I'm giving two stars because they were nice, but 1 star on how my nails came out. I went in for a full set & pedicure. Pedicure came out fine, but asked for gel on my nails and the lady doing my nails kept insisting I do powder dip... I'm guessing she was trying to get more money because it's more expensive. She kept stating how powder last longer, feels better, has no smell...My first and last time getting powder, I got a french tip and it came out very uneven. Constantly had to ask her to refile certain nails that were crooked. After I left the top coat of polish cracked on 1 of my nails the same day, I went back to get it fixed, in the same night another nail cracked again. It's too expensive for my nails to be cracking the same day I get it done. Would not recommend coming here to get your nails done. read more

They were nice. My person seemed new and the others seemed to be telling her what to do which is ok. We all have to start somewhere. Her paint was a bit clumpy and sparse. But, I was ok with that. Day before our wedding and we (my fiancee and I) needed to get cleaned up. Our first stop was the mall BUT there was an hour wait. We could have gotten something to eat and just hung out for an hour but I hate waiting. I whipped out my phone and leaned on Yelp for suggestions near our location. Although they only had one review I was interested in Hawaii Nails and Spa. After giving them a call and being told there was no wait time we left the mall and headed over. We were greeted warmly and with fresh fruit. All of the ladies were sweet, receptive, and worked hard to take care of us. Since it was our special day soon we opted for the SPA Mani/Pedi package (it was pricey for the two of us $150) BUT it was sooooooooooo soooooooooo sooooooooo worth it. We were able to pick our sent, I chose lavender, and it involved pampering like i have never experienced before (including a sugar scrub, hot stone massage, hot towel wrap and more)! No matter if you need a simple manicure or you are pulling out all the stops and going for the gold this is a wonderful place to visit! read more

I went to my usual nail salon only to learn that it's the new location of Hawaii Nails and Spa! My previous acrylics done by the prior shop were very thick and chunky. Having never had acrylics done before, I didn't realize how fat they were until they were filed down and redone at Hawaii! The shaping is a lot more consistent too. I get so many compliments on my nails and always reply "you should go to Hawaii Nails!" $35 for a fill and premium gel polish that lasts until I need another fill. I happened on this place when trying to find a new nail shop that's closer to home. I am very picky and particular about my nails. I also usually do something more than just a solid color or accent nail. I like long statement nails, this makes it hard to find someone that can do it correctly. My nail technician was sweet, and happy to change anything I asked her to. I asked for my nails a little more tapered, she always checked with me if that's what I wanted and what I meant. I went here for a shellac manicure because of all the good reviews. When I walked in I was greeted immediately and given the color selection for shellac nails which I was thrilled with because there were so many. I picked a dark gray color and sat where they told me to. I sat for about 20min until she wrapped my fingers in tin foil to soak off my old shellac. Fast forward another 40min and my manicure started. The woman who did the manicure was very rough and meticulous with the cuticles and even cut me pretty bad on one finger but didn't pause. When she started applying my color it appeared very red so I tried to tell her that and she ignored me until I told another woman working there and compared my finger to the color I picked. They blamed the polish and I picked another similar dark gray color. Instead of removing the red she painted over it and at first it looked like a burnt red/gray but now is an unappealing brown color. No refund and no comment when I told them it wasn't either of the colors I wanted. I still paid and tipped but I will never come back. read more

I happened upon this salon, looking for something relatively close to home. I was thoroughly pleased with the services I received here today. Tracy took extra time to do a well-overdo pedicure with gel polish. Kim powder dipped my nails in a fabulous sparkly forest green shade perfect for the holidays. And Terry (Teri?), who I assume is the manager, kept checking to make sure I was pleased with my experience at the Hawaii Nails & Spa. I was given a special order gel ink pen with the salon contact information to boot. I would highly recommend this business and look forward to repeat visits here! read more

Unfortunately, I'm visiting for a wedding, because otherwise I would always get my nails done here. They are super careful and friendly. I had a divine spa pedicure and a dip manicure. Terry mixed the colors on my nails to get the perfect color. I had a cut on my finger and they worked with it so I wouldn't be in pain. Highly recommend!!! read more

