Unless you are "state-certified" they will give you nothing other than 7.25 an hour no matter how many years experience you have. I was told I would be hired in at 8 an hour as long as I worked under 40 hours a week, and when I asked if I could have $0.50 more, or full-time I was told, "I'm going to ask my husband and I will get back to you as soon as I do". Instead of them getting back to me in the professional manner, she never got back to me at all. I WILL NOT GO BACK... THEY WILL NEVER HAVE MY BUSINESS... AND I WILL NOT NOW OR EVER REFER THEM TO ANYONE. It is highly unprofessional to handle your business this way, or handle other people who come in for interviews this way. Especially when I was promised one thing and then told something totally different. When I spoke with owner she talbe me, " I can give you is 7.25 an hour, unless you're State Certified", and I replied "But you said that I would be getting 8.00 an hour". She did not want to hear that and made every excuse to actually renege and retract what she said. Not to mention the fact that she and her husband whom I spoke to originally new that I was not State Certified which I divulged during my very first interview before my second as well as informing her at the view beginning of the second interview. How can a business owner expect to say small businesses make the community but you treat the community who comes in there looking for job as if they're some scum living on the streets and deserve no respect at all. Because when you respect someone you give them the common courtesy to do exactly what you say you're going to do. NO TOWN needs businesses like that...
