes and those are sides that I infrequently order elsewhere. I must admit the staff is friendly. Will come outside (even in the rain) and take your order so that you get your food faster. read more

I mostly come here for the loaded baked potatoes!!! My daughter gets a BBQ sandwich, so we decided to do a taste test to compare BBQ sandwiches... The pork sandwich here was smaller, but the price is lower to the place we compared it to... Also, the pork here was more menaced... Maybe next we will compare they ribs! But I'll always get their loaded baked potato!!! read more

I thought it was very good. Friendly service. I all ways try the coleslaw at places that have it ,good slaw

We ate there for lunch on Friday 9/1. Ribs & sausage were good. Didn't like the beef brisket, it was sliced thin & very dry. Didn't care for the beans, potato salad, Brunswick stew or the sauce. The cashier was friendly & the pound cake was good. read more

Great every time! Chicken salad has become legendary. Healthy option in the "CrossFit Special". I've been all over the menu and everything is good. read more

These were the tenderest ribs ever!!! I got them without sauce and they were perfect to taste. The Brunswick stew and Cole slaw were both excellent. We also have the pulled pork sandwich which was so tender and sauced perfectly. We drove an hour to get here and will definitely be back!!! read more

I'm from the west coast and was on a road trip through the south. I was excited for some authentic southern BBQ and was very disappointed. The portion sizes were really small, and the meat was a little cold. The sauce was ok, but didn't make up for the few thin slices of brisket they gave me for $12. I've been to a bunch of BBQ places in the south and can honestly say this one was the only one that left me disappointed. Would definitely recommend avoiding this place. read more

Always great service. Perfect if you just need to grab lunch or if u need last minute meals for churches or to take to a family. They are amazing. read more

This is where you come if you want overpriced, cheaply made, boiled, steamed, and mush "bbq". I mean seriously I worked with Navy cooks that made stuff like this. And their reputation preceded them. We called what they made dog food and it wasn't much better. For real, look at the picture of that stuff slapped on a Great Value bun. What my pic shows is the Lunch Special. I gotta admit it is "special". And when I asked to sub the chips for potato salad the manager first said no-charge, then she changed her mind, so then she charged me another $1.15 for the 2 ounces of vinegar mash she gave me. The Brunswick stew really did look like dog sick. It didn't taste that much better with the exception that they like a lot of vinegar in this place--the potato salad, the stew, and the sauce mixed in with the meat. Brunswick stew is great when done right. And ever better when it's the real deal made with game. But this was more like that "Campbell's" vegetable soup recipe our moms made that we all ate as kids but nowhere near as good. Not even close. And the cooks must have been raised during the depression because the water content was doubled. Or maybe it was the extra vinegar--or crappy ketchup. No stew here, just thin soup. I have reviewed before about something you might find on your tray at school, and I'll say it again. This was true school lunch style food. Right up there with UFOs (fried bologna with a mashed potato scoop). Now maybe you like that stuff, but I wasn't fortunate enough NOT to have to pay for it like in the Free Lunch program. I think I got the shaft cause I musta paid for the equivalent of several lunch trays in value for this. And I didn't even get a milk! I have had some good bbq in Georgia, but this weren't it. Yes I was in the South, and yes there is a heritage here, apparently. But I would say that this is either a penal farm or a carpetbagger recipe. I certainly wouldn't go around implying it is anything from a respectable Dixie cookbook. read more

See all

always always delicious, no matter what i order..... but the cheese burger. ribs and apple tarts are a few of my favs.

These guys get it, friendly staff, EXCELLENT BBQ!!! Their ribs are on point, the fries are amazing, sweet tea is rocking! My favorite is the Sausage Slaw dog. My only advice, find a better name for the Sausage Slaw dog, it doesn't just roll of the lips. That is the only thing I can think of and honestly it's kind petty. You guys always treat me like a member of my family. Thanks so much! read more

This is a consistently good place that our family agrees on, or with a group of friends as well. We really really like the BBQ and often will pick up one of the convenience packs to eat at home. In the winter its nice to have the choice of soup with a sandwich or even cornbread. Never had anything I didn't like. Good stuff and not overpriced! read more

Real simple and cheap. I caught a delicious BBQ pulled pork sandwich that was fresh and tasty. The Brunswick stew was good but I felt needed to be more thick and filling. Try this locally owned BBQ place if you're driving by! read more