The person I usually go to wasn't available unfortunately and found this place on google with great reviews. I REGRET coming here, not sure if the person I got was the owner but I had asked her if she could do a design I showed her and said yes. The whole time she was on the phone talking to someone through her AirPod (which usually I don't mind) and not really listening to what I wanted. There were certain things I wanted off my nails from previous set and she would either say "no" or "leave them longer" and I had to ask twice to remove it. I asked for dip for the design I wanted and instead she put acrylic sculpting stuff on my nails when I didn't want that and and doesn't go with dip. I understand my nails were thin but for someone who is trying not to bite their nails anymore I didn't want that on my nails. When it came to the design, it was horrible and just a huge blob compared to what I wanted. The nail tech stated it needed to be gel for what I wanted when I have seen dip designs with it and I asked her if she had the tools for this design and said no after telling me she could make it. I then switched to just wanted a colored dip and instead of dipping my nail into the polish, she brushed it on my nail on top of the acrylic base which I have never seen before. Also, a phone call came through and she couldn't understand what the person was saying (which is understandable for someone who is bilingual) and wanted to hand me the phone and with Covid did not feel comfortable touching the phone and instead hung up on the customer! As for the dip colors, I was given no examples and just to pick the dip color off the wall which was difficult without seeing the samples. I did change it twice and as I did this I could see her venting to the other co worker and showing her the number two sign to her. That got me furious and I told her to remove the color (only had two fingers done) and I'll leave with just the acrylic base. She still charged me $30 when I didn't even get a full dip color and she also skipped many steps that come with dip and didn't get a manicure as I had asked as well. If this was the owner, it was very unprofessional how the situation was handled and I still left paying the $30. IVE NEVER have had to walk out on a nail salon like this and would not recommend this place. I ended up going to another salon and they also though the acrylic base was ridiculous for dip set. read more

This place is not that great. I called and made an appointment and when I walked in it was nearly empty and they were able to take me immediately which was nice. I get acrylics with gel polish because it stays on better and get no chips. When the man proceeded to buff off the current polish he decided he didn't like the way my acrylics were and ripped them off my nails; which really hurt. Not only did it hurt, but he didn't ask me and there was no reason to have them taken off. After he did that he didn't replace with a tip instead he just put on the acrylic mixture. Not only that when he was buffing the nail he started buffing my skin which also really hurt. Last but not least he didn't paint the color all the way to the cuticle so it looks like it has been growing out for a bit. I'm very unimpressed with this visit and won't be returning. What should be a relaxing day getting my nails done turned to be painful. read more

Nice salon with friendly team. Vast array of services and machines. They do SNS dip powder which I was specifically looking for. I called about 45 minutes before I wanted to try to go and they told me I could come earlier if need be. They take credit cards which is nice when some salons in the area only take cash (or charge a tax for credit cards/make you use their ATMs). The only issue I have is that my nails came out a little chunkier than I like. When I've had SNS done before it just felt like a couple of layers of polish. These feel and look like they have gel tips on them and I would have been fine with that BUT if you look straight at the ends of my nails, you can see that they're uneven and a little lumpy. Thankfully the polish I got done seems to hide the lumpiness. I'm going to wait and see how long these last though before I decide whether or not I'll be back. If they last two weeks (or longer), I'll be back. If not, I may have to go back to my other salon that does dip powder. Maybe I just need to tell the tech about the issue and it can be fixed. read more

I usually don't write reviews because ehhh but I have too. I came in the salon around 7:05, there were only 2 ladies working and one told me to wait a moment. I had no problem waiting because I know I came in a little late and like I said earlier, there were only 2 people whom were currently occupied with other customers. When Terry was finished with her customer it was 7:40 and I felt horrible about making her give me a full set 20 mins before they closed but she did with the biggest smile on her face. She still took her time, and gave me just what I'd asked her for. Terry is soooo sweet, super personable and such a joy to chat with while getting your nails done. The whole salon was super clean, very bright and smelled fresh unlike most salons that smell like chemicals. I can't believe I missed this salon and I hate that it took years of bad shaping, getting cut with cuticle clippers and just always saying "I guess this will do" after I get my nails done even though I wasn't satisfied. My daughter and I stumbled upon this location and Mrs. Terry was so sweet and pleasant. She served us a plate of fruit and jumped right in to service . The facility was clean and she uses liners for pedicures. I am used to scented pedicures but because the pedicure and service was so wonderful I could forego the scented pedicures!
