Gel manicure

Great experience at Ruby's. I came in around 9:30/10am on Saturday and they were PACKED. Despite that, I was sat quickly and serviced not too long after. The pedicure was fine but I got knicked during the manicure. The tech was quick about cleaning it and moved forward but the alcohol burned. They had a lot of nail colors and I was happy with how it came out. I think I spent about $80 with the tip.

Sloppy work

I was charged $167 (that's the price without the tip) for my nails and toes! They up charge everything! They charged $30 extra dollars just to have chrome on my nails. And $17 extra for gel on my toes. Charged me $5 extra for my shape of nail (coffin) which wasn't a big deal just never been charged extra anywhere for a nail shape. And this was the type of job I got... also noticed weird red marks on my neck from the heated neck pillow that was included in the deluxe pedicure.. very odd! Disappointing to say the least. If you charge this high then the quality should reflect the price but it does not!

A great space, and so beautifully decorated inside!

As soon as I walked in I was greeted, and set down for my pedicure. I needed a Pedicure, an awful set of acrylic nails taken off from another salon I visited, I wanted a gel design manicure, and my eyebrows and lip waxed. B was my nail tech and he went above and beyond. My pedicure was amazing! He did awesome, and my manicure was the best I've ever had. He took his time and did a great job, and even kindly received my feedback if I needed something adjusted on my nail design. Hannah did my eyebrows and on fleek isn't even the word! I love this salon! It's so beautiful and inviting as well. They also offer drink when you are getting your service. I opted for water but debated a glass of wine! Did I mention I withdrew money from their atm to pay in cash.. it doesn't charge a fee and I got 7% off! I will be back!

They were able to accommodate me within 30 min of my phone call requesting a service so I'll give them props for that. All I wanted was gel polish removed and a clear coat of polish. The technician cut my cuticle once and it wasn't too bad so I didn't say anything but it was slightly bleeding. But then she gouged another finger and it hurt so bad I jumped up! She apologized and as it bled profusely, she got some sort of talc powder to stop the bleeding. I was shocked at how bad my nails looked when I left and she told me she took $8 off for me. It definitely should have been free. First time in my life I didn't tip. First experience here and definitely my last. I was talking to the ladies at my gym about it and they mentioned similar experiences there.

NICKEL & DIME - Buyer beware...be sure to ask for pricing before you agree to anything!! I went in for a pedicure with gel & a acrylic fill with gel...first, the water was cold in my pedicure bath, then she charged for every single thing she did - cut down, the shaping, repairs & finger design...I understand the finger design but there were no repairs & the other things are all part of having the fill! I was one of the last ones out last night & they don't show you the itemized receipt until after you pay so I paid she slides me the receipt & I leave....I've never been here so I just thought they were more expensive than my usual salon (I'm visiting from out of town). After I looked over my receipt I saw all the charges so I came back in this evening to go over it. The girl that did my nails said that the repairs were from where the acrylic came off of 3 nails & she had to redo it. Anyway, just beware that they charge for every single thing you have done.

I have been a client of Ruby Nails for years. I think they do a great job, and I am very critical; having grown up in a major city I've had the best of the best. It will be in your best interest to go on a slower day, and make an appointment. I've never had any problems getting in, or having the same girl do my nails every time. She is wonderful, as are most of the techs there. I will continue to be a happy customer. Also, their new salon is beautiful. They will be able to accommodate so many more customers. Definitely recommend.