Great bbq! Sauce should be optional, I agree with other yelpers on this because they everyone is different and some days it's more than I'd prefer but it's still good either way. Potato salad is super good! The cross fit special is extremely popular among health conscious people but for those who aren't they have awesome baked goods for dessert (my fav is the chocolate cake). read more

We spent a week in Georgia. This 'dining' experience was the low point of our trip. I should've looked closer at the photos of the food already posted. The BBQ chicken looked just like the photo (chicken in a blender) and it was soggy & tasteless. read more

This is a family owned business. Therefore it gets 4 stars. The BBQ ribs have a deep smoke rig and good flavor. They weren't fall off the bone but they weren't naw off the bone either. JUUST RIIIGHT! They have a huge menu. Its not going to impress you if your looking for music and ambiance. The previous reviewers must have came on a bad day or they were having a bad day! Everyone has them. But the lunch To Go line was wrapped around the building. And all seats were filled on the inside. All 10 of my work mates loved it. That speaks for its self. Try it! read more

This is one of the best barbeque places I have been to! Ribs and bbq sandwiches were delicious! Brunswick stew was great! Enjoyed the mac and cheese bites too! We will be going back again! read more

Yuck this place just isn't for me yet somehow I really like Ricks in East Dublin and somehow the two are related! I had the Brisket today and it came straight out of the refrigerator. I could tell it was over cooked once I saw it come out of the frig but I had already paid for it at that moment. They then microwaved it to hell and back again thus ensuring it would be nice and dried out! I know why the brisket is dried out after cooking in the smoker, it is not properly cut! Some of the pieces were very tall, they need to trim the brisket to a uniform shape so they don't have to overcook it. A little heavier rub wouldn't be bad on the outside also! read more

Wonderful find in Dublin. Great menu choices, very lean BBQ sandwich and the stew was fantastic!

Had pulled pork & green beans. Excellent pulled pork! Friendly staff m. Glad we pulled of I16 & found them.

Unexciting and hopefully not "the best BbQ in Dublin" as touted on visitdublinga.com The chopped chicken was almost pureed, and the beef brisket seemed microwaved. The sauce was super runny and not flavorful. The untoasted white bread was stale. The macaroni cheese bites were goo, tho. Sorry for the unfavorable review, but after searching Dublin for an hour for good food, we let ourselves down by eating at a bbq place with no smoke rolling off the kitchen. read more

Best BBQ around.. Great family owned business...

Driving down to Hilton Head after flying into Atlanta from Denver, I was desperately trying to find a good place to stop and eat. Unaccustomed to seeing small BBQ shacks, we almost passed over Southern Heritage for the larger, more impressive looking "Zaxby's" right down the road. When I did decide to give the unassuming eatery a chance, I was delighted to see a surprisingly clean, family owned business with affordable prices, and fresh cooked food. Ribs can be bought be the pound, or by the rack, and their signature sauces offer variety for those (like myself) who sometimes cannot stand extremely spicy food. Even more interesting was to see that the place appeared to be the local favorite, and one often experienced the movie style phrase of "the regular?" Followed by a complex order being delivered without a word said by the customer. A great place for those driving through, or living in the area. Don't be turned off by the humble outside. Southern Heritage BBQ is worth the trip. Pros: Clean restaurant with well maintained restroom. Cheap prices and great food. Also, a drive thru for hurried travelers. Cons: Small restaurant size, not many tables read more

It's so good! We enjoyed the Guest Pack recently and there wasn't a bit of it leftover- our out of town company loved it. We also regularly get the prime rib sandwich, never a let down! This is great tasting barbecue, with fast service, dining in or drive through! Very friendly customer service!

Had tried the brisket here a few months ago and was disappointed. Decided to give them another try yesterday since it's a locally owned place. I was in a huge rush and the drive thru line was wrapped around the building. I decided to order from inside and was able to walk up straight to the counter and place an order for just a BBQ sandwich since I assumed it would be the easiest/fastest. Big mistake. After waiting 20 minutes I asked about my order and was told it would be right out. After another 20 minutes I gave up and asked for a refund. They then somehow came up with my sandwich. Didn't get an explanation or an apology or anything. The drive thru line had cycled thru several times during my wait. The gentleman that waited on me with the shaved head seemed to be in charge/ manager/owner, but that's just a guess. A simple apology would have gone a long way, but I guess that would have been too much. read more
