Good work though…read more While Ethan (the husband) gave me a pedicure, he spoke the whole time about trying to get me into a pyramid scheme and sending me a video to set up a "zoom meeting". Then asking me about it everytime I came back in. You know the whole spiel; mentorship, and startup help, etc. Mia (the wife) kept handling my hands like I was the problem. She made me bleed and said it was my fault because I had paint on my hands. Also up-charging nail services where there's no way out for an introverted person. She also kept telling me I needed micro blading and purposely messed up my eyebrows so that I would agree the next time. This happened twice. She also told me I need to wax my upper lip. I missed a morning appointment and they texted my personal number calling me mean with some emojis attached. I really enjoyed this place my first couple of times and they really do a good job. Just the scammer personalities started coming through after a few visits. I understand the economy is tough right now but like bring it down a bit. Be a little subtle. The schemes drive away customers. I want to relax not be stressed about everyone question or offer you have.

Staff was friendly and they were able to accommodate my need for a walk-in gel manicure on a Sunday afternoon. The salon appeared clean and well taken care of from first glance, but it does look like they are rebuilding their polish displays as they still appear unfinished. The salon is not very big, but they do have about 8 manicure & pedicure chairs, as well as a small waiting area in the front. I was helped by 3 different people while I was there, and did have to move halfway through which was slightly inconvenient. They used a fast-acting polish remover instead of soaking with regular acetone and wrapping in foil, and I didn't like how it made my nails feel. The lady who did my actual manicure was pretty good, but didn't clean up the edges very well. Overall, this was not the best experience I've ever had with a nail salon, but if you need a quick manicure, they will do a good job in a pinch!

Some are good, some are just okay, and some are absolutely over-the-top amazing. When you land one of the great ones, the experience is chef's kiss. One thing that is consistently excellent is the cleanliness of the salon. It is always spotless. There is a very kind gentleman who goes around with a homemade cleaning cart and resets each station almost immediately after a client gets up. He sanitizes everything thoroughly, which really gives peace of mind. Services come with a complimentary beverage, which is a nice touch. Options include water, soda, wine, and beer. The gentlemen who work at the front desk are also extremely friendly, flexible, and always in good spirits. They're easy to talk to and willing to work with you if you have questions or need accommodations. Pedicures are one of my favorite services here. I usually get the Volcano pedicure, which includes a warm, scented neck wrap such a relaxing detail. The massage chairs are great, and I appreciate that they use a timer for the massages, so you're never shorted on time. I do usually ask them to turn the water a bit warmer during pedicures; I think they keep it cooler by default to avoid burning, which I understand and appreciate. Manicures are also very well done. I like that most technicians have their own individual stations, which helps keep things organized and personal. Many technicians also have Venmo or Cash App QR codes at their stations for tipping. If not, you'll need to tip in cash so keep that in mind. There is a card fee if you pay with a card, but there is an ATM located to the left of the front desk if you'd rather pull out cash and save a little. They offer a wide range of colors, styles, and techniques, so whether you're going for something simple or something more detailed, there are plenty of options to choose from. Overall, this salon has become my go-to, and I plan to keep coming back. Technicians Bim - Absolutely wonderful and hands-down the best at nail designs that I've seen. If you're looking for detailed, creative work, Bim is a must-book. Megan (Eyebrows) - I go to Megan for my eyebrows every time. She is fantastic. She originally worked at another salon in Mechanicsville, and I was thrilled when she started working here. She's been doing my eyebrows since 2018, and I wouldn't trust anyone else.

The pedicures were great no issues. The nails however. The woman took a chunk out of my husbands finger when trimming his cuticles and then tried to quickly out liquid bandage on it before he noticed in a coverup effort vs cleaning it then and there and apologizing. While my nails initially looked fine aside from a little bit of shaping issues on one or two (not a huge deal at all) less than a week later (services on Wednesday, pictures taken on following tuesday) 6 of my nails have EXTREME wrinkling and lumps in the gel polish.
