This is the best place on hull street to get your nails done the chairs for pedicures see nice and the service is always good. I love getting a shellac manicure and they do a nice job with them. They last me at least 3-4 weeks because I get the French manicure and as my nails grow out you can't see the difference. With pedicures the staff takes their time doing a nice job of getting under the nail and really cleaning out the unnecessary growth. Even when they are busy they take the time to do things right. The owner Tammy is frequently here and makes sure that things are going well and customers are happy. I never leave feeling like I need to go home and do more because they missed something and if you are ever unhappy I know they will make things right. read more

I found Lucky Nails by a fluke, after leaving another nail Salon where the wait was 30 min. When I walked in it was empty and I was glad so they could took me quickly to get a pedicure. I know Mondays are sometimes slow for many Salons. I picked my color and sat in the chair and placed my feet in the water. I starting reading the reviews ' cause that's what we Yelpers do and there were some disturbing and some good reviews. I talked with the lady who were doing my pedi, I think she and her husband are the owners and she was very cordial but didn't speak much English bit told me she had been in Va for over 10 yrs. She scrubbed my rough feet well and lotioned them up and placed the hot towel on them and then processed to paint them. After that she picked up my pocketbook and put my flip flops on my feet and guides me to the area where you let your nails dry. By then another young lady came and she started on her. I had No problems. I asked how much did it cost to wax eyebrows and she said $8. I get mine threaded but I read in one of the reviews that a young lady was charged $22, $11 for each brow. read more

Just dropped in to get a design: I was actually just trying something new(was hoping one if the techs would have creativity enough to jump in for the challenge). I was immediately told no and that "Polish doesn't exist that does what you want". I wanted a gradient color, which shouldn't be too hard, but u don't need to be a rocket scientist to at least try it- being a manicurist I would hope you'd have some sort of creativity but I guess this shop isn't one of them. Anyway I just got an acrylic fill instead. No traditional mani w the cuticle softening, massaging, or oil OR lotion at the end. 3 stars bc the basic job was done halfway decent (and it was cheap- let's see how long it lasts). And only 3 stars bc they def could've tried harder- the girl who first told me no just scuttled off somewhere. Whn I selected my polish (that I eventually just didn't want) the same girl tells me I'm w another tech. Ok cool. I wound up leaving without any polish bc I preferred having them bare if the techs couldn't take the initiative and try. It wasn't thAt busy in there either. Also, I would up polishing my own nails in a gradient style myself. Sad really. read more

I don't even know how many stars to give. I have been withholding a review in hopes that service would improve. I frequent this shop because it is awfully close to my home. The first time I went in, I was extremely pleased with the service I got. The second time was not so great. I got gel polish over my fill in to preserve my manicure for a vacation. The gel started to peel a few days after. Never had this happened before. When I got this service I requested a polish change to match the gel, which was black. When I left the shop it was dark and I didn't notice the wrong color. 100 miles away from the shop, I noticed my toes were blue and clashed. Upon my return I asked the owner to correct the color since he used a color I didn't want. He corrected the color but I was charged for it. I decided to go to another shop in short pump which has great service for my more regular upkeep after this incident But being pressed for time I went one last time. I had a soak of and overlay placed on my nails. I was charged for a full set. I asked for coffin shaped nails, as you see from the picture, they are very square. The towels used were stained. My polish wasn't done to the edges. In addition, all of my nails are varying thickness. I will be returning to short pump shops. This shop needs work. read more

Tammy Nails is one of my beauty stops in the Midlo area. I do enjoy getting a pedi here and there and I love that the staff always does an amazing job. I have never had to wait- I do walk-in's and get immediately seated. I have also had my eyebrows waxed here and they do such a great job- natural, cleaned up look that polished. I also go to their other location down the road, but regardless of which one i stop into, i always leave happier than i came in. And, for less than 25 beans, you are getting a great deal. read more

My nails after 4 days looked awful and I didn't even get a full manicure the lady cut my cuticles and painted them.I didn't get a hand massage... Nothing!! I went back and showed them and they told me oh that's your nails growing out but my shellac was peeling my nails don't grow that fast in four days. Second visit there and i will NEVER RETURN!! I went last Sunday Jan 22... acrylic fill in and gel polish was great that day! This should easily last 2-3 weeks.Two days later gel begins to chip. At first I thought Id live with it but it got worse... I paid 30.00 + tip for this service and within a week i had chipped polish. So i go back today Jan 30. I tell them i was just there and showed them the chipped nails. They removed the polish and repolished all of my nails (at least 6 were chipping)...How much you ask? Because im thinking free in the caae i just paid you for your shitty polish 7 days ago!?The lady said TWENTY DOLLARS!!!!!!! I was dumfounded as I said it was YOUR POLISH THAT CHIPPED and I got the same color and you want $20.00!!!??? A male worker comes over and says something in to her and they agree $15.00. $15.00 for their supplies apparently not being of any quality because I have NEVER had my polish chip on my acrylic nails.