Love the new space! I came to get a fill in on pink and white full set I had done about two weeks ago. I wasn't very Happy with the set, there was some tiny black particles in the pink, there was a lot of bubbling and they were extremely thick sitting on top of my nail. So tonight, I made sure to ask for someone who really had experience with pink and white. Tina, the manager, immediately decided to do them herself and did a phenomenal job! They are so natural looking and exactly what I wanted. So pleased. I will be making my appointments with her exclusively! My only criticism would be, if a nail technician isn't knowledgeable or doesn't feel confident doing a client's request, ask the client to wait. I'd much rather wait, be told to come me back or schedule with a particular person then feel like I'm not getting the best! Tonight was great though and I'm a happy customer :)

This place is hit or miss. You really have to get the right nail tech. I love the lady who does my nails, but yesterday I didn't have time to make an appointment so I just walked in for a gel pedicure. Not only were my toenails cut too short, but the polish application after seeing it in the light is patchy and kinda of messy looking not to mention it already came off completely on one toe so now I'm having to take it all off.

Ask the Community - Ruby Nails and Spa

Do you know if they use autoclave sterilization for their tools (not just UV) and clean the filter in the tubs for each client or use plastic tub liners for pedicures? I know it's a little paranoid, but I'd rather be safe than sorry! Thanks!

We have autoclave sterilization for the tools , and always clean the tub each time customer and use liner for pedicure chair !

The nail tech, Esther, did a great job on my dip manicure and gel pedicure.

Not the high quality pics they post…read more Coming back after my honeymoon to write my review : this place was so frustrating. The woman/owner at the front who answers the calls was clearly exceptionally talented. I do actually think HER work is the one broadcasted on social media. My maid of honor reached out via instagram with a photo of what I wanted for my wedding nails and when I got to the salon, I was excited to get started as it was the literal day before my wedding. (We DIY'd the WHOLE thing and I needed to make sure I didn't break any nails in the days before) I can't remember the name of my nail tech, but IMMEDIATELY I realized we were in a sticky situation. I tried to trust the process, showed her photos, told her I wanted a squoval French with the gold line to highlight the manicure. After I watched her MULTIPLE TIMES glue the tips on crooked, and I'm not talking like picky girl crooked, I mean DISFIGURED crooked - Once we got to the gold tip portion, I was told by the woman/owner up front "she can't work with metallics and do lines like that can you pick a different design?" In my head, I'm like, "did you not schedule this?" "Would you let me leave with my hands looking like this?" "Why don't you do it?" But she had another client and was doing anything absolutely gorgeous job on her nails while simultaneously dealing with a tough situation on the phone. I was so totally thrown off guard by this, already by the shape of my nails which definitely were very DUCK looking and the fact that we communicated with their instagram which is riddled with insane talent that I didn't know what to do. The woman up front/owner was very clearly and personally going through something on the phone that I really felt bad about and I just didn't want to ruin anyone's day so I just sucked it up and left with the absolute worst manicure of my life after so many times explaining that these were my wedding nails. My poor maid of honor got similar treatment where she got dip nails and her male manicurist put them back in white dip at the end so her nails literally looked like she played in glue. Im so frustrated. I understand people have hard days, but no one asked me any questions or seemed to care that I was getting married and chose their salon to do my nails. We had a huge wedding of 165 people and I had to show my ring to all of them - my nails will be plastered in photos for everyone to see. I tried to file them down on the sides, went to a cvs to try to fix them myself after our rehearsal dinner as I had 0 time to do anything since we were on a pretty big time crunch and my index nail on my left hand was literally pointing right. The salon itself is pretty, it seemed clean, but as far as marketing goes, I can't believe this happened to me. I paid 70 dollars and I always try to tip well, because I do want to believe the tech tried her best and that it wasn't necessarily her fault that the appointment we made was for something she couldn't do, so I tipped $20. Disappointed, sad and honestly feeling a bit robbed by them still. One week after as well, there was an odd gap of clear space between the French and the actual pinkish color that literally turned yellow on our honeymoon. Mortified to show my hands there. Now, even after I correctly took off the nails with acetone, I am left with an awful RING OF FIRE on my nail beds. this has never happened to me before and from what I hear, it means the tech was careless. The gift that keeps on giving! So now, after my wedding and getting my new and beautiful ring, I can't even get my nails done to show it off. I have to wait until these grow out. I will update the review with more pictures as they come in but here they are currently less than 1 month post appointment
